SM-N910V_FIRST_100MB_BPA1_DEVELOPER.zip
Instructions
1. Download the appropriate zip.
2. Extract it so you will have a bin file.
3. Get a SD card reader and your micro sd and connect it to your computer.
4. Use windisk32imager to image the .BIN file to your microSD.
5. Insert the microSD on your phone.
6. Put your battery in and hold DOWN + HOME + press PWR. This should get you into download mode.
Samsung SM-N910V BPA1 (no MBN)
7. Download the ODIN file.
8. Flash it to your phone.
9 & 10. NEVER DO WHATEVER YOU DID TO BRICK IT AGAIN.
This should get you back up and going and still converted to DEVELOPER mode. You will also be safely upgraded to BPA1. If you want root again.... just put TWRP back on you phone, flash supersu.zip and Multisystem kernel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you who really muffed things up, you will need to use these files and go all the way back to stock retail.

Awesome! Glad this is out for the N4. Used the same method when I bricked my S3 back in the day.
I tried flashing the N910VVZW2BPA1 Stock Restore N910VVZW2BPA1 via Odin and the flash is failing. Any idea? I followed the root procedure and something went wrong so I'm trying to get it back to factory to start all over again.
Says SW REV Check Fail : [tz]Fused 2 > Binary 1
usually that's an error related to using the wrong package

So I followed this method and my phone rebooted but nothing happened. I had to power it on my self and it booted to android.
After you've downloaded the recovery IMG file, I assume you grabbed the correct one for your model, open Flashify app, select recovery image on the flash tab, browse to where you saved it and confirm. Job done.
The app should then ask you to reboot and it will boot into twrp.

I did grab the right one but it didnt boot into twrp. It shut off after showing the LG logo for a brief second.
Hmmm not sure to be honest.
It worked perfect for me.
Maybe try deleting the downloaded IMG file and flashify app and reinstalling and try again.

No I don't have a guide. I'll just give you the files you need because I don't feel like typing much. Lol. Flash this with Flashify. Its 2.6.3.3 specifically patched for 12B https://www.dropbox.com/s/meddqewk6muv8p5/twrp.img Then reboot to recovery and flash this https://www.dropbox.com/s/rnj9i1lsg8oc1js/Stock-TWRP2.7-VS980.zip I made that one patched for all firmwares since the newest one won't flash on 12B it seems. Twrp recovery is a way for us to flash stuff into the system or even whole new systems.
If you find and install that on your phone you can then flash SuperSU. I'm sorry I don't have this device yet so I cannot help you more. But I have done similar with two other Samsung phones.

Im pretty sure he said. Flash twrp recovery with odin. Theres like some sort of file you flash with odin to get twrp, not with the apk.
Twrp is a recovery.
Samsung uses a pc recovery software called Odin. It is capable of flashing any part of an unlocked device including a recovery partition.
Since the tab 4 did not have a locked boot loader we can flash twrp without root. Once twrp is installed with Odin on the PC you can simply flash su into the device using twrp

For that matter you can "flash" SuperSU with Odin if someone (traditionally chainfire) creates an Odin flashable bin.

Hi
so I flashed my grouper with a 5.0 rom and everything works smoothly BUT music playback. Apparently it's an issue that plagues all 5.0 rom. Naturally I tried downloaded a 4.4 rom and flash it but doens't work. Is there anyway to downgrade?
Thanks
The easiest way to go back is to flash a factory image. Although this will wipe the internal memory.
Here is the link to the Nexus factory image site: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
BEWARE: Flashing a wrong factory image (ex: a 2013 image on a 2012 device or vica versa) would certainly brick it.

Rgrds,
Ged.
Today I will try this and will let you know. Thank you so much Bro for your help.
I don't take credit for this, i am just giving a guide on how i was able to gain root and recovery on the Sprint Note 4 with Lollipop.
Let me start by saying i was running the Hybrid-X series rom. Here were my steps to upgrade to Lollipop and keep all my data. If you are on stock, skip this step.
1. Flash the stock rom tar found here:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95853297432265112
2. Once you reboot, run system update and you will download and install Lollipop. When it installs and reboots, you should still have all your data and apps.
Once in lollipop, i followed our old root method which does work for lollipop found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/orig-development/sm-n910-cf-auto-root-t2897428
Now, to get recovery, you can do it 2 different ways.
1.download an app called flashify from the play store. Download the following file in .img form:
http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/trltespr
2. download the .tar file from above and flash in oodin.
Once you have both on your phone, open flashify, select recovery image and hit Yup! and then reboot. Your phone should reboot into TWRP.
At this point you will have all your data, root, and recovery. Enjoy
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for damage to your phone or voiding your warranty.
As a note, i would backup your data though any apps that you can. I wiped the data since the system seemed sluggish. When i restored thought titanium, there were a lot of apps that were crashing. Wiping the data to each app didn't work. I had to uninstall and re-install the app, but then you loose the data.
On a second note, once i wiped data in recover, lollipop was very nice and smooth.
Awesome good find have to try it out

I'm guessing once you flash the stock rom tar you get the stock recovery, that's why in step 3 you have to use flashify to get twrp back.

Once you have both on your phone, open flashify, select recovery image and hit Yup! and then reboot. Your phone should reboot into TWRP.
At this point you will have all your data, root, and recovery. Enjoy

I used galaxy tools and it seems to be working fine.
Nothings changed. Odin stock tar, odin cf autoroot, odin twrp 2.8.5... Just like kitkat.

No, I used 3.7.

TWRP works. I backed up 5.0.1, did a full wipe and restored it. No problem.
The only issue I have found so far, es file Explorer can no longer write to system or change file permissions. Bummer, I'll have to find another way to copy over my custom boot animations and sounds.

I'm asking because I read somewhere that Lollipop was a little more carrier friendly in blocking the hotspot feature unless it's been paid for. Can you verify that it works with Galaxy tools?

After the update, my sim is locked again. Galaxy Tools will no longer unlock for international use.
And it doesn't read the MSL either.
EDIT:
It does still add all the toggles.

I had a custom rom trupure installed after rooting my phone unlocking boit loder and putting twpr,I wiped the rom and put back stock marshmallow. But left the phone with twrp and bootloader unlocked. Will I be able to receive OTA update w
With bootloader unlocked and twrp still installed? I heard there was 6.0.1 coming up already. Since I reinstalled the marshmallow stock back does it come with band 12 update already??
No with TWRP, you need to get stock recovery or just wait to somebody release the 6.0.1 rooted already.

OK how do I go back to stock recovery so I can receive the update? And what about the bootloader?
You can downgrade to LP using the tool that is on Devs section, then take to MM OTA again.

That's the one to use. It will replace TWRP with stock recovery and stock LP.

One of the threads mentioned flashing the NON-hlos.bin file afterwards. Did you try that? And I'll see if I can find the thread...
---------- Post added at 12:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:47 AM ----------
Also, MM is now available as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/development/pure-firmware-tuff-wip-t3224833

Here's the command in adb if you're in the bootloader screen: fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Try and flash that again.

I also, humbly and respectfully, request that you do not blame the phone for your flashing problems. And I most humbly ask that you try to do additional reading and searching before you do anything else to your device. Almost all of your issues have been previously addressed in older posts and searching and reading are expectations for members. Hope the above link gets you there... :highfive:
