Hi everyone...
I have an awkward issue here with my Nexus 4...
It is in an eternal loop in bootlogo 5.1.1
I already did anything I found in Google search
Flashed ALL firmwares stock, tried some Cyanogenmod and nothing!
I already used simple .bat/.sh in stock folder, used Nexus Toolkit with bricked/bootloop ticked, SkipSoft Tookit and even a tutorial saying to use LGNPST to flash a developer version... this last one worked... but like said in tutorial, the rom is encrypted and the user can do nothing! After that, flashed stock rom and still got stucked in logo!
I did not say, but yes.. I always run ALL wipes
I do not know what else I can do! The phone seems to work normally. I can entry,
download mode, fastboot, recovery but system..
Any ideas?
Thanks for now and sorry about english!
Are you flashing the userdata.img file?
yes and no!
The same result... =/
After flashing userdata.img in fastboot, are you going into recovery using the power and volume buttons to perform a factory wipe?
yes... I already did that too!
Today in the morning, I installed a developer version 4.2 through LGNPST... The phone worked, but it is a old version, I want the last one 5.1.1 and I got the problem that internal memory shows 8GB instead of 16GB...
And I could not resolv this, even reading tutorials from xda forum
If anyone could give me a BIN file of 5.1.1 to use in LGNPST...
no one???
I'm facing the exact same issue, here my post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/nexus-4-stuck-animation-android-t3419997
Did u solved it?
No man...
unfortunately I ditched the device!
I've installed Android 4.2.2 and block OTA updates rooting the device, the problem is internally in the device, maybe is a hardware problem, I already made a test of the sensors and none works, for know I'm gonna use it just for phone calls and wapp...
thanks for answer....

Hello Guys,
yesterday I restarted my Nexus 4, running the cm-13.0-20160520-NIGHTLY-mako. It stuck at the bootlogo, so I tried to reflash it in the twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery. But I got the error message "E:/ unable to mount /cache".
After that I was trying to solve this issue by wiping the cache, but I got the same error message -> The phone wasn't booting
From now on I did several things to solve my problem. I don't know the exact order.
- I've downloaded the Nexus Root Toolkit from WugFresh -> Tried to use the Flash Stock + Unroot Option with Soft-Bricked/Bootloop status enabled -> I choosed the 5.1.1 Factory Image -> In the cmd window, I get in every point the same error message "Falied (remote: flash write failure) -> I get the same message when I'm trying to manually flash each part of the factory image via fastboot
- Within the Toolkit I also tried to format cache, system and Userdata, but afther this I get the same error when trying to do the step before
- I think also used the Fastboot Flash options, but I'm not sure.
- After that I attempted to flash the cm13.zip via adb-sideload in TWRP. Here is a part from the error message I get:
"(...) could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system, assuming ext4
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system at /system: Invalid argument
unmount of /system failed: no such volume (...)
E: Error executing updater binary in zip 'sideload/package.zip'
E: Unable to mount '/data'
- In TWRP the Internal Storage is shown with 0mb
- Currently only the bootloader is working fine and I also can get a fastboot and adb connection to the phone
-> Loading the recovery is only possible by booting a recovery image in fastboot
Can somebody tell me if it is possible to restore my Nexus 4 and how to do it?
Thank you in advance :fingers-crossed:
PS: I hope I mentioned all the important points. If some information is missing, feel free to ask me.
Did you try to manually flash the latest rom?
Did you try to flash a stock 4.2 rom?
Tried different USB cables and USB ports?

Thank you for your answer.
I tried to flash the newest cm13 in TWRP and with adb Sideload. I get the same error.
Also the 4.2 Stock rom doesn't work. Same problem as with the 5.1.1 factory image.
I also switched the cable and the USB ports, but it leads to the same error messages.
Try flashing the userdata.img file in fastboot. As soon as userdata finishes flashing, use the buttons to boot into recovery and perform a factory wipe. User the usedata.img file included with the stock ROM you flashed.
From what I see, your partitions got completely messed up. I reckon if it's fixable at all (assuming your chip ain't dead), the only thing that can fix it is fully reflashing everything via emergency mode. Now I can't seem to find the exact link, but I do know there was a thread on xda with instructions and everything. I'll keep digging around to see if I can find anything and then I'll link it here.

In Meanwhile I also think that my partitions are messed up. I saw one thread that could help me (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/tutorial-how-to-unbrick-n4-t2347060), but some of the links are down.
Thank you for your help. :good:
Does the bootloader remain unlocked after rebooting? The emmc chip could be messed up and need replacement.

