If you compile for D802, I can test.
If all goes well, I advise you to create an official topic in G2 ANDROID DEVELOPMENT.
I'm sure many people will like AOSPB ROM.

Wow this is great! Looking forward to this. Ill try to flash this on my D800 this weekend. Thanks for this

Hey man, I just curious.
You are using AOSPB + CM device tree + CM kernel?
Will you try to compile for the D802 this weekend?
Do you have a G2 (D800)?

Booted up fine. The camera shows "can't connect to the camera" error. Actually it would be nice to have the snapdragon camera instead. The light/dark theme setting does nothing. Haven't tested everything but the ROM is really smooth. I really like this idea of a simple ROM.

[Q] Canadian D803 custom rom

I noticed on the development forums, there was no custom rom that's compatible/being made for the Canadian variant.
Forgive my newb question but is this because the D803 version has a locked bootloader? And if it is locked, does that mean that we can't flash any custom roms on it?
If I can't make it looks nexus-y I think I really need to sell it asap.
Thanks!
I think we might be screwed for a while until things pick up in development

1. you can try D800 ROMs (ATT). They might work. You might want to start with mods first because they're relatively benign.
2. you can't flash custom ROMs like CM but there are many deodex/partly odex stock ROMs which definitely count as custom because they remove a lot of bloat and add features. So, you don't have to have an unlocked bootloader to flash ROMs. The only things that count are having TWRP (which i believe is loki-d for you) and root.
Unfortunately we may have to wait for FreeGee team to get an unlock going before we'll start seeing AOSP roms. Yes, the D803 has a locked BL, all versions of the G2, G, and G pro do. FreeGee unlocks it, but we don't have it yet.
Why do you need to make it nexus-y? if you minded it so much that you want to replace it just after you got it, why did you buy G2 in the first place? :silly: have patience, friend.
I do believe there's an extremely pre-alpha test of CM10.1 around here somewhere. EDIT: found it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454417&highlight=cyanogenmod

You just got me super excited. How do we delete just the boot.img, just open the zip and take it out? recompile?
I am guessing if that works, then any at&t rom should work as long as we retain our own kernel.

Yup just open the zip on your computer, delete the boot.img, then transfer to your phone and flash. No issues at all, everything is working.

What does suck though is that most performance/battery enhancements come from kernel changes, and we are probably going to be left out in the dark :crying:
Since most variants of the G2 are almost identical hardware wise...here's hoping it'll turn out like HTC One, where you can freely "flash" to a different variant. *fingers crossed*

D803 ROMs
For any fellow Canadians still interested or confused, there are ROMs being developed for the D800 that the developers also made work with our D803.
Currently I'm running PARANOlDANDROID 3.99-RC2 and everything, including battery life is amazing!
houstonn is also doing some great work over here.
Just keep an eye the roms in the LG G2 AT&T developments section!
Currently I'm running PARANOlDANDROID 3.99-RC2 with a D803 on Rogers.
Everything works amazing, battery life is great. No complaints at all!
Cheers.

QSlide is a nice feature, but after seeing it, MultiVeiw on the Galaxy S4 looks far nicer. Is there any known port or known method to port this feature to the LG G2?

You should definitely try out one of the awesome g flex rom ports with dual window or if you prefer running stock lg rom you can download the g flex split view mod and flash it in your recovery. This way you get resizeable windows in multi window just like on the Note 3

I have a D801, but the ROM says it's only for D802. Is there any D801 version, or could I do the kernel overwrite procedure here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522808)?
Try this rom instead and don't forget to flash the d801 patch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582845

[REQUEST] LG G3 Q Remote port

Is anyone able to port the Quick Remote apk from the G3 to work on the G2?
I extracted the APK from a G3 rom and posted it HERE
I know that the G2 QRemote app works perfectly on AOSP roms but the G3 version is so much nicer.
Thanks!

My first question is why do you want to flash a Cm10/cm10.1 rom?
Second is try to flash stock Jellybean modem and if that doesn't work the AOSP modified 4.4.2 modem, I believe that the jellybean modem will work fine on you

1. It may work just fine but check the development section out since there are good/optimized Kitkat/lollipop custom roms which are more secure and faster then the old CM10 rom. Also check out the tweaked stock roms and the G3 ported roms
2. Well just say that you are running CM10.1? rom if you are still wanting to use that rom.

I dunno what maydayind is talking about, I've tried almost all of them and none of them have knock code.
He is probably thinking of Knock on.
Same boat here.. would be nice to have knock code feature back on my g2 running 5.1.1.. oh well guess we got to patiently wait
The knock code is closed sourced LG software. Dont bother looking for it on any non LG rom just like the rear notification Led.
