Hey guys. I have a problem.
My battery is charging very slow. For example from the original charger now when i use the phone and charge it it doesnt even charge more, in the past i played gaqmes on the phone and it still charge very fast.
When i charge from the external battery the battery only charge even slower, dont even charge if i use the phone..
Reflashing the ROM I used in these moments always helped me.

that doesn't have only one thing... Can be the System that isn't responding very well to current charging.
Can be the circuit that isn't working properly. can be the battery that is defected...
First i would flash a system that i know that works very well. If that fail. switch battery.
If that fail only changing the power circuit integrated or chaning motherboard.
Solved. The usb cable was the problem

Today I had pluged my usb cable in my cell and when I unplug the cable my battery was 30% charged but as soon I unplug the usb cable i got battery low warning and suddenly my cell shutdown. When I start the cell it shows -1% battery and now if I chrage the battery from charger it wont showing charging (animated charging bar) but its actualy charging it very slowly but now if I again plug usb cable and unplug it the cell again shutdown instantly.
I have tried different pcs and cable but the problem still there. Should I hard reset it? I dont install new software or change any settings durring the day.
If there isn't any important data on the phone, yes , you can try the Hard reset, but most probably the cause for not charging, is something else and not the rom (OS),so Hard reseting will not boost up the charging. If the device is not charging ,its rather more of a Hardware issue than a Software. Try to charge with a Wall charger (Mains),if it charges normally, then the fault lies in the usb cable,it might be faulty or try with other usb input port on the pc,but if it still doesn't charge with the Wall charger, than most probably the mini usb port of the phone is faulty or damaged or it might be that the battery is giving upon you.Confirm and check all these options.
I have already tried the external (home) charger and different usb cable and pc.
I cant hardreset as the battery is lower then 50% charged.
Just for your knowledge that the active sync is working fine and ithink mini usb port is not totaly dead,
And the orange light on top is keep blinking when I have plugeed usb cable.
And battery status show +21mA and +68mW only. What it should be?
BTW battery status icon bar keep animating while I have pluged usb cable. does it mean its charging.
Also let you know that this morning my battery last to below 10% charged and after that the problem starts.
And after pluging usb cable for few minutes if i do softreset then after reboot the system shows few % battery charged ( around 10%) but its drains very fast (in 2-5 minutes).

Ah !
So it has gone below the retention charge, required to start the charging circuit ,thats why its not charging.
Now either try to charge with a wall charger capable of out put of 1.0 amp or you need to 'Jump' start the battery.
i dont understand can you explain it a bit more.
This it what he's trying to say:
The battery has a well-documented bug. If you drain it below a certain amount (around 5% IIRC) then it can ONLY be charged from a wall charger, regardless what else the phone says or does. Your symptoms are weirder than usual, but not too surprising.
Replacement batteries are cheap and readily available. Start shopping for a new one while you leave the phone on the wall charger for at least 6 hours, with the phone OFF. This is a last-ditch attempt to recover your battery. If it still misbehaves after that, it's probably toast.
Thanks for explanation.
does the usb cable hack work (connect the red and black cables to battery + and -)?

YUP !
Thats what is 'Jump' start. If the battery is only below the retention charge,it can be very easily recouped by this trick. If it works fine, otherwise get a new battery, many have recovered their batteries by Jump start.
Check out this link :-

thanks for the link.
OK jump start do the trick (charged the battery) but my phone is still draining the battery very quickly (around 1% a minute) and I havent check the home charger or usb cable charging.

ok,good if it has started to charge, now don't ever let it fall below atleast 30%,how did you charged it if not through home charger or usb cable, get the battery fully cgarged with home mains charger and then check the drainage of the battery.
Secondly, either the battery cells have gone weak and not retaining the charge for long or you are using GPRS more often, coz it drains the battery quite rapidly.it all depends on your usage.
I just charged the battery from naked usb cable and it charged it but the battery drainage problem still presist and if I charge the battery from usb or charger the os dosent shows it charging. I think i should look for new battery.
Can you explain me what kind of battery should i choose for wizard as here too many local batteries are available and I dont know about correct specs for battery like mah, mwh, volt, etc and kindly also let me know I also doubt on my home charger what kind of charger should I get (mah, mwh, volt, amp)?
BTW I dont fully charge (100%) the battery yet, do i still need a one full charge and I also dont shock the battery by 1amp charger aswell.

Yes ! you must first fully charge the battery and than check the drainage.
Secondly I can't recommend any specific battery, check the specifications on the battery and verify it.
If the home charger is doubtful, you shud get an original PDA phone charger capable of 1.00 amp out put.
ok I also don't able to installnew rom on it, its giving me erorr that phone is not connected to usb cable etc.
Now the active sync is not bieng connecting too and I think now my mini usb port is faulty is it repairable?

Yes it is repairable or replaceable for that you'll have to contact the cellular company from whom you bought the phone,if its still under warranty. Otherwise get it repaired from any mobile repair shop.
ok may I know from where you belong?

