Ok so its the first time ive noticed this.
My phone died tonight so i put it on charge with the power off. Went back and it was the battery with the lightning bolt icon. It was also frozen on that. I used the 3 button combo to reboot it and while it had charged to 20% there was no boot animation and the freeze issue.
I unplugged it and tried again. Same result.
What broke it?
Its:
Rooted
Xposed
And a custom rom
Xposed modules are:
Youtube adaway
Ogxposed
Superkiwi
Any ideas?

Or atleast any one know where the charge animation is held?

Started last night. Phone would just shut down all by itself. Thought the battery was dead so I tried to charge it. No LED showing charging. Took the battery in and out several times till I finally got it to boot. Battery showed about 70% or so. Used it for a while, then BAM, shut off again. Placed on the charge got an LED this time, red. Wake up this morning and try to boot the phone. LED is green and looking good.
Worked most of the morning, then it was dead when I took it out of my pocket. So I go and get a new battery for it. Does the same damn thing. I am running CM 5.0 or so on it. Tried charging both USB cable way and direct to the wall.
Now I have used recovery screen, right when I go to wipe it dies out.
Will only boot if I take the battery in and out several times and finally will get G1 screen. Sometimes it will reboot itself, other times the screen just fades away.
And Ideas?
BTW, nothing happened to it recently. But it did get wet about 8-9 months ago. I stuck in a ceiling fan to dry it out for 2 days. Has worked perfect since that day until last night.
Update:
I was able to flash Zdonut 2.5, get to the sign in screen, goes black and reboot
New battery fully charged.
I even tried an old back up with same symptoms.

I have got the same symptoms, my screen fades out and the only thing I can do to power it up again is to remove the power plug and the battery.
Nothing brutal has happened to it, it started after I installed CM5-test1 on it but I have no idea if it's related or not.
Now it's living less and less time, I'm able to boot to recovery but usually not to boot into my OS (tried to reflash superD).
I think I need to get it to warranty, but for that I would like to restore my Orange Rom, but I'm afraid to do so as I have the newest radio, the haykuro SPL and a phone that may power off at any moment...
is my extended battery doomed??? hopefully it's a simple software fix. unfortunately I'm a noob so maybe 1 of you more experienced people can help me out. here are the events leading to my situation.
I put the phone in the car dock and was watching shows on flash player app for about 2hr. I tapped the screen to pause the video so I could make a call via bluetooth. I pressed the button on my headset for voice activation but it didn't do anything. it appeared that my phone had gone into sleep mode or turned off because the screen was black. I undocked it and press the home key and the power key and it didnt wake up. I thought maybe the power cord had come loose and the battery died so I plugged it in. I thought my assumption was correct when It displayed the big charging battery and showed 0% but 2sec later it jumped to 20 then 60% and held. it never did that before. I tried powering up but it only got to the m logo and went back to the battery screen about 20 sec later. I left it plugged in for a few min then attempted to power on again. it booted up to the home screen but the screen went black a few seconds later. every once in a while the green notification light flashed. I unplugged and took the battery out and waited about 5 minutes before replacing. the battery wasn't even warm. I long press the power key and it only got to the m logo before going black again. I thought maybe the battery was totally dead so I plugged it back in and left it for 20Min then tried again. it made it to my home screen but went black before my clock widget loaded. I was going to attempt a factory reset and it booted to the triangle. I got the wild idea to tryreplacing my extended battery with my original before I performed a factory reset. that worked! everything worked fine with the original battery.
here are some apps I have installed that may have contributed. titanium pro, ADW, overclocker( was enabled but cpu not overclocked) and juice defender lite(new install). afterward I uninstalled juice defender and overclocker which didnt help.
Notes... extended battery is only 2 wks old. when the screen is black the notification light flashes (rarely). it will not go past the the m logo unless its plugged in. it is very possible that titanium was performing a scheduled backup when this happened. I tried charging the battery for a few hours and it didn't help. Mini info widget always so does the battery was good but surprisingly Now my original battery seems to last longer than before(maybe my imagination) and just as long as my extended battery ever did under heavy use(11hrs) which leads me to believe that the extended battery was defective from the start.
did I or my apps ruin the battery? Bad battery? Fixable? I'll be taking it to the store tomorrow hopefully to get it tested and replaced but if I caused this I wanna make sure it doesn't happen to my new one. all advice, on topic or not, is welcome and appreciated. thanks.

