I was try to do a factory reset in order to follow this istruction: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63648919&postcount=12 to trying to solve the led notification bug.
But when I go to "Bacup & reset" > "Factory data reset" and I confirm, the phone reboot instantly and remain with the Onelplus logo in the center of the screen and "powered by android" at the bottom. It remain blocked here as long as I press and hold the power button for 6 seconds to shut down. When I switch it on nothing happened, the phone it's the same as before, factory reset didn't work.
What should I do? Thanx!
(I'm Oxygen 3.0 stock)
I also tried to activate the advanced power button menu just for test and if I try to reboot in fastboot mode it work but when I try to reboot to recovery it stuck on the Oneplus logo.
Someone else has the same issue trying to reboot to recovery?
(Stock recovery and stock OOS3)
Are you using the stock OOS3 stock recovery, or TWRP? Sounds almost like you're using TWRP for the older LP/OOS2 bootloader. Can you enter recovery mode at all? If not, you're using the wrong version of recovery system for your bootloader.

Hi, my phone is a brand new one, I received it with OOS2 and I did update to OOS3 via OTA. Never done any modding. I can reboot to bootloader but not in recovery mode.
Thank you!
I would recommend you to go back to the stable factory OOS system 2.2.1 using the Qualcomm restore tool. That way your phone gets completely restored as it came from the factory.

I had Mint Jelly2.1 installed and everything was working fine.
it started when I had used the APK Hide It Pro. I was in the process of hiding videos and I noticed that my phone got rebooted and got stock in the Samsung boot up image with the Custom Lock image.
I tried nandroid restore, 2 images, but both also failed to restore / bootup.
I tried re-installing ROM and it was successful but during reboot, it will still get stock on the boot image.
Last step.
I used ODIN to restore the stock ROM and ODIN was able to install and reset. And my phone rebooted but still got stock on the Samsung Logo with CUstom Lock Screen.
What else can I do to fix this?
Thank you.
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. I assume you now have 3e stock recovery because of ODIN. This might or might not help. If you have any questions about recovery, please use the search function for information. If for some reason you still have a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM), try re-flashing an AT&T ROM and Kernel again. Everything you try is at your own risk. Good luck.

I had tried to restore/flash from recovery before ODIN and it all Failed.
Anyway, the last step ODIN restore and it was still stock at the Samsung Logo with Lock image.
I left the phone to charge the whole night and this morning when I turned it on, it was able to start properly with ODIN stock ROM.
I tried to go to recovery, and can only be done manually, and it was not the TWRP recovery but the stock one, with very small characters.
I tried to install Mint Jell2.1 right away but just reboots.
I realized that I might need to root it again and downloaded the Tool and re-loki'ed/rooted and installed TWRP.
Now, I am able to install Mint Jelly 2.1 and restoring all my apps.
I appreciate the comment.
Thank you.

Yeah, every single time I ODIN back to stock, I get stuck at the splash screen also. And rebooting to 3E (factory) recovery and "restore factory defaults" works great.

I am running out of options. I thought I am already out of this stuck on Samsung Logo with Custom Lock icon.
I had ODIN to stock I337UCUAMDL and reset, Ran Loki patch / installed TWRP, intermittently it will get stuck.
I flashed Shoshock 1.9, was able to reboot and setup basic settings.
I manually reboot to check if it was able to fix the problem, but no.
I am stuck again and don't know what is the next step for trouble shooting it.
any advise will be appreciated.
Thank you.
I got stuck to 1st boot image of Samsung with Lock Custom Icon.
I did format data/factory reset/clear cache/dalvik.. all of the wipe ootions.
I flashed a new ROM, successful, rebooted pass the logo and booted fine. I did not change any settings yet and I rebooted to check if it will get stuck again and sure after reboot, it got stuck again on the 1st image that shows up : Samsung Logo with the Lock Custom Icon.

