Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has made an S7 port rom or a note 5 port running 6.0.1? All the roms I've seen for the note 4 (N910F) have been stock roms running 6.0.1 and don't have things like the theme store.

Heyy check out this link this is S7 port MM 6.0.1, works for the following N910T, N910T3 and N910W8..... really smooth and fast.
Try flashing your N910F i remmeber i was using a few different roms earlier and the N910T is always compatible to work with N910F.

You can install MaxOvrDrive S7Edge port rom and you have to flash a compatible kernel after. Maybe you will need a data fix also.

I'm trying to install that myarom s7 port from htc mania having a hell of a bad install. At first TWRP couldn't update binary from zip ended up updating TWRP and it installed. Then didn't move past the Samsung logo so went back into recovery wiped delik cache phone booted. On screen it said in spanish "android is starting" though this was a completely green material design type screen, finally finished loading the apps or whatever it does then went back to the Samsung logo just vibrated every so often didn't do anything. I pulled battery and rebooted now it's just sitting at Samsung logo again I'm gonna wait another 15 mins to see if it does anything if not I'll wipe everything again and reinstall rom. Sucks though it's getting late here in the UK lol currently 12:15 at night.

mya rom work with coj3 bl and cp.you dont update binary from twrp.maybee you have 2-3 reboot before open

Right so I finally got that rom to install and love it turned out I was using the wrong bootloader etc needed to use COJ3. Rom is fantastic has near enough every S7 feature including the new edge features, always on display semi works tho is a little dim and when u go to unlock the phone the brightness dims down and won't return until you lock the phone. Fingerprint scanner when I tried to set it up gave some error said to restart haven't tried restarting yet.
Only downside though is xposed doesn't seem to want to install. I'm using the latest custom alt version of xposed but just gets stuck on the flashing Samsung logo so that sucks. Has anyone got a way to get xposed to install on a custom touchwhiz rom running 6.0.1?
Kurama rom is likely an s7 port. Version 2 will be released tomorrow if i'm not wrong.

Nope Kuruma Rom is Note 4 stock 6.0.1 Marshmallow
Rom works without data fix?
Inviato dal mio SM-G935F utilizzando Tapatalk
Yeah I tried the Kuruma Rom to find it's just stock note 4. Only problems with this Myarom S7 port is the fingerprint scanner doesn't work and no option in keyboard settings to enable the auto switching between handwriting mode when I pull the S-pen out so no way at all to get to handwriting mode. Otherwise I'm loving the rom google now on tap works great, android pay even works which I tried on a note 5 port rom on 5.1.1 and it said it couldn't verify my device even tried rootcloak etc this Myarom android pay is all set up just fine didn't even install any root cloaking apps or disable root plus I have xposed installed as well.
Ahh isn't maximum ovrdrive s7 port

I'm running Echoe S7Edge port vs. 3 and my experience differs. System speed and battery life is the best I've seen on this phone.....pulled 6hrs screen-on with heavy internet usage, auto brightness on stock battery apposed to the average 4.5hr screen-on I've seen for the life of this device.
Fingerprint and wireless tether not working as well as volte and wireless calling. Bluetooth tether and USB tether do work. For my usage i do fine without those few functions and do not regret the choice one bit....I'll probably never run stock 6.0.1 for the N910T because I'll be losing some of the edge functionality that suits my usage more than the issues pointed out above.
Also stock dpi of note 4 is 640
Dpi of all the S7edge ports is 640......
When stock 6.0.1 drops for the N4 it'll be 640 dpi.....

When Samsung update the freakin' Note 4 to 5.1.1 we may end up getting the new TouchWix UX or whatever it's called, but in all honesty I don't think that's going to happen (just my opinion)- we'll probably get the new TouchWiz with Android M.