Unfortunately yes. After locking the bootloader via fastboot, the bootloader is marked as unlocked after rebooting.
Do I have to change the mainboard?
This confirms that the emmc chip is damaged and can only be fixed via a motherboard swap.
I had similar problems with two nexus 5 phones where I would unlock the bootloader but would always relock on reboot.

Ok. Doesn't sound very good.
Nevertheless I will try the method of nerotNS, if he finds the thread.

Aye that's the thread I've been talking about. And yeah, the links are down for quite a while, I reckon the OP doesn't maintain it anymore. Anyways I used the tool once, I found all the files by Googling for like 4 hours or so - the most difficult one being the .dll file and getting the program itself to run. I'd upload them to you but there were on my C disk on my main rig and that got wiped when I reinstalled Windows :S I'm sure the files are on the net even now tho, I remember getting the .dll file from some Chinese website, Chrome's translator gave me enough info to actually download the file. Once I got it up and running the flash was OK, I've tested the method from that thread myself, the only problem is getting the files from the links that are down. I wish you good luck in your search for them, I know what an awful feeling it is for your nexus to die, my mako is still my daily driver, still kickin' ass

I did however have to change the motherboard out, since, while the flash was ok, the chip was not, so it didn't help much. I had an issue with my /data partition where it was completely gone, and the while filesystem got messed up, the only thing I could boot to was bootloader and even that only while on charger. Eventually I swapped my motherboard with a friends who didn't need her nexus 4 anymore and now it's ok. I suggest you first attempt the method from that link and if that fails, then you should resort to getting a new motherboard, but imo only if you can get it either dirt cheap or in a way like I did. Caching out around 100$ for a new nexus 4 mb, with phones like nexus 5X 32Gb costing 300$ is not a good investment if you ask me.

I found all the necessary files for doing the method subscribed in the thread, but afther flashing the firmware nothing changed. Only thing that worked was the bootloader, everthing else still wasn't working.
Fortunately I had a broken Nexus 4 from a friend. So I switched both mainboards and my Phone is working again
Thank you for your help.

HI
Can you please send a photo? I could help you better :highfive:
hello there, I am having a problem with my Huawei P8 Lite, few months ago I Unlocked it booloader, Installed Twrp Recovery, Root it and then Upgrade it to
Marshmallow Stock ROM, EMUI 4.0, Build No. ALE-AL21C185B188, I am sure it was Offical Build,
When I bought it Box Packed, it was on Lollipop stock ROM, EMUI 3.0, Build No. ALE-AL21C185B188. On Marshmallow it was running smoothly, I did change the BootImage or Animation, but it was lacking some features, like Camera Fuzzy and no guest mode or so, then i installed Xposed to get more Features, and I guess then Substrance theme, there it got problem, so tried to reinstalled the ROM again after totally wiping. I just reboot it once I guess after flashing the ROM it just turns on show Boot Image, no further booting, just stuck at the screen, I tried again and again wiped it flashed it. But no Use, fortunately I boots into Twrp Recovery and Fastboot mode also, so I am sure there is absulotely a way to get it worked. But obviously I m not the engineer so I am calling u Guys to Plz help me Out. I tried whatever I could understand, I tried to get help from my local fone mechanics but they also just couldn't figured it out, as they are casual android dudes, not got intact with EMUI's. I would be very thankful if Anyone of uguys help me sort my problem, will b waiting for urs advisory and informative response.

You know that you have to type 'fastboot devices' when you are in fastboot?
Hi all,
I always upgraded Factory Images (with fastboot)... always with a unlocked oem and rooted....
Some days ago I upgraded to last FI 8.1 and rooted with SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip
I worked flawless... this morning I was driving (connected with my auto BT) and suddenly my N6P got stuck...
power button for some seconds for hard reboot....
and then bootloop...
Arrived home I tried to flash again last FI... and also the previous one... I tried also to erase userdata... always Bootloop...
any other idea? is it recoverable?
Thank you in advance guys
Davide
I read different topics on this forum but it's not clear to me how it's possible that this happened several days after the upgrade...

