Just wanna play Portal on here ?
No.
Nobody knows if one is being worked on or anything do they?
Yes, people are working on it. That doesn't mean they'll be successful or, if they eventually succeed, how long it will take.

Dear Xda Developers
dear teams first of all i am sorry if any one has already posted such kind of thread i just want to know that on XDA great teams and people are working together on different devices to make them better for common people use.
today i have same Question for you all
i am searching for posts regarding verizon note 3 lollipop root and have not found any solution one click root does not work towelroot does not work root de la vegas not working in short nothing is successful against rooting Verizon Note 3 SM N900V.!! i just want to say that there are thousands of developers but still could not make a simple root for this device. kindly do not forget this device there are a lot of users like me waiting for root kindly do something about give it your attention guys root is needed.!!
Note: if it cannot be rooted on 5.0 then kindly make a root on 4.4.4 so those who are on 5.0 revert back to 4.4.4 via Odin (i have tried reverting back to 4,4,4 using Odin and it worked) and then can root 4.4.4 if you guys successful make root available for Verizon Note 3 SM N 900V running on 4,4,4 please let us know if there is currently any dev working on this device??
one more there is a new method knows as multiboot or something similar which is used to run dual roms on this device i had seen video on Youtube and could not sort out how to do it as i do not have root and without root nothing is possible kindly someone pay attention to this device. as its been a long time since no root>> [/SIZE][/B][/B]
Lots of us is waiting for it but there is no solution for now ...hope it ll be soon ..
Really?? Every other thread is asking the same questions.
/rant
Well.. I think at least read the other post about this topic, before posting something like this.. but anyways I'll give you a quick heads up.
Basically the main reason that root can't be done by now it's cause of Verizon blocking the bootloader on lollipop also banning the kernel from 4.4.2 where root was possible.
Another point why root hasn't been accomplished by now is cause the people who are able to accomplish that are already working for some company's who pays them to patch those kinds of vulnerability and some others are focused in his school or PhD.
So.. before posting such a request read a little bit son you can be aware of what's going on.
Cheers!
Just jumping in.... Has anybody tried Kingroot 4.0? or the new PingPong root for the s6?

I've done a bit of a research on Ping pong root... it seems it's only for note4 and s6 devices.
So I said let's give it a try who knows what might happen.. so I installed.
At first I thought it will give a message like device not supported but no actually it installs supersu but at the moment of pressing Get root! It gives me a message that supersu is not installed.
So... No. Ping Pong Root still does not work for us yet.
I'll keep up with that thread to see if it comes in handy to help us get root access.

I tried the King root dated 13 Jun, and it didnt work either.
Bummer. Was hoping since the S6 was 5.+ with root, we might get lucky. Oh well...

Is anyone ever going to make a full root for this with CWM or TWRP or is it a lost cause. I was following the threads discussing making a working root for this phone but no one is posting in them any more. I'm really sad because it would be a great phone if it was fully root able.
Don't lose hope yet. My roommate is going to work on it but he needs the source code for it. I don't fully understand these things but what I do understand is he needs the kernel and the uncompiled code so that he can work on writing something. So if anyone out there can help with that that would be great.
Nice thanks man well I have one idk if that helps

It might, it depends on your level of experience and what you're willing to do. More testers always helps, my device will be used for the first testing of things, and if I'm able to boot without any issues I can push it to anyone else willing to test it. This is still a ways off because we still need someone to help us get the stock source code so if you have any tech savvy friends network with them and see if they have any input on how to get that code.
For sure will do man

Found this in my recent searches and exploring. Has anyone tried it? Last I understood they were a pretty great source for root access. Even featured here I believe.
Let me know if anyone tries it. Thanks!

Not sure this will work. This method was mentioned a while back and didn't work, unless they know about a loop hope no one else has discovered. Our s7 requires the engboot to gain root access. I'm not on this firmware, but I'd be curious. I would just have a b6 firmware ready for Odin before trying.

I'm successfully rooted on the U firmware and will not be flashing anything anytime soon lol. Or else I would try it.
But one click root usually works by taking advantage of exploits already in the code. For instance, say the there's a system app that executes something as root in the /data directory, they take advantage of that and have that executable do something like install root. Very poor example but it's basically the gist of it.
I wouldn't be surprised if it worked. I really hope someone tries it!

They want 90.00 to root. I wont pay that!
I have two galaxy S8's. One is sprint, one is Verizon. Both are legal. I have read and been fed so much crap , I am told there isnt a way to root g950usqs3CRE2.. I have two that started with different build numbers and have ended up the same . Last patch, May 1st, OUCH!! Oneclickroot says that I cant get root because of lvl 3bootloader, other xda guys saying you dont need an unlocked bootloader. Anybody want to help? Im doubting peoples abilities a little bit with what I'm reading. Hope not. I got one of these rooted and unbricked already. Lets see who really knows. I will follow you graciously. Lmk. Please!!! Jeff
Here's a definitive answer: We don't have root for bootloader rev. 3, so just sit tight for the next few weeks or months.
Also, the only way for us to get root is through engineering files, because the bootloader is rock solid. So we've been getting root without an unlocked bootloader. Pretty impressive, right?

Hopes never lost. We all I'm sure have done some testing. Just every which way been patched on ours. And we can't figure out what's different with the +model.
Title. I no longer use this phone but I would _love_ to be able to get deleted stuff off of it. I did this in the past with my old LG G3 and never had any issues like this phone has with getting to root. I tried it when I first got the phone, tried it a year later. never worked. Now trying 3 yrs lol. Is there anything I can do or am I SOL?
@Phoenix591 already answered this for you on Reddit. I don't know what else to tell you.
Original Reddit post for anyone else who is reading
Thats an Oreo version, and so is past the point of no return. It's unrootable. Tiny electronic fuses have been physically burned to prevent it from booting rootable firmware.
As I mentioned the last version that has the ability to return to a rootable version was ZV7 (the actually rootable versions were ZV5 or earlier, however LS997 did updates weird which ment that firmware wasn't available to flash using the same tools other models use... If on ZV6 or ZV7 its possible to root by crossflashing another model's firmware briefly ) , which was a few updates before oreo came out.

Unfortunately, the LS997 ended up being more limited than the other carrier-specific models. However, root access is getting harder to come by on new carrier-specific devices in general.
