[Q] Everything Except boot - Acer Iconia A500

I've read all the available articles related to my issue, some come close but not exactly conveying my issue. I can access any part of the A500 but I cant get it to boot. I can flash any rom, it indicates successfully completed but it sticks on the boot loader. I can go into Apx mode communicate with the tab from my pc. In fastboot I can manipulate the tab, but no boot. Anybody else in this boat ? If so have you solved the problem or just offer suggestions I may have missed. I miss my tab, I use it for fantasy football, music to sleep to and video on the go....
How I got here, I was running 4.2 and realized the mic wasnt working, so I figured I'd try an experimental version of 4.4, it didnt work. So I flashed back to flex resurrection and got stuck in a boot loop. I have all info If it help, Ill post it.

Please help, I seem to have bricked my device!

Alright, well, I've just had a bit of a personal crisis and here is how it happened:
I went to the Verizon store in town after I got out of school today and decided to pick myself up a nice new galaxy tab 10.1. I've been doing quite a bit of work lately with my Droid X2 and was feeling quite a bit over-confident so I quickly had the tab rooted and was running CWM in no time. So when I got back to it I flashed my very first ROM, which was: poitee's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200387. Now when I went to boot my device back up after the successful flash I was greeted not by a nice overclocked, fresh, fast Galaxy tab but instead by the galaxy tab logo followed by the horrible black screen. Fortunately I'm still very able to get into CWM recovery and download mode however I can't seem to get past that with anything i do, I already have ODIN3 and the filesfordummies.zip but I can't seem to flash anything that will fix this tab.
I REALLY don't want to take it back to Verizon as it would be painfully obvious I've tampered with it, but my little time with it was fantastic.
So my question is how should I go about getting this back to how it was rooted and CWM installed, or at the very least back to stock so that I can work with it some more, then after that what ROM's should I use? I can't seem to find many designed for the LTE version that use any overclocks, so what is everyone else using?
Quick Update: It seems to be booting fine now, I'm about to re-root it, but other than that it just booted and went into setup. Odd thing is that there's no more 4G LTE splash screen...I'm not too sure whats going on, any help is definitely appreciated here, but as it's working again I think I'm off to bed.
Also still questioning the ROM's...what is the best to use with the LTE Verizon model?
Edit: Alright nevermind about the rooting, I seem to have managed to get rid of any form of recovery, when I try to choose recovery mode from the power + volume down menu it just turns the device off...not sure what I've done here but I am definitely needing assistance.
I have the same problem, no one seems to answer a couple of posts. I can get to APX mode by holding down and power with the computer not connected to the tablet, and connecting right after it goes to black.
Also, if instead of volume + you hit volume down when asking to confirm recovery, it gets to some kind of "waiting for USB" but nothing happens...
PLEASE HELP!
Are you sure that ROM is for a LTE Tab? I think it's only for wifi Tab...

[Q] V1.11 Firmware

Hi all
I have just got my Vega and I have been attempting to master the nvflash technique but with no success.
Everytime I attempt it the screen lights, the android appears and then the unit goes off and there is no indication of any connection between my PC and the Vega.
Anyway I was checking my firmware version and it appears to be V1.11
2.6.32.9_P10_V1.11_20110627_DIX
Has anyone get any experience of this firmware as I cannot seem to find it mentioned anywhere and I am wondering if Dixons have locked the nvflash?
Thanks for you help ahead of time
Oh I think I should mention I have managed to install Clockworkmod V3.0.24 but not yet rooted the device and I was wanting to install modeed stock v2
Thanks again
Oops this doesn't look good, I know this thing is supposed to unbrickable and I do have a nandroid copy of the firmware on the SD card
But I have just shut the unit down to reboot it and it will not come on now.
All that happens is the screen lights up and nothing else.
I have tried shutting it back down and booting again, I have tried the nvflash sequence again but nothing, just a backlit screen and nothing else.
Also whilst the power is plugged in the unit will not even attempt to come on when trying nvflash, I should have mentioned that before as that has always been the case.
All I have done today is install the getjar app, facebook, angry birds and moved the Clean & Stable Add-On For All Stock Firmware V4 mod to the software update folder but not actually flashed it.
I have even taken the SD card out and tried booting up but still the same result.
Any ideas anyone please?
OK that seems nuts but the thing has finally gone into recovery mode just as I had all but given up, I have now updated it with modded stock v2 and vegacomb and just waiting to see if it is now sorted.
It came on and went through all the vegacomb animations but now it appears to be a blank backlit screen again
put original stock firmware back on it, you may fine only v 1.10 on the internet, so give that a try.
Thanks for the reply mate
I have managed to do exactly what you suggested and nvflashed the original Vega1.10 and have since updated with modded stock V2 and then updated to Vegacomb and all seems great except for the odd crash but they are fairly far and between

major issue with my vega booting and I can't get into recovery to fix it.

