Guys I just flashed CM 12.1 and I don't like its camera, is there any way I can get the stock LG G2 camera on it? Please guide me completely as I am a newbie, if not possible, tell me some other good cameras that would have plenty of features. Thanks

Hellp,
This forum is for newbies finding their way around XDA Developers, it isn't a themes and apps section.
Please visit here LG G2 Themes and Apps section and find an appropriate compatible camera mod for your device.

HEY I'm new in this forum and im not talking english so sorry for the bad english
any one can give link to the best aosp rom for lg d800?
and i want to know if i have any way to install lg g3 camera on aosp rom? i want it on flashable zip
oh yhe and the lg keyboard
thanks guys
The best aosp rom is all down to personal preferences.
I personally like aicp wich can be found in the original android development thread but there might be a chance you dont like it.
As for the lg apps you request, that isn't possible as they will need the lg framework wich isnt in aosp roms.

Has anyone discovered the lg g3 stock camera codes? It would be useful if we can get a small team to work or if there is another team we should help them more. Please write any comment or ideas to get this stock camera available for custom rom. It would be appreciated from a lot of people.
yes please if only there's a way to port stock camera drivers to aosp-based roms i'm pretty sure everyone would be grateful
That's why I want to get a team started on it.

yes. From what I've seen you need LG stock framework included in stock-based roms for the camera to function at is best. AOSP drivers from Google are nowhere close. If there's a way to port the stock framework over...
I not sure, please find other xda developer that can help us,because I don't want to say something does not real or that's a maybe
Please guys, use the search fonction of the forum...
Many people ask many time if it's possible to port stock camera, but we can't than we don't have lg source code !
look at this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/devs-only/camera-hal-caf-t2981136
Is anyone trying to get those codes?
I think everyone is in agreement that getting the stock camera ported over to AOSP would be the biggest news since the release of the G3... it's the primary reason people keep going back to stock (well for me anyway) but I've given up at this point...
I so agree but we need to figure out the lg sources
Only LG can share their source, and they will not. We ask them for the source since there are AOSP rom on LG G2...
You can do petition or what ever you want, but only LG have the knowledge for that.
Can we not figure it out by modifying the camera or we can ask the source provider to tell us or something like that.

more options is always nice

If you compile for D802, I can test.
If all goes well, I advise you to create an official topic in G2 ANDROID DEVELOPMENT.
I'm sure many people will like AOSPB ROM.
Wow this is great! Looking forward to this. Ill try to flash this on my D800 this weekend. Thanks for this

Hey man, I just curious.
You are using AOSPB + CM device tree + CM kernel?
Will you try to compile for the D802 this weekend?
Do you have a G2 (D800)?

Booted up fine. The camera shows "can't connect to the camera" error. Actually it would be nice to have the snapdragon camera instead. The light/dark theme setting does nothing. Haven't tested everything but the ROM is really smooth. I really like this idea of a simple ROM.

When you tested, your camera work?
I love both types of roms Stock based and CM or AOSP based. But for the CM or AOSP based i always find myself with the dilemma of not being able to use the camera that came with pretty much any stock rom from samsungs or LG (which means there are some features that would be lost if i go to CM/AOSP such as manual zoom)>>> I know the camera is usually linked to the UI and framework of the device. But,,,, is there a way? I would love to bring the camera with me if i decided to jump into the LineageOS wagon.

Just curious, why not? I have seen framework packages for the moto camera. I'm currently on a Nexus 6 but need up replace it so was looking at the LG V20 but will need my LineageOS.
I believe one of the devs that has been working on getting the 2nd screen working on AOSP has stated he looked into porting the camera and said he didn't dig to far because of the way the files are interlinked together. Not sure if it's possible but just too much work or what but you can ask him
Here's the thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/progress-screen-api-aosp-t3549121/page15
Heres the thread
HA! i totally forgot i was the one that created this thread hehehe. But yeah i figure it would be very troublesome to manage to port it into LineageOS.
Hey guys, we have seen enough of posts of the stock camera being ported to custom ROMs.. but is there a working version of the snap camera found in ROMs like Invicta that can be flashed on stock? If yes, please direct me to that link?
Adding to this, I am not rooted, but can flash a zip. Please help me.
Same question of yours answered.

It's the snapdragon camera. Google for it. There are several apk's to download and it's been available for a wide range of other devices with snapdragon chipset in other threads.
