LTE Connection Issues - Rogers - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I've been having LTE issues with my phone basically every since I got it. Switching it to connect to 4G helps the issue in order to keep a constant connection, however with the LTE connected, it either doesn't connect at all (despite full bars) or is EXTREMELY slow for a moment and cuts out.
It worked perfectly for about the first week, then I started having issues like texts not sending or receiving (sometimes up to around 7) duplicates back. I've restored it multiple times to no avail. At one point, it worked flawlessly for about a month so I'm not convinced it's a hardware issue. I've never flashed anything else on the device and don't know how to safely.
I'm going out of my mind, any help us appreciated.

Bell Galaxy S2 On Telus Network - Network Drops Every 10 Min

Hey everyone,
Had the Galaxy S2 since Saturday, unlocked the device, everything was working great. Out of no where, yesterday the phone still shows the H+ logo and full signal, yet i cannot send, receive text messages, initiate a data connection or make/receive phone calls.
In order to get all that ability back, you either have to 1) reboot the device, or 2) turn airplane mode on then off.
This only works for roughly 10 minutes before it all happens all over again.
I tried swithing to WCDMA only, but issue still persists, even tried some menu codes I found on another thread to disable H+ but the same thing happens.
This is currently happening on the bell shipped rom with no root or anything of the sort.
Has anyone experienced this?
I've searched for hours but can only really find complaints of data connection loss only. In my case it's everything. Data / SMS / Cell
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I feel your pain, even though I have an XEU unlocked GS2, I've updated it with every update from kies hoping the issue would resolve.
Even with the latest KF3 update the issue persisted, however the phone could be used on Rogers with no issues, on Telus data drops constantly.
Disabling fast dormancy didn't do much to help.
However since updating the phone to KG3 2.3.4 yesterday I have not had the issue happen again. For the first time since I got the phone it no longer drops the data connection on Telus.

Thanks for the quick response. Was it only your data that disconnected, or everything else?
Also, may you please link me to the update? I suppose I could use that as a last ditch effort before exchanging the device before its too late.
My issue has changed over the past couple months, originally the phone would report that it dropped the network and when it came back data wouldn't work until airplane off then on or a reboot.
Lately things seemed fine with occasional data drops until yesterday, when it had full signal but I couldn't use data, sms or make a call. It was basically a paper weight until I updated it. The link to the file which has everything you need to update from samfirmware.com is below.

*edit - I'd make sure you have a back-up of your current firmware in case you need to flash back and return the phone.
I have the exact same problem. Bought a bell gs2 unlocked it and now with telus. My data dropped constantly and now I'm using the newest litening rom and now it only drops maybe once or twice a day so a huge improvement

If it's any consolation, I ran my Virgin SIM over the weekend (just to burn up the data I had to buy for a 1 month) and the same thing happened on stock firmware.
In my case, it would put me in "emergency calls only" mode, saying I wasn't authorized for the network (i.e. it wasn't recognizing my SIM). Tried the usual stuff (re-seating SIM, using the Telus SIM, reboots, cache wipes, network WCDMA/GSM selection etc), and nothing fixed it, it just seemed to come back on its own when it was good and damned ready no matter which SIM I used.
Flashed to "Frankenstein" KG3 on Sunday, and neither the Virgin or Telus SIM has lost network since then, in the same areas. WiFi seems to be working better too.

Upgraded 4G Xoom LTE Connectivity Issues

Greetings All,
Got my Xoom back from its 4G upgrade last week and I have been noticing some issues with connecting over the 3G/4G network now. I use pocketcloud to connect to computers over RDP and when connected over WiFi networks, it works fine (computers connected to networks other than one I am connected to WiFi on), but when using the 3G or 4G connection on the Xoom, there is a network connection error. I tried it out on my incredible and it works just fine. Also, sometimes I get an error "cannot update" from the engadget app.
Also, the new market would not install some of my apps, like ThinkFree Office for example, I worked around it by using the web interface of Android Market on my computer and it worked fine.
I sent in the Xoom completely reverted back to stock 3.1, I recieved it with 3.2.2 stock. I cleared memory after I got it back and did a factory data reset. Not rooted, and no other modifications have been made.
I'm at a loss as to why some connections are causing the network to flake out.
Regards.
I read on here that some of the app installation issues were due to the possible change in pixel density that took place with the upgrade but that is something you can change back if you root.
I'm noticing the same exact issue and have no idea what is causing it - let's see if together we can figure it out. It's extremely flaky so far.
I got my upgraded Xoom back today and noticed the exact same issue. It wouldn't activate on the setup screen and prompted me to reboot. After reboot, it connected to 4g just fine and showed the 4g icon below.
I then went into the market to install my apps. It installed Thumbkeyboard just fine but when I went to install others, it stopped at 8.03k on the download. Did this for every app i tried.
I turned on wifi, connected to my AP and the downloads worked just fine. Even tried a couple reboots before doing this and it didnt work.
My 4g signal is about 75% so it's strong.
Very strange...
Power off
Remove SIM.
Put SIM back in
Power on
Done. Worked for me.
I take it back, still having all kind of issues.
just got mine back this morning, and it wont connect to anything! no 3g, no 4g, no wifi... nothing. WTF!?!?! restarted, pulled sim, etc...
going to do restore next and see what that does.
Same connection problems
Got my LTE upgrade back.
When I am at work I cannot update Touchdown from inside the firewall (not sure why) so I flip back to Verizon to refresh by shutting down the wifi. When I do, I noticed that the xoom would drop the connection (three bars) and then not reconnect. When I try to turn on the wifi it stays grayed out and neither system will connect until I reboot.
Went around with VZW tech support, they reported that the unit was registering on their network but not connecting. Sent back to Moto for further testing, got the unit back (they reported it was a software fix, no other data) but the unit continues to have the problem.
Stock 3.2.2 xoom with LTE
Any suggestions appreciated....
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?
Hello, I am still having all kinds of connection issues after I received my device from Motorola. After a reboot the xoom will connect to the Verizon network but If it stays idle for some time, I lose the connection and it will not connect until I reboot the device.
sent it for replacement
I had the same problem. I had to send it back once for 'repair' (no improvement) before Motorola replaced the unit due to an undefined hardware problem. Keep calling or go to a store.
I had something similar when I got my Xoom back. Apparently the geniuses at Verizon never added the SIM to my account. Took multiple calls/emails to get it corrected. Once someone realized it was missing it was corrected in about 10 minutes.

