S7 Edge 7.0 Beta install - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hey I wanted to install the nougat firmware on my s7 edge. I got the phone from Australia on a plan from vodafone. I have already downloaded firmware from a mega link, i was wondering if someone can give me a quick run through on where each file goes and after the firmware installs does it trip knox and will i get OTA updates

Follow these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...word-links-t3497078/post69558512#post69558512
Though you should download the latest version of Odin, 3.12.3.
And no, it won't trip Knox. OTA updates, no one knows yet. The beta will only last a few months anyway until they release it.

So i have to flash all 4 files with odin and if i wanted to go back to my stock vodafone firmware i would just flash it with odin again.

If you have carrier I think the best way is to keep your CSC.
Import three files AP, BL and CP into odin and add original CSC (don't flash the csc from nougat)

Thats what i did, i restarted a few times and it seemed to fix it now i just gotta fix the battery drain

Also the facebook app keeps crashing

Samsung have started pushing out an update for Nougat that fixes the Facebook crashing.

Cool thank you for help, now if i wanted to go back to my stock firmware do i just flash all 4 files from my original vodafone firmware

Nothing is wrong, Sometimes the OTA just doesn't come through. I would check... http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910F/ and flash the ROM you want via Odin. If not connect to the PC and run KIES to see if the update comes via that. Hope this helps.

Not an official ROM via Odin/kies, your warranty is safe.

Below you can find the link for 5.0.1 BOC3 official firmware (no waranty void when flashing official firmwares). It is the latest one uploaded for DBT Germany. I would recommend flashing this as OTA's are usually faster on this CSC version. Best of luck and hope you enjoy the sweetness of lollipop

B: Backup your data. Download your country's rom from sammobile. Flash it via odin.

Stable custom rom for N910F

Hello,
Currently I have on my note 4 a Emotion Revolution R14 rom, but with this rom my battery life is only 8 hours maximum. I'am searching for a simple custom rom with Android lollipop or better the new marshmallow rooted and with all the function of the note 4 (pen, fingerprint, heart rate sensor ecc...) but stable and with an acceptable battery life. Can someone give me some suggestions for choose a best rom please?
Thanks to all.

Is not as complicated as it seems. Inside the zip file is a file called options.prop. Simply extract that to the root of either internal or external card and edit the CSC in there. When you open it you'll see what I mean.
Then when you flash the rom it will use that info. If you don't extract or edit the file, the rom will use whatever CSC you are currently using.
PS Don't forget to flash the CP & BL files with Odin, or you will get a boot loop.

I reverted from nougat beta to stock mm. It works.
Your firmware might be broken or your odin might be of older version.
Try downloading both again from sammobile.com
It will work
Did it work for you? I am having the same problem. Odin is stuck at system.img. OEM unlock is off and so is usb debuggin i guess.

I doubt that for warranty purposes that the csc matters as long
as it's an official samsung firmware from sammobile.
People move back and forth from different countries in europe
all the time that's why a different csc does not void the warranty.
But you can if you like, go to sammobile and flash the original
firmware with the same csc which the phone came with.
Hi that's what I did flashing back from BTU but every time it's flashing VIA csc instead of O2U

Will give that a try next week. I've flashed the phone about 10 times over the last two days. I'll probably end up bricking it.Thanks for your reply.

My phones get flashed thousands of times, no worry!
I got the same issue with the CSC. Did you manage to get the correct CSC in the end?
