Sprint S7 Edge Root and Custom ROM? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have two very quick questions.
Can you currently root a Sprint S7 Edge, is the process different from other S7 models?
Do the custom roms in this section work with the Sprint S7 Edge specifically? Or is it dependent on the rom?
Thanks a ton, I am a noob.

Currently no root for any US spec Qualcomm SOC S7s. That means no root for Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile.
And no custom ROMs for the U.S. spec S7s, either.

Flash AT&T Stock to Sprint S7

I'm considering buying a used Sprint S7. The AT&T ones are hard to come buy / more expensive. I also want root access. The Sprint S7 is unlocked. I have read a lot about LTE problems when bringing a non-AT&T S7 to AT&T. I figure flashing the AT&T Stock ROM will eliminate these problems. What would the best process be to do this? Flash AT&T then root... or would I have to Root Sprint, flash AT&T, root AT&T.
Sure would love to do that. I have sprint and hate the +1 and root is so slow

S6 egde+ G928A

after rooting can i use any another software varient of the s6 egde+. since mine is an at&t varient, there isn't much there.and mostly all the mods and roms i have seen here is for the other varients.
will there be any problem if i flash the stock rom of indian varient in it?
As at&t uses also GSM network you should be able, just make sure you do use a kernel that match your model.

7.0 for AT&T?

It's been awhile since I have owned a Samsung and I'm about to get a Note 4 so I was wondering what Android 7.0 Roms are out that will work with the AT&T Snapdragon model. I see Roms for all the international models and even the T-Mobile variants but I don't see anything for the AT&T variant. I will have to brush up on my flashing and Rom'ing skills as it's been too long since I have done it but I am familiar with doing all this. Thanks guys.

There is no custom ROMs for at&t model to be honest. At&t lock there devices down completely so at present there is no root, no twrp and no ROMs. Dont think there ever will be
callumbr1 , yeah, I have been doing allot of research and it's very disappointing. But there is always getting a t mobile device unlocked and still being able to enjoy some Nougat love.....

TWRP possible?

I'm debating buying an AT&T variant and I seen a QC TWRP for S7 but wasn't certain it'd flash to an ATT model
Our bootloaders are locked. No custom recovery or fw available that isn't samsung. If your carrier is att you won't get volte WiFi calling or video calling without the g930a.
Thanks for verifying, a shop broke my s6 and I'm just researching a replacement now, but the only S7 they had was ATT. Other choices was S6, S6 Edge, or a Sprint Note 5
My biggest concern is unbricking if I made a booboo. I wasn't aiming for AOSP roms, but a debloated stock rom would suffice
Package disabler pro works wonders and the 7.0 update is pretty stable, and there is always u firmware

Are all S7s regardless of carrier the same spec wise? Flash custom AT&T on Verizon

Are all S7s regardless of carrier the same spec wise? Flash custom AT&T on Verizon
As i understand it the verizon s7 is sim unlocked and if you flash the unlocked kernel on it you can get the LTE bands working
Based on that i would assume i can flash a custom at&t rom on a verizon s7 edge, but i figured i would ask
I am planning on buying an s7 and the verizon models are the cheapest
I will be using it on a GSM based carrier
I'd also like to know this as related to: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContract/comments/a2lxjr/skype_boom_red_pocket_data_only_alternates_for/
Theres probably info in the verizon forum
