I've just recently bought my S7 Edge. When exploring the phone, I've noticed one function that I can set my phone what needs to turn-on or off includes power saving mode.
But somehow, I don't remember where I've activate this function and I'm unable to find this function anywhere within the settings.
Does anyone know about this function and where to find it as I want to turn off auto power saving mode when I'm at the office.
Thanks.

Before I begin, yes I'm probably a relative newbie, yes I've searched the forum, and yes I've read the wiki.
I've got an 8525 running WM6 (thanks vp3G). I always use my phone in vibrate mode when I'm carrying it around, but I need to switch to audio when it is recharging (obviously I can't feel it when its plugged into the wall and sitting on the shelf). An old StarTAC phone of mine had a setting to toggle between vibrate and sound automatically when plugging in to power.
Is there anything like this for Windows Mobile, and specifically for the 8525? If there isn't, I may have to try to see if I can code this myself, but I thought I'd ask first...
Thanks for any help,

Try a search for Kyphur's Hold Comm Button Toggle program (or just "Kyphur", or other derivatives); it allows you to turn on/off the vibrate function by holding the comm button in once (to turn vibe on), then again to turn vibe off. Small pgm, works well, very little memory use. I know the search mechanism isn't perfect but even searching through the threads will work, which is how I found the program
Hope this helps
It sounds like your solution would be a profile switcher. There are programs out there that know to automatically switch profiles when you connect to the car/headset/usb/power...
I've had my S7 Edge G935A since release date. I love this phone, never had a problem until yesterday.
So I left work placing my phone in my pocket checked the time after departing since the meeting ran late all looked good on my phone.
walked into my buddy's house wanted to show him a picture, and my entire screen was greyscale, I thought maybe extreme powersave got turned on in my pocket, so I swipe down to access quick settings, and they are all gone, the gear is there. I tap the gear, and settings comes up:
Wifi
Bluetooth
Mobile Networks
More Connection settings
Edge screen
Battery
Help
NO Other settings no way to swipe just access to those settings,
Click my list of apps and only the like the default gapps.
I have not rooted, or done any major things to the phone I did use adb to format the memory card as internal storage.
I searched google and only found options to turn on greyscale, but I had no access to accessibility in settings, no access to power saving mode.
If I restarted my phone it would come up in color then go greyscale.
I took it to AT&T they stared at it for 30 min before recommending a factory reset.
I didn;t want to but I didn't know what else to do.
Has anyone seen this, know what I did, or how to undo it?
It's fixed now I'm just wondering how it happened and how to undo it if I somehow do it again
Lol you just activated ultra power saving mode or emergency mode.

So how do you turn that off without factory wiping it, when it won't give you access settings or apps?
I thought Ultra savings mode too but couldn't turn it off because I didn't have access to settings

Emergency Mode Emergency
mode conserves your device’s remaining power when you are in an emergency situation. Emergency mode saves battery power by:
• Changing the color of the screen to grayscale.
• Restricting application usage to only essential applications and those you select.
• Turning off Mobile data when the screen is off.
• Turning off connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ® .
Note: When Emergency mode is turned off, the Location settings may stay the same as they were in Emergency mode. Activate Emergency Mode To activate Emergency mode:
1. Press and hold the Power key to display the Device options window.
2. Tap Emergency mode > Turn on. • When accessing for the first time, read the Terms and conditions. If you accept them, tap the Checkbox, and then tap Agree. Confirm when prompted.
Turn Off Emergency Mode ?
From the Emergency mode Home screen, tap More > Turn off Emergency mode
This is what it was, but somehow I got the Google Now launcher while in emergency mode, so I didn't have the more option to turn it off.
Thanks I knew someone here would know

When you have either of the modes activated, there is a "more" button on the upper right of the screen (the actual screen area, not the notification). Press that and there should be a turn off option.
I enabled power saving mode when at work and bluetooth on when at home just to try the functionality.
It turns off when I turn off location completely but i dont want to do that.
But where do I turn all these based on location autosettings off? I can't find it in settings and its driving me crazy!
I solved it!
You disable automatical settings based on location via the edge panel with locations!
I'm having trouble finding the settings for Power Saving Mode on my S8 anymore. I might have disabled it with Package Disabler, but I disabled a ton of things, so I'm not sure which is relevant.
Anyone know which package works directly with Power Saving Mode?
Currently, if I try to hit the Power Saving Mode toggle in my notification drawer, it just says "turning off medium power saving mode" everytime I hit it. Here's a video to show what I mean: https://streamable.com/f7rlc
I also can't find any battery or power saving settings in the Settings App.
Hi,
I'm frequently switching power saving modes (between medium and off) because I've noticed data sync operations sometimes fail when in medium mode and I don't get notifications/data I need.
Unfortunately during power saving modes switching there appears some annoying, useless and time consuming splash screen telling what kind of optimizations are turned on/off and how much battery time is going to be saved. Also when switching to medium mode there is also annoying confirmation modal dialog. Basically I don't give a f*** about this information and I need no confirmations since I know what I do.
I'd prefer power saving modes switching to work like turning on/off flashlight or WiFi at home.
Anybody know how to achieve that without flashing ROM/rooting? Currently using Android 7.0.
Thanks.