Try with:
- Reboot Menu Widget
I tried to reboot to recovery didn't work, it shows black screen and remains stuck their, I tried to re-root my phone using oneplus2 toolbox, after running the bootloader unlock, my phone is not turning on, only going to FAstboot mode. I cannot root it even though oem unlock and usb debug was allowed, now I am stuck its not letting flash recovery or rom.
please help
Don't need to root again (root is for the ROM) your ROM or partitions are messed up, flash fastboot image without data partition using naman's ubrick guide

Wrong TWRP for your bootloader.... Come on people, start reading before doing ?
Was having problems with Google play store so I factory reset from phone and not twrp and was stuck in twrp bootloop.
Then I flashed H918 deodex rom to fix it and now I'm stuck at LG Startup screen. Help please. I cannot afford another phone. Sucky military pay ((

did you do a backup of the stock rom? go back into recovery and just load the backup.

Did you re-run the Superuser zip after reflashing the rom? Some roms don't do that automatically and leaves it up to you. Also havent read up on it, but can you flash a rom from 918 to your model? If worse comes to worse im sure you can use LGs desktop tool to restore to factory and start over.
Yeah i know how you feel about the military pay ? im active duty army but not for much longer!

You need to boot into twrp via hardware keys then factory reset. I did this a while back. It was frickin killing me. You need to power off or pull battery. Use the hardware keys(power plus volume down until lg logo appears then release power for one second repress it until you get the white reset screen) to boot into recovery. Hit yes twice. Factory reset. Restore your backup if you have one the reboot system..

I'm in same boat for same reason with my US996. Factory reset from withing system. The problem is TWRP intercepts the request, and does not complete it. Even if you do it (factory reset) with the button combination. I have tried to wipe all and restore my TWRP backup (all partitions except sd card), but it remains in the boot loop. I also tried to flash a H918 rom, but the installer errors with what amounts to "wrong device" error. So stuck until I can track down a stock US996 installable file.
flashed boot.img and system.img and now when im ready to reboot it says NO OS! are you sure you want to reboot?

My experience was I restored a backup and reboot. It kept booting to twrp no matter what. I could access download mode and fastboot but those did nothing. I reflashed recovery while in twrp restored backup and it still kept looping. I then at my wits end entered twrp by doing what I explained. I used the hardware side and rebooted system after that. You might try reflashing recovery img via twrp then try using the hardware keys to enter twrp and reboot from there..

I kept at it (twrp restore of previous backup) and finally got back into workable state. After twrp restore I had to also immediately flash a super su.zip. The first reboot went back to recovery (twrp) but instead of panicking and messing about I simply had it reboot system again and it came back up normally.
I found that my twrp backup is not truly clean stock so I'm done messing about until a clean stock for us996 shows up.
Yeah i got mine booting but on the main screen notification bar says Android is upgrading when it finishes my phone reboots

i flashed a cm based rom didnt like it so i tried restore a backup but twrp starts the does a partition update and kicks me out of twrp so i cant flash anything. i tried factory reset using button combo it says android starting loads to 100% but never boots up . how can i fix this ?
Have you tried to oem relock then unlock again? It will wipe your phone. I was on the wrong version of twrp(should be at least rc 8) and got a twrp bootloop and had to send bavk to lg. Hopefully not the case for you too.
It was a bad twrp beta 4 kept updating partition and bootlooping

I just rebooted my phone into recovery mode using this quick reboot pro app, it worked fine, I just wanted to test out the app so I wanted to reboot. I pressed the reboot button in TWRP, I pressed system, I saw the boot logo, but it didn't boot and it just entered the TWRP. I tried to reboot again, the same thing happened. I'm basically stuck in the recovery. I didn't try wiping data and cache or anything like that, I don't want to mess up my phone more. Can someone help me out here, I don't know what to do to fix it

Or just reflash twrp with odin. This will reset the reboot flag.
As said use the button combo to boot to recovery and you won't have an issue.
