Hello , I have only just signed up here today, so i apologise in advance if i have posted in the wrong area.
I have a sim free samsung galaxy note 4 sm-n910f, running android 5.1.1, unrooted as i dont understand the process nor benefits, im happy with the phone as it is bar one problem.
all updates are upto date from samsung and play store.
Never had any problems with the phone since i bought it, but recently encountered small annoying problem i am unable to solve, despite looking long and hard for a fix.
When i use social media on my phone, and look at any photo/image, i ouch the image to see it larger, which works fine, but whenever i try to zoom into a certain point on any given photo, the photo snaps shut.
i used to be able to zoom into any give photo, and be able to drag around to stay zoomed at the same zoom level.
This proving to be a pain to me as i am severely partially sighted, and find the note 4 to be a great device for my needs otherwise, with the large screen.
Is anyone able to help me with a little basic advice please? its ruining my viewing experiences

I did a search so I hope this hasn't been asked a million times before. I have noticed that I may have lost some resolution on my XDA Mini S
I synchronised over a photo – that I had taken with a camera, I had it as my ‘screen saver’ on the today page – looked good. Really clear just as you would expect
I noticed a day later that the screen saver looked a bit rubbishy – then I checked my photos on the phone and they all look like they have lost resolution – there is a distinct lack of colour and clarity. Almost like an Andy Warhol painting.
Taking a photo also produces the same sub standard quality - so I'm hoping that I may have done something by mistake that is easy to fix.
I have had the phone for 3 days and apart from the photo have also uploaded Wisbar onto it - apart from that I haven't done anything
As a side note Bubble Breaker seems to have a lack of colour as well – although admittedly this could be my imagination.
Any help greatly appreciated!
You cant change color resolution on your screen its 64K and fixed. What screensaver are you using? It may have a bearing on your problem but it does sound like a graphics hardware fault. Do a hard reset just to be sure of this though as this will rule out any software conflicts. How to do the hard reset is in the manual.
Thanks Mark
I think you are dead on - I did a hard reset and it still looked rubbish
Also to back up what you said :
If i look through the camera/video capture anything with red in it is all fuzzy and hazy, whereas everything else is 'perfect', and
Importing the photo back onto my laptop the photo looks OK so it's def what the xda is displaying and it seems an issue with the colour red.
Many thanks for your help - doh i hate getting a new toy and returning it straight away!!
i just bought a used samsung focus. It is working perfectly except for 2 things.
1) Camera is very bad, no pictures come out well and its not very good
2) The proximity Sensor is not working, i have looked at the service menu for the samsung focus and the box is always red and no number is ever showing (reg shows 0)
ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED, im panicking and very sad
Also, i was wondering is there a way to completely reset the phone, and redownload and install the operating system. maybe the software is busted?
Try one of these ROM's to re-flash the phone.

