My device, Samsung galaxy y cannot boot to download mode. I cannot press the volume down button on my device because it is already broken. I used adb to boot into bootloader using 'adb reboot bootloader' command but my device just boots itself normally. My device can enter recovery mode but not download/bootloader mode. My device is alredy rooted. I cannot say if it is softbricked because i can access recovery mode. I cannot say too that my device is hard bricked because I can boot it normally. Any suggestions or help to fix my device? I really want to install custom ROM on it but it cant be possible without opening the bootloader. Thanks in advance for help.

lost my twrp after installing bootloader changer and then installing kk bootloader(for cloudy 3.3). (accidently marked install twrp inside the bootloader installation after already having the latest twrp installed)
phone restarts right after logo appears and seems to be unable to boot at all.
no download mode. no recovery. not even hardware factory reset is accessible.
im really lost here ! read all xda posts nothing works because i cant connect to
the phone from any pc. please help! i cant flash anything because i have no adb or any connection from the phone to the pc.
wont show up in device manager in any way(with the latest drivers installed) and wont show up on linux on /dev/sd*.
before the bootloader i had access to twrp and showed up just fine on my win 7.
problem solved!
was able to enter recovery mode by pressing pwr + vol-up release when logo appears and press vol-up + vol-down.
Hello guys, i'm having a problem, i had TWRP working fine, but i've installed a stock rom and it replaced TWRP with stock recovery, i did the Odin thingy again but now when i boot holding volume up+power+home it boots to download mode, and not to twrp... Also, is there some sort of bootloader/fastboot mode on this device? So i can use adb
Device is SM-T230NT
Try going for volume down instead of volume up. Bootloader is already unlocked and fastboot is download mode. Just open USB Debugging and you can access ADB
I was troubleshooting my home button that works from time to time.
So i flashed latest firmware for phone, but im pretty sure i flashed HOME_CSC instead of the normal CSC *FML*
So now when i boot download mode i cant choose by volume buttons, and booting download mode with "adb reboot bootloader" will just reboot rom normally...
Edit: Download mode boots, when using hardware buttons, but cant choose continue in download mode to be able to flash TWRP/Firmware with Odin again.
I guess if i could root it with some 1click method i could try issueing reboot bootloader command from root, but i guess that wont work either and there is no 1click methods AFAIK
Any suggestions?
Would usb-jig work to bypass bootloaders continue screen?
Are you able to boot into recovery?
Yeah i can boot into recovery, i can boot into bootloader too, but i cant press continue..
I can use the Phone semi normally, sometimes home, power or volume Buttons stop working though
In recovery all buttons work, but its the original recovery, so there is not much todo in it afaik?
I was dumb and tried installing TWRP recovery for the U.S. version of the S7E snapdragon. I nearly bricked my phone, but I was able to restore the original bootloader and firmware. However, afterwards I found out that I can't get into recovery mode when booting up (Power + Home + Volume Up). The only way I can get to recovery is by connecting via ADB when the phone has fully rebooted and commanding "adb reboot recovery".
Does anyone have any ideas about how to restore the shortcut to recovery when booting?
i tried to root my essential phone and installed root firmware. but it doesnt enter anymore at logo + Powered by Android screen.
and i cant enter fastboot mode and twrp recovery..
how to solve this bircked phone
(sorry for my bad eng)
