Hi, can you please give me more infos about the whole process? i've never rooted or flashed nothing so i'm really out of it.
I've been looking online for a complete guide to downgrade the tablet but i didn't find anything which could help.
I won't risk to brick it if i do the wrong things just trying without know exactly the right steps to follow.
Wish you can give me the steps to follow so i can go back to KK and finally use it as it was.
Lately i'm facing worst battery life (its able to play movies for 2h and mins) and it's getting really hot :crying:
Thanks in advance.

[Q] How to install OTA on rooted device.

Hope you can help me here. I have searched around not finding exactly what I need of info.
I have a rooted I9505 (using This method)
I have not installed any custom recovery. Just rooted european non-branded device.
I would like to have installed the new OTA update, but obviously my device will not let me do that.
How can I unroot or install this update without wiping my device?
Would need step by step instructions to make sure I do everything correctly.
Any help would be appreciated.

use odin to flash latest firmware, it will not wipe your device. but make a backup before, for emergency. maybe you will need to wipe data if you your phone stuck into bootloop
see my sig. for odin

[Q] help with superSU files

Hey all, I'm fairly new to rooting an android device, this is actually the first time I'm rooting my phone. I used Wugs Nexus root toolkit to root my device and everything went well until the last step where I had to go open superSU app. I would get a popup stating "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSu cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you will need to manually re-root counsult the relevant forums for your device!"
What does this mean exactly? and where did i go wrong? I honestly don't have an idea on how to manually re-root.
Through the toolkit I've unrooted, flashed stocked and did the OEM lock again, and tried the whole rooting process again and I still get that same error. I think I need some guidance if you guys can help me a bit. Sorry to be a big noob about all this.
Thanks!

No need for "unroot". Just flash the supersu zip, and it will install the binaries.

It has been posted a number of times, a search would have given you the answer. Download the file HERE, and then just follow the directions HERE. The directions are for the 4.2 update, but the same steps are taken, just change the command from "adb sideload 094f6629314a.signed-nakasi-JOP40C-from-JZO54K.094f6629.zip" to "adb sideload 13088e35942c77e4752aa1fdf51d54472509b941.signed-nakasi-KRT16O-from-JWR66Y.13088e35.zip"
I cant update either
don't feel bad. I've tried to update my n7 for the last few hours. For some jacked up reason my computer can't see my N7 after it goes into fastboot. I've scoured the net and tried different solutions and still no luck. Guess I'll just wait.

Seems you haven't installed a custom recovery yet buddy, if you tried, you've failed.
First root your phone, then install a custom recovery, then try again booting into your recovery.
If your already on stock kk, I don't believe you can install a custom recovery yet, only root it. So you would first have to downgrade back to JB.

Well there only 2 options really, I'd say TWRP is more user friendly, so i would recommend that to you, before installing a rom first read the instructions and make sure they haven't first recommend a recovery for that specific rom installation.
Once you have a custom recovery its very simple to switch between them.
Follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469995
It's an old method but is very easy. This will install twrp but an old version.
So before using the method above first download the latest twrp onto your phone, i don't know what version of the g2 you have so if you reply i can try point you to the latest, but if you search for twrp 2.7 for your phone you should find it. You want it in .zip format.
So after saving the file to your phone, go ahead and follow the instructions above, if it says it successful, try booting into recovery again, the same way you managed to format your phone but this time it should boot your recovery, then press install .zip and flash the latest twrp.
Then your ready to go! just follow the instructions for the roms you'd like and flash them.
Best of Luck!

@Magic2010 wrote a quick how to find the info you need. What I'm going to say is if you are a noob please read all the threads he posted, atleast 2 times each. Read them until you are certain you understand them. While rooting and such is fairly easy and it is not easy to truly hard brick your phone, soft bricks can be as easy as forgetting to push a button or not reading a file name completely.
I would suggest not just reading to top posts in each of the threads magic linked but read all the posts so you know what others did, and how they fixed it and our how they could have prevented any issues.

I did all the steps, but when restarted phone, it still stucked at LG logo, and when restarting in recovery mode, it says possibly lost root... I flashed the latest SuperSU, but still the same. My device is LG G2 LS980 and I'll be waiting for any suggestions.