The American variants have 5.1.1 and don't have the new tw and theme engine.
When we do get 5.1.1 it will make it a lot easier to port s6 and n5 features though so you will see lots of custom roms with the new launcher

My last phone was an LG, but was also an ATT phone. Updates took around 1-2 months to receive after other variants of my phone got their updates. But LG released their updates at about the same speed at Samsung IMO. However, I think they at least kept people up to date with ETAs.

"North American" N910C note 4 variant doesn't exist. Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and search for SM-N910C firmware. There are several regions that released MM for N910C, but I recommend the Poland (XEO) version.

I have been using marshmallow for roughly a month and the battery usage is way better compared to lollipop. My current screen on time is 3 hrs and 48 minutes with 11% battery life remaining and I am using your same model phone on AT&T. I would recommend Marshmallow update for your device.

I see. I just don't have a pc. I was able to temp root with king root, flash twrp, and then from there flash a kernel to get perm root.......so is there any way to get to MM from there without a pc? I can't get a rom to flash, it just gives me an error about being unable to map the file. Not sure what that is about, it was the note 5 rom v05. Radio and kernel flashed just fine though. Edit: Keeps giving me an Error 7 when trying to flash ROMs in particular. Edit again: It was the kernel i was using to Perm root. It wasn't liking me installing a rom with that i guess. I restored and skipped the install of that and then was able to get a rom to install so ignore that, but my original question about MM with no PC still persists.

Yes please lol. I think I was sold a phone with bad hardware or maybe just a bad battery. On stock LP the battery acts really funny. It'll get to a certain percentage and either shut down on me or I have visually watched the percentage just drop by 1 percent until it's dead in 2 second intervals even after attempting to calibrate it. It seems better on a custom rom and I haven't experienced it yet. I'm hoping it's just a bad battery but I can't seem to find another one to buy to test it out. A couple of times on stock too while changing animation speeds the screen would start flashing red (not the red borders) I mean the whole screen would flicker and would only go away on a restart. Not sure what that was about. I only payed $100 off of CL for this phone. If it really is just the battery, that's a helluva deal lol.

First, what you do to your phone is your responsibility, etc., etc.
I am not a developer. The work is mostly not mine. A group of folks have been playing with this for a couple weeks over in the General section, and thanks to a great deal of help from others, it is ready to put out there. Hopefully, a developer can polish it and work out the few kinks there are. I will continue to explore and experiment. but this feels like a daily driver at this stage!
1. Gather the files needed as listed in the instructions.
2. I was on the BPA1 modem.
3. I wiped the phone completely. Everything but the micro sd.
4. Install Nameless Rom available at Er. Aditya's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-nameless-mm-lightfastdeodexed-t3363547
5. Install Louforgiveno's Verizon data fix (attached).
6. Install AEL kernel available here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636001208
7. Reboot. It will take 15 minutes or so to finish the boot and may reboot during the process. Be patient. Once the phone boots completely, and you go through setup, it will take a few minutes to establish connection to the network, but it has been solid for me once it does. This occurs each time you boot.
8. Reboot into recovery and flash Chainfire's SU available here (the kernek will wipe it): https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
Alternative kernel posted by Kcnycity: H-Vitamin kernel found here http://sharewidget.org/forum_xda-developers/note-4/snapdragon-dev/kernel-h-vitamin-t3364213. I found that I lost brightness control with this kernel on my dev edition, but not my retail. Which raises another point raised by douger1957. I think we had assumed that the dev phones and retail are the same, but the experience has varied across a number of users, so it is a trial and error process for each phone to find the best combination for your device.
ALTERNATIVE ROM: Try Dr. Ketan S7 rom here (for 910G) : http://www.drketanrom.com/n910g.html
Use the H-Vitamn kernel. Looks flawless so far. Network access is faster. And theme engine!
I had forgotten how much fun this can be!
Thanks go to:
Louforgiveno, without whom this would not be happening
Er. Adiytya and his team, who allowed me to use his port
KeTuRr74, who pointed us in the right direction for the data fix
FYI, at least two other roms from the Snapdragon forum will work with this process.
Known issues with this version:
1. Verizon Message Plus works but does not complete the subscription process. (Update: After about 14 hours, Message + has synced).
2. Slow to connect to network

It should be noted that there seems to be differences in how the ROMs from the Snapdragon forum behave, depending on whether your phone is a Developer Edition or a converted Retail Edition. It's suspected that there are different bootloaders at play.
Also, try to make sure that you give thanks to louforgiveno and keturr74. Both have been a big help in bridging the gap between Verizon phones and the other Snapdragon variants.

