Hello, I'm not sure this is in the right place but here goes nothing:
I recently switched to CM13 now that the bootloader was unlocked and after a bit of research, it seems that CM "removed" the code for boot sound. I'm not sure what's right and whatnot. But I couldn't find anything on bringing back boot sounds for Cyanogenmod.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

I've read all the available articles related to my issue, some come close but not exactly conveying my issue. I can access any part of the A500 but I cant get it to boot. I can flash any rom, it indicates successfully completed but it sticks on the boot loader. I can go into Apx mode communicate with the tab from my pc. In fastboot I can manipulate the tab, but no boot. Anybody else in this boat ? If so have you solved the problem or just offer suggestions I may have missed. I miss my tab, I use it for fantasy football, music to sleep to and video on the go....
How I got here, I was running 4.2 and realized the mic wasnt working, so I figured I'd try an experimental version of 4.4, it didnt work. So I flashed back to flex resurrection and got stuck in a boot loop. I have all info If it help, Ill post it.
Help
So, I've been trying to root my Galaxy s5 for a while now and I just got it to work successfully a few hours ago. With that, I installed CWM and everything was fine.
Now, I downloaded the latest nightly of CM12 for the S5 and I threw it on my SD card and ran my phone with the up volume home and power thing, selected the zip and it's now looping. It's been looping for maybe 25-30 minutes. It stopped and said it was upgrading apps for optimization, rebooted and is now stuck on the loading screen for CM12.
I literally know nothing about CM12 or rooting or any of it, I just successfully did it today, so I'm extremely new and know nothing. I didn't factory restore my device, I didn't do anything fancy like that, the tutorial didn't say that I needed to, I just selected it and installed and rebooted.
I tried taking the battery out, and it's still doing the same thing.
Any help is appreciated.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Hey all, so I've got a nice little nexus 7 that I'm trying to turn into a head unit for my car, but I don't seem to be able to flash any other roms.
I got off the stock rom almost as soon as I got the tablet, unlocked bootloader, converted to f2fs, and flashed Xenon HD with 5.0.2. After that, I didn't really touch it much until now, and all I get when I try to flash other roms is a bootloop and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I initially started with USB ROM and Timur's kernel, but that just stuck me at the boot screen so I went to try Autodroid 1.2. Very surprisingly, that was a bootloop too. Getting somewhat worried, I went back and restored my backup which didn't have any problems, and booted straight into the system. Thinking maybe there was just an issue with the these head unit replacement roms for some reason, I tried Optipop and got the same thing, then on a suggestion I saw in the autodroid thread I tried flashing Slimkat since that's what Autodroid is based on, not sure why that would help but I was willing to try anything. And, surprise surprise, still just a bootloop. So now I'm back on my Xenon backup and really quite stumped.
Thanks for your assistance!
I unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP and then CM13 and after a while of using it got tired of the bugs and went back to the stock ROM. Then I figured I might as well go all the way stock to use Android Pay, so I locked the bootloader and everything seemed to be working fine.
In fact, right now the phone boots up just fine and the stock rom runs with no issues. Until last night that I got the OTA notification for Nougat and got all excited about it and tried installing it. That's when I realized I don't seem to have a bootloader. Or at least I have no way of accessing it.
When I hold the power and volume up, the screen just turns off. I can always boot up the phone but the bootloader, I can't access. Needless to say, the update to Nougat failed. After downloading and unpacking, when the phone restarted it behaved as though I had done the volume up + power. Just turned off.
I just want to somehow flash the stock bootloader and have everything back to stock but don't know how.
Any help is appreciated.
Hey everybody, I need help. I have a J320P that is stuck in a boot loop, when it was found like this by my friend they came to me and asked if I could help. I have no information on how this happened other than they took a shower and when they came back it was like this. I have tried installing stock firmware 3 times to no luck. I might have an sd card somewhere with the backup for this phone but finding it would take some time so in the mean time I am turning to the forums. If anyone could help that would be amazing. I will provide more information and answer questions as they come.
Steps I have taken:
1. dirty flash of stock latest firmware
1. wiping the phone completely
2. Installing latest stock firmware
3. Still bootlooped
Not solved
So after triple wiping through TWRP and installing the stock firmware again it was still looping so i left to run to the store quickly and when I returned I tried powering it on and it loaded normally and I am still setting it back up.
Leaving the original comment. After coming home from work my friend said it had started doing it again, and it is. This time there was no root and no system anything messed with, does this mean there is a hardware problem?
