Exodus can't find streams - Nexus Player Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As the title says: Exodus can't find streams on my Nexus Player. It finds plenty of links on my computer for the same TV show. The Nexus Player is on the latest official firmware. Already tried reinstalling Kodi. Can anybody help?

Just checked and it's working fine for me. Do you have the latest Kodi 16.1 and Exodus update 1.3.2?

Yes, installed the latest version. It didn't work for whatever reason. I deinstalled Kodi reinstalled it. Did this 3 times. Then I only deleted Exodus, reinstalled it. Still didn't work. Just one hour ago I simply installed Exodus on top of the existing installation. And funny thing: it suddenly started working. Now Exodus is showing me many links. So it's fixed (for now).
Thanks for the response!

What ROM are you using? YouTube should work with most of the ICS/CM9 Roms.
I am using the rom/CM9 from this link - is it too old? Where I can find the most stable version?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411895
I didn't have the Google Apps package installed, I downloaded the youtube app from the play store, is this the root cause?

Try updating to one of the newer roms (gedeROM, SGT7 rom, or Glazed)

Veeman is right, I can confirm it works with the roms he mentioned.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
downloaded gedeROM, reflashed the device, worked like a charm. Both youtube and chrome problems are fixed. I guess it's just a rom problem.
Thanks all

Just use the flashfox browser app from the market. Flash fox has it's own dedicated flash player.

Currently flashfox (and several other combo's) do not work with my 4.4 install, running as secondary on multirom, 4.3 = primary.
hopefully someone will resolve 4.4 issue in the near future.....

That's just odd. I still have yet to encounter an issue with it. I'll keep looking then.

if you’ve got a previous version of flash player installed on your device, you’ll need to uninstall it . Now follow theses steps to install flash manually on android 4.4 kitkit
Download Dolphin Jetpack from the Google Play Store. Dolphin Browser & Dolphin Jetpack
Next download the Flash Player which is a hacked version of Flash. Yo can find Hacked version here
Go to Settings > Securities > Unknown resources. This will let you install apks outside the Google Play i.e. unknown installations.
Make sure to first install any previous version of Flash before installing the hacked Flash Player for the compatibility.
In Dolphin Browser, go to Menu > Settings > Web Content > Flash Player to enable the flash setting in the browser.
I've done everything you've said, but flash still doesn't work when I'm trying to watch live broadcasts from vapeon TV. I keep getting a message that says I need to install flash player. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Apparently I didn't do everything you said! Lol. I didn't turn on the flash player in the Dolphin browser. Now everything works fine since I've turned it on. Thanks for the help!

I had the exact same issue...
I just installed latest Kodi ARM Android Nightly version and Navi-x seems to be working great now.
http kodi wiki/view/Google_Nexus_Player
Due to a problem in the x86 package of Kodi, we advice Nexus Player owners to install the ARM version. Once a proper fix has been found you can later on install the x86 version on top of the ARM one.
Yep, I get a lot of crashes, though it works 50% of the time, so I just keep trying the video I want to play and it eventually works.
I'll give arm a try, thanks for the heads up!

Try the newest x86 Kodi Helix v14 build. It's on the official Kodi download page now. I didn't have any trouble with Navi-X except for some odd font problems.

[Q] Netflix broken on 5.1.1 ?

Does anyone have the Netflix app working on their NP on 5.1.1 ?
Tried cleaning data/cache, reinstalling, rebooting etc.. Launching Netflix v. 2.2 build 636 on NP always fail:
Error : "This version of Netflix app is not compatible with your device (-102)."
Has 5.1.1 came to the NP over OTA yet !? Talked to Netflix support and they are asking to roll back since it's not supported..
I have the same problem
Netflix app 2.2.1 build 643 : Still the same problem
I still have the same problem too. Multiple wipes and reinstall but still error -102
For me it works but im on cyanogenmod 12.1 ROM (which is also 5.1.1 but better and also rooted on Its own)
I suggest installing this ROM you wont regret (with leanback gapps)
I am on cyanogenmod 12.1, the 6/25 nightly. I'll try the new nightly, what copy of leanback gapps are you using, maybe that is what is messing me and many others up somehow, I used the ones linked to in the cyanogenmod thread here.
It seems more people are unable to use netflix than are. If you have a working netflix on 5.1.1 or cm 12.1 5.1.1 please post what recovery you used to install your rom and what exact procedure you used to wipe before hand or anything else you can think of that could be the reason netflix could be giving this error to so many people. Thanks!
I have Netflix app working perfectly on CM 12.1 (Android 5.1)
Try this apk. It was the one preinstalled on my NP and works with stock 5.1.1

Thanks, tried your apk and still get the same error.. Looks like I gonna have to wipe/rollback or flash cyanogen to use Netflix..
Have you tried manually restarting your Nexus Player?
Sorry, I know this is a little old, but I just came across the same problem. Surprisingly just rebooting the device fixed everything.

[Fixed] Netflix crashes On YB1-X90F Nougat

Hello all! I own the Yoga Book (YB1-X90F) with all the latest updates. Two days ago the Netflix app, which was working fine, updated to version 7.1.0 build 16 31713 from Play Store. Since then the app force closes every time I open it, without showing me any image from the app (for example the login screen).
Any ideas?
Same here.
Any idea? Nothing evident in logcat...
Netflix is down
Same problem
Join the Beta and install the Beta version, no crush
So that means, when the stable channel releases its' version, the application should be operational again.
Netflix is broken for me as well. Does going to the beta version actually work?
Same here. Crushes anyway beta or not.
Yesterday the application updated to version 7.1.0 build 16 31713. It opened once, so I figured that everything was fixed... But it seems that it was an one time launch. Tokay I'm getting the same "force close" error. A friend of mine suggested downloading the beta version (he does not know which it is though), from the Aptoid store, which according to him, works.
With new update on Netflix, mine is working now.
I am not sure what the Beta version is, I did notice beta group at the bottom of the app listing in the play store, I signed up for it. Have not had a chance to try it yet. To be honest my hopes are not to high that is the solution. Will check back tonight.
I am now on Beta and the app updated to version 7.3 build 24. Seems to working again for me.
Since today (26/03/19), the application updated to stable version 7.2.1 build 8 34106 through the official Play Store and I can confirm that it's working fine.
P.S: It was about time
Do you guys still have this problem? Just got a new one - and netflix app just crashes when i try to stream, and when it try to download it shows an error about the device storage limit..

I just picked up a Yoga Book , running Android and has updated to Nougat.
Netflix opens then crashes with error 3.3. According to Netflix its a wi-fi problem. I can receive Netflix no probs on other devices.
I uninstalled Netflix and went looking for and older version. I found this version easily enough 6.25.0 build 010 31666
Downloaded the .apk installed and happy to say all working fine. Just had to stop auto updates from Netflix.
Definitely an issue with the latest Netflix build.

Glad my info helped!
Hopefully, Netflix won't break the app in the future (again)!
It worked for me, still running the Beta.
