[Q] gap between screen and metal on the top of device

Guys, I've just noticed that there is a gap between screen and metal frame on the top of device. It is big enough to collect dust and to fit a paper in it.
I don't know if it was there or appeared later.
Could you check your device?
Just in case: I'm not talking about speaker by itself - I mean gaps between screen glass and metal frame at both sides from the speaker.
It's also there on mine, and my friends'. It does collect a lot of dust, especially under my case.
Any others comments?
That's the phone speaker. It's on every N4 out there. RTFM guys

I'm not catching this. As for the gap there's some dust between the glass and metal but I doubt I can fit paper into mine. Pics?

Samsung S7e plastic film

Hey guys!
Just received my s7e (europe) and I was wondering if there is any protective plastic film on the camera and/or on the flash & heart rate sensor?
I have removed the plastic film on the back but the camera & sensor was not covered so I wasn't exactly sure if the rest was protected. On pure sight, there doesn't appear to be any protective film but I am not 100% sure (maybe on the flash/heart rate sensor though).
If there is a film, what is the best way of removing it? With a toothpick, ...?
Anyway, thanks for feedback!
My S6 last year had a think film over the heart rate/flash and I used my nail to remove it, it actually scratched it. Its very soft plastic over that (assuming its the same).
At mine there was no film on the camera or heart rate sensor, just on the front and back glass.

Don't think so this year. However, word of caution, the plastic covering the heart rate sensor is easily phone to scratches (assuming it's anything like the plastic on the S6). I've had by S7E for about a week and I already noticed a scratch. Ugh...

The heart rate sensor in the Galaxy S6 scratched just by looking at it. Guess the S7 is the same.
I didn't notice any plastic film covering the camera lens.
I used a hammer to remove the plastic film on the heart rate sensor.
The screen is slightly shattered, but it is only noticeable if you look at it.
I recommend the use of a 9lb lump hammer, as a side benefit, it seemed to reduce the dimensions of my S7 Edge, making it easier to fit into my back pocket.
Can anyone suggest a good screen protector?
I have seen reports on that it actually has a plastic film. Mine has scratched already but I can't seem to be able to remove it.. If there is any to start with.. (I have the european version).
Mines scratched aswell. Hoping its a plastic cover thing.

I was also baffled why mine was scratching so easily, than closer look I realised that there's a thin protective film that's on it when new, this needs to be removed.

In mine there is no protective film.but the glass itself gets scratched.

Are u sure?i know coz in s6e there was.but in s7 i don't have
It is very hard to see, but mine had a protective film.. Once I removed it, glass is fine, no scratches. And more importantly, shots are clear.

So did u notice any scratches?
Mine has a little plastic film on the flash/HRM. Haven't bothered removing it as I'm terrified of any scratching. So far so good, no damage at all.

I don't have the protective film installed from the start
I don't think I have a plastic film on mine. Heart rate sensor is easily scratched and that's annoying..

It will get eventually. Coz there is no gorilla glass
I picked at the corner of my sensors for a solid 5 minutes. It felt like I was going to peel off the glass/plastic lens. Definitely didn't seem like there was any protective film, and if there was, they sure don't want it removed... T-Mobile variant here.

P9 Lite uneven screen with a tempered glass protector

Hi all, any one here having an issue with their tempered glass protector not fully adhering to their device?.. This https://youtu.be/iYmX8hXtXNI is what is happening to mine with a tempered glass protector on it... This is not a one off as I've put two different glass protectors on my device and they both do the same!.. Do you think I can send this back to either manufacturer/retailer for a replacement?..
Thanks for taking and replying ?

I had a similar problem several times in a few minutes I held squeezed with fingers on the screen and I think that helped. So far it is OK sometimes diverges but after 1-2 minutes holding is again stuck, we'll see how long
Afaik this is a common issue that is due to the fact that the edges of the screen are slightly rounded. Because of that, air gets between protector and screen.
Your best bet is to try another protector that is slightly smaller than the screen. Most P9 Lite protectors are designed so they do not cover 100% of the front because of this.

Or simply buy a 3mk glass protector. No bubbles at all.

Doesn't the p9 lite comes with a factory applied screenprotector? I've read it on some other forums

Yes but that is just a simple foil. Not comparable with the protection that a good tempered glass provides.
The factory foil is doing well for me, but it is slowly getting some air bubbles on the sides after 5 months of use.
Would a foil hold better than glass on this device?

I'm using spite glass protector... Wonderful!

The problem isn't the screen per see, it's the screws that hold everything in place.
If you remove the back cover and slightly unscrew the 2 screws by the usb port (or other parts like the top) you will make the screen flat and the protector will fit just fine.
I've done that to my phone and the tempered glass protector fits perfectly now.

Dude you are 100% right. And its simple 3 min fix. Just did mine and working excellent.
Thank you for that idea!
Just unscrewed 2 screws near USB port, and screen protector is 100% flat. No bubbles at all.

The only thing that needs attention is the nfc antenna, you need to be careful with it. Sometimes it stays stuck to the battery other times it gets stuck in the plastic housing and it is easy to tear it.
Another side effect of this "mod" is that the glass is under less stress and is less prone to cracking on drops.

Camera glass scratching

Does anyone have issues with the camera glass scratching?
Sent from my Mi MIX 2 using Tapatalk
nope , well protected by case
I do. When I bought the phone, during 2 days while waiting for a case the mobil was not covered by any kind of protection. I was very, very careful, beleive me, but then I saw some scratches on the camara glass... The scratches are thin and not seen easily, only from some angles but they are there.
