Sorry in advance for the long post, hope you will read
I've been using my K3 note for some time now without any problem, but recently I noticed that the phone can't handle 3d games. it immediately crashes when trying to launch a game, but i also got a message once saying that "the device hardware is not supported" (while trying to launch subway surfers).
I can't really tell when this problem started since I didn't play at all, and I found out about that accidentally when trying to launch a new game. I'm positive though that when i got the phone it worked fine.
I ran a device control app, and found out the the GPU is virtually not working: it's on 0 Mhz, and it shows that the max and min frequencies are also 0, meaning it is basically not working.
I tried numerous ROMs and the problem persists.
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks and sorry again for the long post

Hi all,
Is there some kind of RAM test app (like memtest x86 for Windows/DOS) for the Note 3 / Android devices ?
Lately my Note 3 started to reboot out of the blue, many 'xxxx has stopped' errors.
I was still on 4.2 stock (root) so I decided to upgrade to an custom KK ROM.
The usual 5 mins to leave the phone alone was not enough, immediate freezes. It seemed that removing the battery and putting it back in fixes it for a few mins but then I get the same freeze.
Nothing responds and the area around the camera gets hot. So I tried the stock ROM and various other custom ROMS and recovery's. Nothing helped, exactly the same, freeze within minutes.
So I did a cpu stress test, that went fine CPU temperature was also normal, but still it felt hot around the camera. Bootloader was up to date.
So in the store they told me it could be the RAM. They also told me that they saw I tried an custom ROM and I lost my warranty. I reminded them of the non-conformity in Europe and they quickly changed their judgement.
They said 3 weeks at most before I get it back...
Now I've got an nice Nokia 206 Blue
But to get back at my question: Is there is any app to test the RAM? And has anyone else experienced these kind of problems?
stability test from play store may help you. also check check 3c toolbox, it does not have proper memory test, at least I didn't see one, but it has about 60, probably more, different utilities, like system and kernel logs, sd memory speed test, device recorder, cpu temp monitor etc.
if the area around camera is getting hot, maybe that's the problem? if the cores get stock at full speed, they would overheat, start thermal throttling and then errors would start showing up.
same problem
I have the same problem with my note 3 LTE, is there any solution?

Hi guys!
First off, long time lurker, I've been hitting up this site for XP stuff since 2012, only joined today to ask something to pretty well the only still active XP community out there. Forgive me for this post that is almost certainly in the wrong spot and the wrong thing entirely.
Anyways, I bought a new XP a couple of weeks ago and so far it's been great. Only thing is, a few games don't work as well as they did back in 2013/14 when I still used this phone as my mainer.
Namely, Age of Zombies and Modern Combat 4.
Age of Zombies lost support for the control pad way back when and I remember being so bummed about it, but anyway, the demo hasn't been patched in a couple years and should still work with it, right? All I want is survival mode after all and that's in there. So I download the lite version off the Play Store fine and then it gets a black screen when I start it, every time. Full game works fine (touch screen only obviously though) which is why it's weird. I did the same thing with Minecraft too, full version lost support for controls (which is ironic since it launched there, but whatever) and I went back to the demo version, but that works fine.
MC 4 on the other hand, I've deleted and reinstalled the game countless times now, deleted and reinstalled just the patch, moved to SD, moved back to phone, even tried a couple of pirate versions after a while and nothing. It just crashes every time I launch the game. It will show the Gameloft logo and then crash to the menu every time without fail. I've got MC 3 running on it fine though which makes it even more annoying.
Anyway, I'm running normal old 2.3.3 with absolutely zero mods done to it (I forgot this poor sucker is stuck with auto brightness and an inability to take screenshots) and everything else is running fine. Vice City runs a champ, ePSXe is going strong, MC 3 as I said earlier, and so on.
Neon Shadow also gets the black screen, but my memory was lying to me when it thought that game supported the XP gamepad anyways so I don't care, runs fine on my Nexus anyways.
Anyhoo, any and all help would be greatly appreciated and hopefully it is something like me being too stupid to turn on an obvious option or something. Thanks guys!
Hi there,
I did all necessary steps to make the app "Need For Speed VR" believe it is now running on "Sailfish", using my G928F.
Controller Emulator installed and working on a 2nd phone.
Just when I enter "Daydream" on the G928F, it works...for 1 second (the mountain scene), then the fps goes down to like 0,1 fps.
Pressing the powerbutton then, getting the blurry screen with the switch off option, emergecny call etc, moving around the G928F,
clearly shows a nice fluent movement in the Daydream app.
Going back to the app its 0,1 fps again, when trying to go back to the app.
I googled around a lot today and gave up.
Either the G928F is simply not enough to handle this "trick" or there are more performance boosts, that I havent discovered yet.
Any info is appreciated.
I know I'm late but to fix that, you freeze the Google VR service app. But DONT UNINSTALL IT
Almost everything in the title. I have an oneplus 8 pro 12gigas
Was playing atom RPG during 1h and a half maybe and received this message from Android system telling me to reduce brightness (which wasn't at the max actually) and telling me as well that some process gonna shut down...
Did you already experiment this kind of issue?
Is it normal ?
Thanks a lot
Cheers

Once. During a. Microsoft teams video call where I was recording the call via screen recorder. Not during a game so far
Tons of times. In many different contexts. First phone ever with which I get this message at least once a week. There isn't much you can do, except maybe removing your case when you play, and/or using a custom kernel which allows for lower clocks (or if you root your device and uses some apps to limits the clocks).
I've also seen this message, and taking the case off seems to help a little...
Thanks for the quick reply.
Have to say that I have a massive Spigen hard case but never experimented these kind of issues before with my other phones.
Anyway, I reduced a bit the brightness, saved my game and 2 min after, system told me that everything was ok...
Don't want to root my phone anymore. Was a big root/flasher in the past ? but don't have time anymore to play with my phone like that .
Will see what happens in the future.
I read also that some players experimented this issue playing atom RPG. Maybe it's the game dunno...
Hey every one! So I have a question that I havn't been able to find an answer too. This pertains to at least the two samsung devices that I have. One is the tab 8 sm-t290 and the other is the xcover pro that walmart started giving their employees. So the issue is a delay or lag in the screen tap after the devices come out of the lock screen or after they have sat there for a moment. It's like you wake it up and start taping and a couple of seconds later it will start registering all the taps or in game, I stop for a minute to read dialog and I have to tap couple times to get it going. At first I thought it was just because of the lower grade tablet but then I got the xcover pro from walmart (sposively a $500 phone a year ago) and it has the same issue.
So I assume this is by design? Is there a fix for it or a setting that I'm missing to make it snappier? The only thing I found that helped was after rooting the tablet I played with the governor and set the cpu frequency to max using termux. I installed a version of linage os that didnt have gapps installed and it was lightning fast, but when I installed one with gapps on it, I believe the issue was creeping back but I can't verify that at the moment. This is mostly just annoying and has caused me to quit using the devices in favor of more predictible ones. Any help would be appreciated!