I think it's probably just coincidence that it happened while on 8.1. It's huge issue that has plagued so many people. It's something to do with the large cores luckily there is a fix but you need your bootloader to be unlocked. You can find out more here.
I'll go to read your link... the strange thing, imho, is that I can't even run twrp recovery (stock neither)
anyway thank you

The fix disables part of the CPU, so with it being a hardware issue you will always have the issue on anything you run if it tries to use it (which stock will).
Wow I've seen alot of people with this issue, I have my 128gb still and don't have any issues
I'm back...
I tried following steps:
- flash stock angler-opr6.170623.019 image
- flash Oreo4Cores boot.img file
- flash twrp3_1_1_4Cores.img file
tried to run recovery -> BLOD
tried to start normally -> BLOD
Same problem.
Do you find some solution? Thanks.
Hi
When I wipe devik, data, cache and system partition using TWRP and reboot, the phone take forever to boot it stuck in LG logo. I don't understand why it stuck when I wipe those partitions. I've tried combination keys to boot in TWRP recovery but it doesn't work. Now I'm stuck. I don't know what to do. My phone is LG G3 (F460L) Android 4.4.2. Please see the photo.
EDIT: I didn't read the system partition thing before answering below... If I'm not completely wrong, your phone can't boot, because there is no system which could be loaded, so your phone is more or less empty, when you wiped the system partition. No more Android 4.4.2 :/ I don't know, why booting into TWRP doesn't work. Maybe you carefully could try to unbrick your phone and reinstall stock rom again.
Hej,
have you ever had booting problems with your phone? I'm in constant bootloop trouble with my D855. Some say it's a battery issue, which I can not confirm since I've tried 4 different ones (including 2 brand new ones). Some others say my mainboard has kind of an unrepairable defect. As I go with this possible explanation, I ordered a new used mainboard from China, hoping for it to arrive in Europe and not beeing fished by the authorities...
I can't say for sure what is the exact issue with my or your phone, the only thing I can tell is that there are tons of posts that can be found on the internet about the G3 having bootloop issues after a couple of years of normal usage. And for most users this came all of a sudden. Believe me, I've invested days of research, uncounted attempts of unbricking my phone (I thought I bricked it somehow, but it wasn't the case) and flashed stock rom and LOS as hard as I could. All ended up in my phone not running stable, crashing and then bootlooping. Sometimes (most of the times) if it's shut down and I want to turn it on, it gets stuck on the LG boot splash screen. It seems that somehow the energy management is not capable of running the phone stable under low voltage, since at least for me the probability of successfull boots slightly rises with a higher state of charge. But I can't take it for granted...
Good luck for you, I will keep reading this thread.
I wipe System Partition which contains Kitkat 4.4.2 but I already flash new ROM (CM13 Unofficial f460) after. There should be CM13 in system partition. I don't know why it can't boot. On the other hand, I can't find official firmware 4.4.2 for F460L (3hours search still no luck). I found only official firmware 6 Marshmallow which I'm afraid I won't be able to root forever if I flash it. I'm really appreciated if you can find one somewhere.

Thanks. I found official firmware lollipop and flash it. I've been searching for a way to root it but most of the method is for D855. Do you know if F460L Lollipop is rootable?

You can use the search function within the forums or search engines like startpage. I don't actually own a F460L and I'm not an expert either, so I don't know, how it works exactly. Punchin the keywords "F460L Lollipop root" into startpage.com brought me the following link as first result:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-everything-lg-g3-cat-6-f460s-t3542542
Just follow the guide in OPs post
I already try LG One Click Root. It doesn't work. When it reach 45% (Looking for LG Serial Port), the phone restart (normal reboot) and it stay at 45% definitely. I manually reboot to Download Mode, still, 45%. Any suggestion?

Sorry, as I'm on a D855, I don't really know. I rooted via King Root which only works with a specific Android version. I used this guide which helped me a lot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VOgM3jLas4
It's for the D855 but it could work with the F460 too. In the video description, there is a download link to the specific stock rom version for F400 models. The guide tells you where and what to download and how to install. You could try this and I'll keep reading Good Luck!
So, I've installed a custom rom for this phone so I could use it as my test phone but it ended with my sister. Some days ago my sister asked me to reinstall the stock rom so I was going to do it. I downloaded official stock of its model but I could not because the recovery wasn't recognizing it. I tried a lot searching for 7 days after the it but I couldn't find it. Yet today I tried it anyway with a z00l recovery (worst thing I made) and installed a z00l stock. I was happy cus I was thinking I finally found it but when it boot up it was like that boot logo mirrored, like if it wasn't on the correct resolution and was trying to fit the whole screen. After that I thought "Well, if I find the stock recovery and boot img and finally flash the stock, this will dissapear, right?" and now I'm here stuck with this dumb mistake I've made. Also, I was trying to install "UL-Z00T-WW-1 16 40 1524-user" but because of the wrong recovery it said it isn't Z00T, it was Z00L, so I installed "UL-Z00L-WW-21.40.1220.1698-user" and it got like this. The whole thing is with this weird resolution bug. I'm really sorry if something is hard to understand, I don't know yet how to speak english so well.
worst case scenario, you should be able to access fastboot and install twrp.
just install the correct twrp and use this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/all-variants-restore-back-to-stock-firmware.3333482/
