"Microsoft® Windows Mobile® smart handheld devices, announced today that it has signed an acquisition agreement with Dopod International, one of the leading PDA Phone and smartphone distributors in Asia, to purchase the assets of nine Dopod subsidiaries, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, India, and Philippines.
The acquisition agreement, still subject to shareholder approval, was approved by HTC's Board of Directors on May 8, 2007, values the assets of Dopod International's subsidiaries at the sum of Dopod International's adjusted net worth at the end of second quarter of 2007, certified by CPA as of June 30, 2007. The transfer of all assets will become effective on July 1, 2007. HTC estimates that the sum will not exceed USD $14.5 million dollars. The combined marketing, sales, and service capabilities of both companies will strengthen HTC's position within the Asian market, providing consumers in the region with a comprehensive range of mobile devices and services. To maximize the synergies of the acquisition and to implement new joint business initiatives, Dopod International's entire workforce will be expected to join HTC. Dopod's vast, accumulated experience in the retail market will benefit HTC as HTC expands its brand presence in the future.
After the acquisition, HTC will unify the products under a single global brand. In the future, all of HTC's new products will be marketed under the HTC brand. However, Dopod International's current on-the-market products will still be sold under the Dopod brand name. Furthermore, to provide first-class service to existing Dopod customers, HTC will offer after-sales support to consumers who purchased products before the acquisition."
Will this effect us who bought Dopod product before acquisition? Or we can still our guarantee for our product?
Any one know? (wu usually you know much about dopod)
Thanks...
Yes of course there is still full support/guarantee.

they have been wanted to do this for years, finally it's done. DOPOD was originally for Asia Market only, and HTC is for Europe Market, now there is just one global brand call HTC.
DOPOD and HTC are own by the same person in the first hand anyway, all the people who work for DOPOD will merge with HTC, therefore all the technician will remind too. Which is a good news for people who bought HTC X7500, DOPOD usually provide a better ROM. In turns of service and support, DOPOD owner don't need to worry, it will be carry on from HTC ( The Asian market is still handle under DOPOD people, it just they are call HTC now).
So in conclusion, both HTC X7500 and DOPOD U1000 benefit on this , and the amount of support we will get increase. Now we just need to hope HTC made the right decision on taking the path of brand building, as you might know, HTC used to manufacture most of the PDA before (for HP and Dell...etc). But because HTC decide to start selling it's own device, this make HP and Dell unhappy, so they start pulling out and ask other people to manufacture their device. A risky road for HTC but if they want to grow big, this is the only way, they want to be the next Nokia.
Anyway, DOPOD is working on WM6 update for DOPOD U1000 already, haven't heard anything from HTC yet, but it's quite likely DOPOD will also handle the HTC WM6 update. Afterall, they are really the same.
Thanks... for the reply...
Hope the dopod indonesia will going better to ...

yes, that right, there is no real reason for the processor they use, sometimes it's due to the amount of stock they have for each processor.
Hello Everyone,
I have been a long time reader and some time poster on this forum. Unfortunately, I am posting probably for the last time because... I am placing up for sale my X9000.
My wife is 13 1/2 weeks pregnant (our first, YEAH) and after much thought/reflection, etc. I am going to part with it. I haven't used it all that much because I have been bringing my work lappy home with my aircard.
This little unit is such an eye turner while at Barnes & Noble sipping on a latte, crusin the web via the CDMA modem (only used through a few charging cycles, not a SINGLE SCRATCH ON IT ANYWHERE).
I am placing up for sale here first before considering Ebay or Craigslist. It is in GEM MINT Condition with all accessories, box, packaging, manuals, etc.
Feel free to contact me via email at: [email protected].
I purchased about 4 months ago. If you'd like more details, photos, etc, please let me know. Oh, by the way, I live in Charleston, South Carolina. I have 100% Ebay Feedbacks on over 100 transactions (as the Seller) starting in 2003 and am a PayPal premier/verified customer. If you're near me, we can discuss options to meet or if you wish to discuss selling through Ebay to protect us both, I am open/flexible.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello everyone! I want to sell 3D printers. Please tell me an e-commerce solution with good parameters!
Shopify: Shopify is a popular e-commerce platform that is easy to use and set up. It offers a variety of features that are perfect for selling 3D printers, such as product variants, shipping options, and marketing tools.
Yet another low cost "Smartphone" with Sportwatch biometric monitoring, Alexa connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, the DO ID208BT (2022) https://www.idoosmart.com/item/ID208BT.html has found its way onto my wrist to evaluate.
I note others in their product line with 4G/LTE and 2023 models advertising 5G connectivity.
It has and is appearing through many OEM's having their company brand on the watch and its packaging and with a search can be had in one-off quantities for ~$30USD, and in 100 piece quantities for $15-$25 depending on the level of Logo customization since 2021.
This company uses the Andriod App VeryFit, and Health3
I note a very large number of very low cost, high feature laiden wearable devices for 2023 incorporating many similar features and compatible Android Apps and direct phone carrier connectivity with claims the apps do not collect and store any information, which I find hard to believe.
As this is a developers forum, has anyone really started to look into these for customizable features, call home functions and hacks? I'd like to hear from anyone with one of these ID208BT aka Smartwatch 3 in one OEM other OEM brands.
Let's play!
