Pinyin input got updated to 4.3.something, but in play store it's still shown as 4.1 which was updated on Jan 7.
And now I can't do gesture input although the switch is on in its setting. Curiously, I tried a few other input methods that support gesture typing for pinyin, and all of them don't work. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this, or could maybe take a minute and see if it's present on their devices. Thanks!
Edit: I tried to install an older version of Pinyin from apkmirror, but it says the package is corrupt and won't allow me to install that. I used the arm64 version.

Please note: I'm not asking for the APK here.
I had an Evo and signed up for the swype beta and was accepted into the program, I returned my evo and got a droid x which comes with swype installed.
As you all know, swype has continually been updated since the version available on my phone. I'm in the beta program and able to download/login to the swype site with my beta account, i've successfully installed the swype beta before on my evo using my credentials.
Here's my problem:
with the latest installer(1.1.5151 i think) it's telling me my current version isn't properly licensed, and is asking me to disable swype to generate a license, because it comes with my droid x i'm not able to disable the keyboard.
even if i have to root is there a way i can disable or remove the built in swype keyboard so i can install the beta?
Are you rooted? If so you can get rid of the swype.apk, but you also have to find the swype library file, which I don't know the exact name or location of off the top of my head.

Tutorial: Installing Beta Swype on Droid X (or other pre-installed devices)
First, your Droid X must be rooted. There is plenty of info out there on how to accomplish this.
Get a root file manager (I use root explorer)
1. Change your default input method to anything other than Swype.
2. Mount file system as R/W
3. Delete (or move/rename) \system\app\swype.apk
4. Delete (or move/rename) \data\dalvik-cache\[email protected]@[email protected]
5. Delete (or move/rename) \system\lib\libSwypeCore.so
6. Reboot
7. Download and Run the latest Swype Beta installer
8. ENJOY!
I hold no responsibility if you screw up your system, and recommend you make a backup before attempting this, but, the above steps worked perfectly for me, and I am now running the latest Swype beta on my X.
These steps should also work on other models that come pre-installed with Swype from the factory, but I don't have another one to test, so have no way of being sure. If anyone tries it, let me know if it works for you!

Why do you want to use the beta instead of the stock Swype app?
The beta does seem to work better
One notable feature in the beta is that you can double tap words to pop up a list of other possible words you meant to use instead
Yes, the new Swype is better than stock: larger keys, better recognition and, as you note, double tap brings up alternate word choices. But no need to mess with the beta registration, authentication, etc. You can update to Swype 2.15 here.
I am Having issues with my galaxy s 4. I have Cmod 10.1 installed and I downloaded google wallet from the play store. Now the app runs fine, but I have no option to set up the "tap to pay" features of the app. I may be doing something wrong in the app, or it may be that its unsupported by the ROM, but any input would be great here, thanks.

CM may not have support for it yet.
Google Wallet reads your device info, including the build.prop file, to verify your phone is supported. If this file doesn't contain the proper information, the app disables tap and pay. Even performing the mod to change the 4G symbol breaks GW with a fully stock ROM.
Your only bet is to either return to stock or download Xposed (if it works for CM) and install the Wallet Patch. However, I don't know if the patch helps with the recently released GW update.
I wanted to get a stock keyboard because of emojis and when I tried to install a default keyboard just by clicking and installing it I got a message that says this ,,App not installed A same package with the same name and Conflicting signature has already been installed. Did you download the emoji keyboard? Try switching to the lg one and then changing it in language and input ????
Is there a way to install the stock keyboard so I don't have to switch keyboard for emojis?
I installed the stock keyboard by uninstalling the ROM one in data/apps and than installing the stock one. That worked but I can't enable the keyboard in settings. Help please.
Hey everyone,
Got here now Lenovo A6010 plus with latest update of android 5.0.2. Here is the problem:
When I go to
GBoard Settings > Dictionary > Add-on dictionaries
I simply look for the language I want to add and mark it. The status changes to Downloading but in a second it goes back to Available again !!! And no downloading starts or language dictionary added.
Google Keyboard comes with the phone and it can't be uninstalled. the problem occurs after updating google keyboard to Gboard (the new google keyboard name). What I tried:
- Restarting the phone.
- Allowing unknown source installation
- Trying same exact steps on another phone on the same wifi and verifying it works
- Trying mobile data and disabling wifi
- Uninstalling the update and installing it again
I attached some screenshots of the process exactly. Looking forward to any suggestion.

I'm using the Google Keyboard 7.8 (but I've also tried older versions) and with all the same problem: the auto correct text or show predictions does not work (obviously I tried all the settings and reset the application many times).
Can anyone tell me how to solve?
Thank you.
Open beta 10 - xXx rom
(Re)download the language pack(s). It will fix the issue.
Edit: or go to GBoard > Language, select English instead of the default Use system language.
Just select your language manually, it will download a dictionary for it
Thanks, but it did not work ...