In your case did you have sporadic connection or, without the SIM number, were you completely unable to connect?
BTW, I missed this thread when it was fresh (as I was traveling) but I've had the exact same issues since the LTE upgrade. When it happens, the only way to reconnect is to reboot.
I used to be able to get it to reconnect by switching airplane mode on and off. Sometimes I had to reboot. Friday, even that did not help. I was furious. The next day, the update pushed out to me via wifi. I guess the servers recognized me as a customer again even though I already had a 2 year contract. Some people got the dataplan because they don't use wifi. I love the shortsightedness of the people who come up with this... not.
At least I haven't gotten disconnected since the patch was installed.

I had to unroot my device for 4G to start working normal.

I9020A 2.3.6 Wifi issues

So I have an interesting situation. I am currently working and living in a place in BC/Alaska with no cellular service. I have been using my nexus s as a wifi only device which has worked Flawlessly until the 2.3.6 update. Now I find that every few minutes it will drop the wifi connection but still be connected to the access point. I have to cycle the phones wifi settings to get the connection back and thus I recieve all my messages at once.
This is higly frustrating. Anyone have any ideas as to why this can be? I have troubleshooted this problem for over a week now. I have two wifi networks that I can access, one on channel 1 one on channel 6, both have g,n support and decent signal. There is nothing elese that can be interupting or interfering.
And before someone says to reflash, I have whatsapp which requires sms verification and seeing as how there is no cell towers I`d need to figure out how to get around that before flashing.
On a side note is there any way to disable the cellular functions other than pulling the sim card? I am not aware if it still makes an attempt to find signal or not but if it does I am sure that must be at the expense of the battery.
EDIT: I have turned off the wifi sleep policy ovbiously and here are a few more details;
baseband: I9020AUCKF1
kernel version: 2.6.35.7-gf5f63ef
Build number: GRK39F

Thats what I usually do. Ive resorted to using my galaxy tab almost exclusively as my nexus s is now at a blackberry level of frustrating to use. Could it be a bad radio flash? Actually does the radio also deal with wifi traffic or just gsm?
I just reflashed my phone to the exact same ROM as what you've outlined from here and wifi works brilliantly
Do a complete wipe and it should be right, you will lose root though.

Ugh thats what I did originally. Oh well will do again I guess. Any ideas how to keep my whatsapp so I dont have to do the sms verification? I really cant loose that but at the same time I can barely use it now.

[Q] Recieve only some messages after modem update

Hey guys,
I've had troubles with the disconnected SIM card reboot issue for a while, but it just came back hard, so I figured I may as well try upgrading the modem.
I upgraded to the newest rogers modem (I337MVKUFNI2) and I am having issues where I only recieve certain texts, but have LTE and can send them fine. When I go into about settings my mobile network state is "disconnected" and sometimes goes back to connected even though I seem to have reception. Now, I think I probably was also not recieving texts for the past ~2 days. I'm currently on 4.4.4 SlimKat.
Anyone experience something similar? Really not sure what to do to fix this.
Thanks
edit- Also, is there a chance this is hardware related?

T-Mobile Rollcall

Hey everyone! As the title states, this is a thread for T-mobile users. Lately with T-Mo upgrading their towers to 4G I've been coming into a few issues. The gist of it is that I randomly can't make or receive calls on my Nexus 4, and after some research online I discovered that I'm not the only one with this problem (This is especially true with Lollipop users). I tried the 4G hack with multiple radios, after resetting my APN settings I can make and get calls for about 2 minutes, and after that my problem comes back as if I never did anything at all. I've noticed that I can get it to work after resetting the APN to default, but I can't be expected to do that every 5 minutes throughout the day, its simply unacceptable. What's worse is that I recently got into a contract with T-Mo after being prepaid for the last year and a half.
So my question to all the T-Mo users here is what ROM are you using? Which radios do you use (if you've had to)? Are you using 5.x.x or 4.x.x? Have you had encountered this problem at all, and if so how did you remedy it?
Update: I fixing my problems by flashing a 5.1.x ROM. Although I nearly bricked the phone because the gapps provided weren't written properly which caused the setup wizard to crash.