Hi guys
Im having a nightmare with my vega, I have been running vegacomb for a while without issue and decided I fancied upgrading to an ICS ROM instead, but have hit major problems. I went into rom manager to do a nandroid before I flashed anything, when I opened the app it told me to confirm the device type. it came up saying viewsonic 10 so I confirmed it. Then it decided to re-flash the recovery from within the app, I let it do that too. Then I told it to do a backup of the current ROM, so it reboots and then I get nothing. It does the same thing that normally happens when you go into NVflash (screen backlight comes on, nothing else). I have plugged it into the PC and its not in this mode, its also not letting me get into nvflash using the 2 second hold method. Im really stummped now, I have been messing round with android for a while so im pretty familiar with flashing etc, but without being able to get into recovery im lost. Do you have any suggestions?

[Q] stuck in android gear logo...any easy fix?

well here we go again. i push installed "gl tron" from the play store on my pc to my tablet. it showed it installed successfully. i then went to play "samurais vs zombies" and it crashed as it sometimes does for me. so i went to restart my tablet and now its stuck on the android logo with gears moving. last time it did this i tried random fixes and just made it worse and practically bricked it and some good guys here helped me get it up and running again. is there any easy fix for this not to lose all my data or make the issue worse? if not, what should i do to get it to work even if i lose my data? from what i understood last time was i had an issue in the data/media directory causing the issue. is that the case most likely this time? was it from the push install as i suspect, because it is very similar to what happened last time? i never got to do a proper cwm backup of my rom and data as i got an error and never fiddled with it again. some ideas or pointing in the right direction would be very helpful. i also would like info on how this could happen and how android works in order to avoid this in the future. thanks so much.
specs:
acer a500
skrilax_cz bootloader v8
cwm 5.5.0
lightspeed 4.8
i also have my cpuid and sbk info saved.
Can you go to recovery. "clean up tab" then reinstall your ROM?
This won't touch your data and - may - get you running again.

i went to recovery but could not find a "clean up" selection. am i missing something? last time this happened, i tried to do a factory reset and all i got afterward was a droid with exclamation mark on his chest. from what i understood is that my a500 did not have a proper recovery partition which left my tablet nearly bricked. that's what i surmised from the info i read. thanks ta-wan.
wiped data/media and it set me back to honeycomb. i rebooted into recovery and installed lightspeed 4.8. lost all data but whatevs, my fault for not backing up. wont happen to me again...

I think I softbricked, but only CM13 seems to fix on my N7. What did I do/how to fix

Guys,
I'm not even sure where to start with what I'm seeing, but maybe you can help me.
I have had Timur's ROM on my N7 2012 for a couple years. It's been crashing randomly, even though I have few things installed on it, and a good power supply. I took it out of my car and put it on an iPad 2 amp supply, and it still crashed a bunch so I knew I needed to wipe and reinstall. I also wanted to go from 4.2.2 to 5+, which I know takes away a lot of the good features I need (like power on/deep sleep).
I booted into TWRP and wiped my tablet, which appeared to softbrick it (I think I have the usage right from searching). I downloaded the Pure Nexus 6.0.1, CM13, and already had Autodroid ROMs to use. I tried to install Pure through ADB sideload, and got it installed. When I finished and tried to reboot, it said I had no OS. When I rebooted, I got the boot animation, and nothing else.
Long story short, I tried Autodroid and CM13, and using CM13 I got it back going. Unfortunately, every time I try to flash another ROM over it, it will no longer go past the boot screen. With CM13, it boots properly, but doesn't like the gapps pico I tried to install (error message when booted, keeps returning to the same pop up error).
I'm quite sure there's something I'm missing, but I don't know what it is.
Thanks!
Eric
Ok, before anyone goes nuclear on me, I think I better understand what happened. When I got ANYTHING to work, I stopped doing anything. As I understand, it wasn't functioning...it was just in a temporary mode of some sort.
After not being able to get it to work properly, I used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781250 to try and restore the system. I followed all the directions, except for using the 5.1.1 version of the ROM, and used the corresponding file name for the zip file used.
After doing so, the bootloader won't go to TWRP, but goes to the pic as seen below. I did reboot the tablet, and after waiting quite a while, the tablet came on, but I don't understand what that picture means.
Thanks!
Eric
Ok...I realized that I lost root. I'm fixing it now. I had read before, but didn't understand what I saw.
Thanks,
Eric