yeh id do as fido said ad relash, sounds like someone gave you a toasted phone or did something to it, because honestly the focus phone cam is the best i've ever had.
I thought it took crappy photos too, until I discovered if you half-press the shutter button then it allows the phone to focus better (and in dark situations it uses a filler-flash so it gets a clearer pic with less of the flash white wash). Since then I've gotten some great photos, even had one used in a newspaper!
Hi guys,
I recently purchased a used Tegra Note 7 on eBay. As I'm in the UK it's the Advent Vega variety, although I don't know if that is relevant as they all appear to be the same unit; can someone confirm?
Anyway, I have noticed that every so often I lose touch response along the left or bottom edge of the screen, where the nav-bar would be in either portrait or landscape modes. This sometimes results in me having difficulty pressing the back or home button, or having difficulty selecting the settings button in the bundled camera app (this sits at the top-left of the screen). Another annoyance I found in the YouTube app; when scrolling through videos to watch, it would load the first video my finger landed on, but then continue scrolling. It's like it registers my first touch as a 'click' then realises I actually want to perform a continuous movement.
Having read a few posts scattered across the net about various touch-screen issues and some apparent software fixes, I wonder if I should stick with the tablet and wait for Lollipop to fix everything(!), or send it back on the assumption that this is an inherent fault. Because I may end up sending the tablet back, I'm hesitant to try any software fixes that require unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery.
So what is the general consensus? Is the hardware flaky on these devices, or is software to blame?
I wasn't pleased when I found out that the UK models are Advent Vega (I experienced many issues with their first budget device, which was pretty horrible), but hoped all Tegra Notes were built equally regardless of the market.
Thanks in advance.
Today I was watching YouTube in reverse-landscape mode (so that the hinge on the flip case was at the top), and I couldn't click the search button at the top right of the app. It just would not register. Five minutes later, it starts working.
What's the deal with these screens?
Well, it's going back to the seller. I had no confidence in the device being able to give me hassle-free use throughout its life.
Plus there doesn't seem to be much of a community. Weird how this tablet seems to have gone under the radar.
HELLO-O-O-o-o-? ECHO-O-O-o-o-.
I get the touch screen issues occasionally too. I find that just turning the screen off and then back on usually fixes the issue.
Still it is bloody irritating!
I am miffed at the lack of community support for this device too. I thought that given the price and the fact that unlocking the bootloader is so easy that the dev community would have been all over this tablet. Shame.
Yeah it's a strange one for sure. It's still one of the most powerful tablets around, runs almost pure Android, has front-facing speakers, a half-decent stylus, easy to unlock like you say, and is an absolute bargain.
The Shield Tablet looks absolutely awesome though, hopefully that ends up with more of a following.
Dear all,
I wanted to see if anybody else is experiencing the same issue. I have received my S6 Edge+ on Tuesday and a couple of days ago I have noticed the following problem that annoys me a bit.
I am using a lot of video chat (Kakao Talk if that matters) and every day in the evening I notice black edges of the video screen where my own video feed is usually shown on the top right of my display.
The whole square seems to be a bit lighter / more white too. This is especially noticeable if you turn up the brightness. Normally the square goes away until the morning, but its really not pretty to look at the screen during the evening hours.
I don't have enough posts to attach a sample picture, but anyway my Note 3 camera can't quite capture what I am seeing. When I look at it, there is a noticeable "more white" square with darker edges.
If anybody is interested in seeing it, I can PM you the imgur link.
So my question is: Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Maybe with a different AMOLED phone? Did the problem go away after some time or did you exchange your phone?
I am a bit hesitant to send it in, as since the problem usually goes away over night, they won't see the same issue when my phone arrives at the service center.
If you want to check your screen I suggest to turn the brightness up and use either a white background or "Screen Test and Fix" from the Play Store
Thank you in advance for your time and input.

Not sure if this is the exact case (I didn't read the complete article), but you should look at this :-

Also use the code *#0*# on dialer to verify the screen with each colored pixel one at a time.
Resurrecting a very old thread, but I just burned the "Samsung Galaxy Edge+" text from the boot up onto my screen, which sucks. Bought the international model off Swappa used, so no warranty. Was my own fault, tried flashing a custom recovery onto the phone but it didn't work and got stuck on that bootup screen (which is max brightness, which made it even worse). I was doing something else at the time so couldn't get to my phone, it was probably left like that for about 30 minutes only and that was enough to burn the text into the screen....... WEAK.
Currently trying one of those screen burn-in fix apps from the Play Store, we'll see if it works.....
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has taken photos of a waterfall with the Samsung s7 edge so that the water is silky and smooth looking? I've been reading up stuff on the Internet and based on what I read, went to take a photo and it came out all yellow and overexposed. I had the ISO setting to low and the shutter speed up to 10 seconds (it won't go higher than that from what I can see). Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Do any of the other settings in pro mode need to be readjusted?I'm going away soon and know there will be waterfalls and I really would love to master this type of photo. I'm a total newbie to trying to take photos like this other than using Auto mode, so please be gentle Thank you for anyone that takes the time to read or reply to this.
when i was looking for s7e oreo 8.0 stock camera app to flash it on my phone (with no luck so far ;( ) ; I've came across amazing google camera apk port for s7e please
check it out just google it since i can't post external links , i hope you're going to like it.
No Front facing camera though , but since your asking for landscape photography you won't need it any ways , enjoy
