but you can download Fxfile manager , enter memory card, click menu , and choose write access and ...
now you have full access to your memory card.

Hi, i am a new user for android OS. And one day i wants to install some apps in SD card, but doesnt now what to do first. i try to do something myself, but only thing that i do is split the SD card memory, and now some space from my sd card memory is not avaiable. Can so9meone can say what to do first... to install some apps in SD and install some unofficial 2.1 android version on tattoo.
P.S. - I am latvian and not know the English language perfectly, so maybe that is the reason because i dont understand what to do first...

im new too this is what i did
1.went to 4 shared and searched for .apk (files on the tatoo are .apk)got a posting with all of them too what i wanted ie document reader whcih is word XL PDf and note pad put them on my sd card and used the android installer ie i connected the phone to my pc used the android sync which has the android installer used the same to install the aps and stalled these apps i wanted on my Phone
i hope this helps u
u can also use the market programs on ur phone and brows using ur phone data connection and directly install what u want on ur phone

that doesnt help, i have a lot of apps already, but phone memory is too small for all apps and i need install some apps on sd card

Download AppMonster or Astro from the market. These will allow you to copy apks to your SD card. But note, you can't run apps from your SD card, you can only swap them in and out of memory.

Only with a script called apps2sd, but noone ever implemented it for tattoo...or at least AFAIK...

my phone is HD2 I removed the windows system and it's working now with android 2.2.1
but I have problem in the storage
I can't do any thing in the phone I cant read or send msg I cant take photo I cantt install application the only thing that I can do is making call !!
the internal memory is totall full but the external memory is not!!
so I tried to move the application from the internal memory to the SD CARD but I cant do this
I tried to uninstal some of application but I can't do this also
I downloaded some applications help me delet or move of application I downloaded it from the internet and I put it in the sd card but I can't open the sd card in the phon !! I dont have the astro !!!
so I erase all the data on the phone and make hard reset for it !!
but still have the problem
the available space in the internal memory is 0 !! >> I cant believe that but this wat my phone says
I don't know wat to do with this problem !!
any one can help me ?!
If you have already wiped data and still have problem you need to install a different rom. Sounds like a bug.

What Android build are your using(i.e. Pongster Hyperdroid, TyphooN CyanogenMod )? Is your Android boot from SDcard or NAND?
how too remove Partition on my x2 , i was use my card on htc touch hd 2 then i trade for this phone , but i can't make my sd card normal side i have only 5gb from 16gb , plz help , sry for my bad english

to Allows you manage your memory cards and partitions, use Storage Manager

just extract it and move files StorageManager.cab to the device, then you can click on the file to begin installation ( note: must be installed on phone memory in order to access and execute a memory card )

You must download a sd card rom and place the "Android" folder in the root of your sd card. In MAGLDR, you must go to services and set directory of androidsd. Choose the "Android" folder you placed when asked. Voila. Whenever you need to boot into GB from the sd card, power off your phone. turn it on while keeping the power button pressed. When loaded in MAGLDR, choose boot android sd. This is it

Just download the desired SD ROM, place it on the root of your SD card, boot into MAGLDR, go to Services>Boot Sources>AD SD Dir (at least I think this is the correct path, you should be able to figure it out logically anyway) and select the folder on which your ROM is. Then go to boot AD SD.
Please search before posting in the future.

I'm unable to grant access to external SD Card using ES File Explorer and Dropsync as external SD Card does not appear on the grant access file explorer. I have selected show SD and rename the external SD Card too and it does not work. Anyone facing the same problem and how to overcome this?

What are you trying exactly? Reading it? To write it you need root access. Do you have your phone rooted?

I don't think we have to root to obtain write access. In Android 5 (Lollipop) there is a new official way for apps to write to the external SD card whereby Apps must ask the user to grant write access to a folder on the SD card. They open a system folder chooser dialog. The user need to navigate into that specific folder and select it.
But in my case, the external SD does not shows when the system folder choose dialog box opens

Same here, so I needed root access. But you're right that's a bug on HTC stock rom base, file manager doesn't show it

Oh. It's a known bug then. Thanks.
However, I don't think rooting is a good idea as it will void my warranty. I have experienced this before. My HTC one M8 warranty claim was rejected due to rooting

Well, It doesn't work as it supposed to. Maybe worth filling a bug on HTC support site too, I haven't got to that yet

Same here , the granting was ok in the M9 , but after upgrading to M9+ ( or downgrading ) I face this problem , and no body in the Internet seems to solve it without root , waiting for the update , for sure it'll be solved in the marshmallows update , but when it will come , sure after the M8 ,and that's why I mention downgrading above , everything was OK in the M9 in term of performance , then they pushed out the M9+ to the market with some improvement ( the camera still ****ty without RAW support , the qhd is not a big deal , the fingerprint scanner is great, but the performance is bad , to be honest m it's bad even in the daily usage and no fast charging , which is supposed to be supported by the mediateck processor ) so it's another disappointment from HTC , , They had all the perfect elements but they didn't made the perfect device , I'm pretty sure that the M10 will be their last chance , let's wait and see
After all , not only HTC making a good build quality smartphone with premium design and awesome software, we can have a nexus now right .
