Hey everyone,
I came across this thread over on the OPO forums that enables the 'Hey Snapdragon' feature similar to a Moto X or Nexus 6/9. The OPO and Moto X both use the same Snapdragon 801 SoC with Hexagon DSP which should support always on voice recognition, but isn't present on our phones for some reason.
Anyway, I don't know if it can be ported but I guess someone more knowledgable than me might want to give it a try!
The kernel commits listed are:

And the option needs to be enabled in the setting page like here.

Looking for someone who is hands-on with Spirit (The great work by Mike) and can support to run it on moto g 3rd gen.
Please reply/ PM me..
IIRC, the moto g series already has a stellar FM app with ability to work without headphones and record to file. Spirit should work out of the box as long as you have root.
Hi ethanchow,
Thank you for the reply.

Hello everyone,
I have a pretty big question and its directly to those hard working developers that work hard to enhance the android experience. I am aware that the Moto G5 Plus has the Wifi Calling feature enabled with T-Mobile. I'm baffled as to why Moto & T-Mobile can't work together to enable this feature for all Motorola phones. It's not even a question of "cant" but they won't. Anyways I was wondering if there was another way around this. Will it ever be possible for developers to access these OS hooks for Wifi Calling and incorporate it into roms for the Moto Z play? The Moto G plus and Moto Z play have identical hardware and software. Any information would be kindly appreciated!
How do I increase the signal strength of my WiFi in the g5 Plus? I have root .. Is there any way? At 2.4ghz it only connects to 72mb and in 5ghz it only goes up to 150mb. Can it increase? Can you help me?
Hey guys, I have a very specific question that I was hoping someone here would know the answer to, and have some advice for.
I bought a Verizon Motorola E4 from Walmart for the sole purpose of being a secondary device to play Pokemon Go.
It actually plays quite well - very adequate performance, plus remarkable battery life.
However, there is one major problem, and that is the Bluetooth functionality seems to be completely broken.
Because of this, it's impossible to connect a Pokemon Go Plus to the phone.
I'm a new user, so I'm unable to post a link, but there are many threads about this on the official Lenovo forum.
If you Google "motorola e4 pokemon go plus", the top link should be one of them.
After many months, Lenovo has done absolutely nothing to address the issue.
So now I'm here to ask whether there might be any alternative options.
Would flashing a third party ROM potentially fix the Bluetooth issues?
Does anyone here play Pokemon Go on a Motorola E4 on a third party ROM?
Does anyone here play Pokemon Go on a Motorola E4 with a Pokemon Go Plus on a third party ROM?
Thanks in advance!

No custom ROMs for this pup (XT1767) as device/rom can not be rooted or unlocked.

Also, it looks like Pokemon go plus isn't just Bluetooth, it's BLE (Bluetooth low energy). Very different. Don't think this device is capable. It also doesn't have NFC.
This phone's Bluetooth is not broken at all, you're just trying to use a feature it doesn't have.
Thanks for the replies... appreciate it.

This was certainly interesting, as I knew nothing about BLE.
However, it seems like the Motorola E4 should have LE though?
It's listed on the gsmarena page on both the regular and USA versions.
I guess this would take me by surprise as even much older phones like a Samsung Note 2 is capable of pairing with a Pokemon Go Plus.

It has Bluetooth 4.0 which actually should be capable of BLE, so I may have been wrong. I know for sure it doesn't have NFC, so maybe the Pokemon go plus uses that as well as BLE.
Because the e4 has good Bluetooth function for everything I've thrown at it.
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to find which particular accelerometer the Wear24 uses. I'm needing this information because I'm considering doing some driver hacking to do something similar to the Viband (Google it, I can't post links yet). If the sensor is an InvenSense MPU, it should be relatively straightforward (their source code is on Github). If y'all are wondering why I picked the Wear24 and not the LG G Watch that the Viband devs used, it's cause I'm cheap, I hated the look of the G Watch, and I want to be able to also use it as a general purpose watch with a little bit of added fun... And I didn't know about this until after I had bought my Wear24