Don't you see my country flag on my posts and my city of residence is also mentioned there
hmm I see.
Hi
i'm having a problem.
My phone was connected to the charger when i restarted it. Batter was at 77% and charging... after restargin, it showed my battery charge as 100% and the charging light was green/yellow!!! so is there a calibration problem? What do i do otherwise?
It's normal...
It happens to me also... I think it's the problem with the battery software module. Sometimes because of over charging, the battery gets sooo hot...
just in case get ya battery checked
try this.
Hi,
Even i was getting the same problem. While connected to charger it was showing 100%v fully charged but as i removed the charger, the battery went Red. I thought its a problem with the battery.
But it was the problem with the charger. I charge my cell using Data cable through my computer, and its working very very fine like before. I dont want to waste money on buying a new charger
Thanx,
Sandeep.

Its perfectly normal . Just remove the charger, use the device for a few mins and then recharge.
Xperia wont charge to 100% - gets stuck at 90 %
any ideas whats going on?
its been charging all night at 90% :S
are you charging via usb to pc, or usb to floor charger?
i hope battery not been extremely discharged before....
USB - but i've just done 2 restarts and 3 soft resets and its gone up to 100% now - really odd problem - lucjy its fixed - phew
if you can't get it to 100% charge while charging with the floor charger..
you might have already discharged it too greatly.
90% might be your new maximum, unless it's the phone's problem.
EDIT: Ah I see, that's good then! I usually charge it with the floor charger since it's faster than a pc-usb charge =]
Good news then~
If you have a laptop and you're trying to charge you're phone thru the USB port...you'll wait A LONG LONG time...
I only use the floor charger...
i think by doing a soft reset, you just recalibrated the battery settings. just a guess tho. sometimes battery charge, and indication gets out of sync and so you have to recalibrate them. as i said, dont know if this applies to the x1.
To recalibrate a battery you need to drain it to the last drop then charge it fully (i think preferably thru Wall charger) for several hours.. so the battery controller can detect which voltage range the battery is working on... normally i think when i charge thru usb it gives me power but i think it drops faster... than when on wall charger...
just don't drain it very often.. it makes your batt go bad... i read somewhere that once every three months is ok...
OK, first I admit, the battery is a POS. I usually have enough battery life to make it through a full day, but usually it will die in the evening before I go to bed and put it on charge.
Recently I got a message, "Charging current is not enough for device power consumption. Please connect your AC adapter." Strange thing, though, it WAS connected to my AC charger. I get the same message with both of my chargers.
Battery will not charge, but has just enough power to keep the phone running as long as there is charge already in the battery. So the battery is almost dead, I put it on the charger all night long, get up in the morning and take it off, and then it beeps extra low battery! and then dies shortly after.
The only way I can get it to work is to leave the phone powered off for a long period of time and charge it then. Doesn't always work though. works if I take out the battery and charge it all by itself on a USB phone battery charger.
Sounds like the problem is somewhere in the phone, not with the chargers. Why would both of them do the same thing?
Please help.
does it do the same thing when plugged in and charging via USB??
could be a bad battery...
from old phones i had previous to my magic it sometimes helped to clean the contacts on the battery and charging pins on the phone..
I'll check that...
BTW, if I am plugged into an AC adapter, is it supposed to stay on even if I remove the battery?
NOPE! same message. Been charging all day now and only shows just over half charge on the battery. Most of this is from the hour or so that I had the battery out and charging on its own.
I dont know what caused this to happen, because i havent flashed anything new on my phone or made any changes for like a week now, but today when i got home from school and plugged in my phone, a few seconds later i get the messaged telling me that it is fully charged, even though the battery on the status bar says it is at 20%. i tried wiping the battery stats in cwm but it didnt fix it.
Possibly dirty usb port/connector. Otherwise, turn the phone off to charge it. If it still doesn't charge right, it could be that the battery went bad.
oh lol i cant believe i didnt realize this. i just got a new keyboard and i had my phone charger plugged into the usb port that is on the back of they keyboard, i shouldve known it cant charge off of that i was being stupid hah. plugged it into the computer and it works fine.

The phone will say it is charged when you plug it into a USB port with too low of a current rating.
I do not know what the cutoff threshold is, however I have a variety of USB ports and adapters that I charge my phone off of and some of them work great, but a couple of them have extremely low current ratings and the phone just says "charged" because it is not seeing enough power go into the battery.
This might be considered a bug, if there was a way for the hardware / charging drivers to measure the strength of the USB port the phone is attached to instead of solely looking at the current flowing into the battery.
Hrm. Weird that it would report charged when it doesn't get enough current to properly charge.
On a related note - I would also recommend doing a deep drain / charge cycle about once per month, to calibrate the battery charge sensor.
- Charge your phone to 100%.
- Then discharge it down to 0%.
- Then charge it back up to 100% via the OS.
- Turn the phone off, and keep it plugged in to the charger. A green battery icon will appear, and indicate when the battery is fully charged to 100%.
- Reboot the phone into recovery, and wipe battery stats.
Doing this about once per month for any Li-Ion battery will help calibrate the battery charge sensors on the device, giving you more accurate battery charge stats.