Dr Ketan's? I'm going to install that this weekend.
I messed with this a bit last weekend with Keturr's ROM. louforgiveno's data fix came in too late in the weekend and I had to recover to Jasmine. Everything I got to try with Keturr's ROM worked, other than data.
For what it's worth... for those who feel married to TouchWiz because of S Note, it's now available in the Play Store.
I couldn't get data or signal to stay at all. And when I went to add my Google account, it would completely shut the phone off. Had to restore back to a previous twrp restore to fix anything. And that was on a clean install.

Marshmallow is coming to the N910V. But when? If you want Marshmallow now and not on Verizon's schedule, this is how you do it. I didn't see anything misleading. This is posted in the Development thread and not in General, where you'd expect to see an announcement about official Marshmallow.
The OP and others did quite a bit of work to bring TouchWiz Marshmallow options to our phones. To them, I extend my thanks.

My screen flickering used to appear when i set the brightness level to the lowest and it used to appear only in places where the white color is dominant that's it mostly with pictures and when i open one of drawing apps because the canvas is white to make that stops i tried to set the brightness to a bit higher level and yeah the flickering stopped but i can't do that all the day because of the battery.
It doesn't appear in the download mode or anywhere else it's just mostly where all the screen is white funny thing is if you did a screenshot the flickering won't appear
So i downgraded to lollipop i can hardly see a flickering i bet even if it was there it's not noticeable

I noticed that other versions of the note 3 have roms which run android 7.0, but I have not been able to find any which support the verizon version. are there any available for the Verizon Note 3?
Not touchwiz, I thought I saw aosp cyan type Rom some where but it wasn't for cdma model as far as I know

I'm using the Resurrection Remix ROM that's currently running 7.1.2! I've been using it for a month now and it's fantastic.

On a Verizon note 3? Does everything work? Where did you download the rom from?

I used this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/unofficial-resurrection-remix-t3528943 I rooted and flashed this to my phone when I was still on Lolipop! everything works, but the spen still kinda works, but you can't see its location on the screen and it doesn't work in some places. But, with some tweaks you can probably make it work, I was just being lazy

How were you able to install it? When I try to flash it, it fails saying "E3004: This package is for device: SM-N900V,hltevzw; this device is hlte'

Can you post your phone specs? This only worked for me while I was on lollipop! If you are currently trying on lolipop, make sure that PL1 you roll back to OF1 by flashing this http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=E930D4F2233B11E6949E0CC47A44B7B2 I flashed the ROM using TWRP recovery

While you are correct for using an hlte recovery (they merged device support) most ROMs/update packages have a check for the model at the very beginning of the updater-script. You can manually edit the ROM package to remove that check or just temporarily use an hltevzw recovery.

SPenCommand works great and does add a little circle cursor under the stylus. https://plus.google.com/communities/104634120781641997201

Can you elaborate more please?
I'm coming from 6.0.1, OF1 baseband N900V, and I don't use Verizon network\LTE, but GSM HSDPA.
Which version do I need to flash?
Thanks!
I downloaded this rom and installed it on my Verizon note 3, I currently had 5.0 of1 installed with a jasmine rom, wanted to try this...downloaded to my SD card , booted to twrp recovery, did a full wipe and installed this rom and gapps, everything was working good except it didn't recognize my Sim card, even pulled the battery and Sim and tried reinsert it, still said no mobile network found...any ideas? I am on Verizon network..
Never mind, I think it was because I didn't have the hltevzw twrp installed