It just sounds like a bad battery. These things happen.
Now I couldn't make it out if it was a sedio or verizon battery
Nexus 10 tablet is less than a month old.
Boot loader is unlocked and it's rooted using the Nexus Root Toolkit 1.6.2. No custom ROM's or tweaking or anything, just an adblock installed.
It was acting funny the day before it refused to turn on (yesterday). The IMDB app kept crashing non stop. Afterwards, the entire Nexus 10 crashed and reboot twice upon which it changed my wallpaper back to the stock.
Battery was at maybe 80% so I left it in the charger over night. I wake up in the morning and it will not turn on. If I plug it in to my charger and hit power, it shows a battery icon in the centre screen fully charged.
I've tried holding down power for 10 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute, multiple times. I've tried holding down power with both volume keys down as well.
How can I get this thing to turn on?
EDIT: False alarm it seems. After leaving it to charge for over an hour it finally turned on and is showing battery at 0%. Even though I never leave any apps running on it and barely have any apps installed on it, it somehow drained I guess when I unplugged it in the morning over several hours.
Here's some picture's as proof:

Yeah sounds like the battery was just crushed. If you charge fully and wipe battstats and let it drain all the way down to death it should fix this up. Do you still have this issue where it drops from 80% down to nothing? I'd recommend BetterBatteryStats and GSam battery manager for seeing where your battery usage comes from. Hope your problem is all sorted out.

Same symptoms with me.
Left GN10 4.2 unlocked/rooted/stock ROM plugged to charger overnight.
This morning "Google"-logo showing, device warm/hot like running for hours (inside it's closed case).
Managed to enter TWRP recovery after many attempts, wiped cache + dalvik cache. Rebooted from recovery. Device shut down and then behaved like urfase's...
Pressing power button (short / for 30 secs / for an eternety) just shows fully charged battery symbol, no vibration, no boot logo, no fastboot, no recovery.
Have it plugged in now again and waiting...
Knees are shaking out of fear.
so, i was using my 6P today and it froze for 5/6 seconds and then turned itself off after that i couldn't turn on the phone or enter recovery menu . It also didn't charge when i plugged it into charger also plugging to the pc did nothing. So it was completely unresponsive. then i pressed the power button for 20/30 seconds and it started but again froze during boot animation and again turned off to the previous unresponsive state. I tried this long power button press 3/4 times and finally got it to turn on but it again froze and turned off on the lock screen. Then got into boot loader menu while it was frozen by power + vol down button and flashed stock 8.1 firmware. But it still freezes at boot animation and turns off. Anyone has any idea what i should do?
@RØ35 try a new battery how old is that one your using?

Hey thanks for replying. I thought of battery problem. But the battery was working just fine until the first freeze this morning so i'm not sure this is battery problem. BTW my battery is almost 2 and a 1/2 year old.
Do you think this could be the BLOD isuue?

Hi!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F). I had battery issues with the phone for quite a while now. What I mean by that is that the battery would hold for about 2 hours before dying. And it would usually die at around ~50%. I should have gotten a new battery way sooner, I know. I just didn't have the money to do so.
Anyways, two days ago the phone suddenly crashed whilst using and was not responding at all. It was just frozen. So I took the back cover off and removed the battery. Then I inserted it back in and it would not turn on or charge at all. It was just dead, so yesterday I went out and bought a new battery. Everything was working fine for about 3 hours until it just died out of nowhere again. It wasn't responding for about 30 minutes, but I managed to get it to boot somehow. It was working from then just fine, until today at work it died at ~45% battery again.
I got home from work about an hour ago. And I just cannot get it to boot for the life of me. I tried switching batteries, leting it charge for a bit, holding the power button and/or various button combinations for 20+ seconds but to no avail.
What could be the problem here? Is my phone just dead pretty much? Any help is appreciated!
You can try putting the phone in a sealed bag (without the battery) in the fridge for a couple of hours and then try starting it again.
If you can start it then go into download mode and if you see the 'mmc_read fail' message then you need a new motherboard which are available used from AliExpress for around £30 and are relatively easy to replace.
A temporary fix is (if you can start it) to install the Wakelock App by darken and set it to 'Processor' which might mean you get a bit more use our of it providing you don't shut it down.
Also depending on the brand and source of the battery it could be a fake and knackered anyway.
A heads up, you will want to use Wake Lock Revamp by Darken if you are on Pie.
Crashing on 45~65% battery and hard to reboot
I had the same issue on my Note4 T-Mobile (SM-N910T) until yestarday. The carrier and Samsung both told me to either send it in for repair or to buy a new one. They also mentioned the changes to get this fix was slim or none, so buying a new one was the only option. So having noting to loose, I searched the net and found this battery calibration instructions posted by Trex888 and work great for me.
Note 4 random shutdowns Battery at 15%,20% fix ( without root )
1,open dialer and dial *#0228#
2,after dialing *#0228# the battery status menu will popup.
3,hit ( quick start ) at bottom of the screen in red color
4,hit ( yes ) and go to settings/battery and disable fast charging for 1 charge only.
5,power off the phone and charge to 100%.
6,turn on the phone and if it shows 97,98,99 plug in charger again and charge to 100%.
7,once it charge to 100% unplug charger and this will create new battery calibration status automatically.now you can enable fast charge again.
8, Next go to play store and download wakelock power app and install it. Open the app and hit (PARTIAL WAKE LOCK) as in screenshot below.
This app will help prevent the device from random rebooting and freezing this app does not require root access.
You could have probably skipped steps 1-7 and just done 8
If you get it booted again reboot into recovery. When in recovery fully charge it until it gets to 100 percent. Then reboot. See if that fixes your battery issue.
