Asus ze550kl laser relock bootloader - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

İs there for Asus zenfone 2 laser ze550kl relock bootloader ??? Pleasee help me

Nope, there isn't. Did something happen to your phone? Do you have to send it in to the ASUS service centre? I sent in mine 4 times (could not boot), all with unlocked boot loaders. They still continued the repair (and the warranty as well) as if nothing happened.

So you are saying that you have unlocked bootloader and still your warranty is NOT void? Can you tell us which laser variant you have and what method you used to unlock your bootloader? And did Asus service guys relock your bootloader?

I have the ZE550KL variant and I used the official unlock tool provided by ASUS.
After the servicing, they would just tell me that they replaced the motherboard (bootloader locked). That's it.
What's worse is that even if the seal sticker is not there, they would just take it in.
I'm not sure if you would have much luck at your local service centre, but I would recommend you going to the official service centres instead. This is because if you were to go to, for example, an authorised ASUS repair shop, they would have to check extremely thoroughly (in case anything goes wrong).

Do you relock the bootloader can not be found that way?

Sorry, but I do not get what you are trying to say.
Though, if any developers are interested in finding out what files are changed etc. so as to re-lock the bootloader, I do not mind sending them files of such as my bootloader is still locked as of yet (received my phone back from the ASUS service centre last Monday).

[LG G4] [H815]- [Official Bootloader unlock by LG]

God it Exists
Thanks to the Codefire Team and thanks to LG we have from some minutes ago the official steps to unlock LG G4's Bootloader:
Here
VERY IMPORTANT
1) For now this procedure is only available for H815 International variant (but LG page it says: "We will add more devices with unlockable bootloaders unlocking permission progressively")
2) doing this will void your warranty
My advice is : we have to support codefire Team ( @autoprime @thecubed @jcase @IllegalArgument ) much stronger to have a bootloader solution that will not void warranty and give us always root availability.
Codefire Team is our real hope to be always masters of our devices
G4 with official unlocked bootloader - screens :

Would be nice backing up these partitions once(and possibly other) in order to revert to locked.
Don't have the g4(yet) but will donate for sure
Its probably worth posting this in General too!
Great. I wonder when can we root the g4?
Awesome but not being able to lock it again worries me :S.. I'll wait a little more.

For sure.
Only if Codefire can play on real devices we could have relock feature for bootloader and clean drm partition too i think
Me too, will wait alittle more. Just got the device not gonna risk without warranty that soon
LG was offering their warranty for unlocked and rooted devices... What happened now?
Not able to relock it? LG is the new Sony now with DRM and similar?
I'm very disappointed.

Unlocking BL may have side effects. If you experience an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, please call your doctor immediately...
Who does my doctor contact if he has an erection lasting more than 4 hours?
i never had a device blocked for more than two hours ...got my G4 yesterday and just made my donation 5 minutes ago cmon guys:good:
This is embarrassing to ask. Does having a locked bootloader mean you cannot flash RomManager or TWRP? or something else?
If I only wanted to root and keep OEM rom do I still need to unlock the bootloader. Im in the T-mobile G4 LG-H811

Correct, locked bootloader means no TWRP or custom recoveries.
Root is possible with a lock bootloader after finding an exploit.
Tmobile is unlocked right?

Relock Bootloader and Warranty

Hi.
Somewhere, I've read that after relocking the Bootloader, one can see that it was unlocked before. Is that really so?
Can someone tell me what the Bootloader status says, after relocking?
I don't want to run that procedure just to be able to see what the status is.
Thanks in advance
Greets

You can relock yes, but Motorola already knows that you unlocked it, because you asked them the unlock code giving your IMEI. Relocking is pointless for warranty

If a person chooses to relock, what is the procedure to unlock next time round?
Does one need an unlock code? Does the original one work?

Whats the point to relock? Warranty is void. Just more hassle, because every time you unlock it again it wipes your phone...

According to some, it would be a security measure.
Yes, I understand that the warranty is gone the moment I agree to that on Motorola's site even if I never actually use the code and unlock the phone. The question is from curiosity, really.

Technically, asking for a code doesn't mean you've used it, so it's not a proof of anything.

it doesn't have to be. It is when you request the code that you sign away your warranty. It is in the not-so-small print.

Seems like you're right. They're cheeky bastards
Will OTAs be Installable if we relock?
Relocking the phone won't give your warranty back for 2 reasons.
1) When you have unlocked your device you have asked a code to Motorola (and they have stored your device as unlocked)
2) If you watch on botloader there is a bootloader status (or something similar) that report code 3 (unlocked) and not 0 (not unlocked). If you relock your device the status code remain 3, so it continue to say it was unlocked. Relocked the bootloader haven't any utility (a locked device is a bit more secure but wipe your data everytime for a bit more security isn't so useful and if you want to reunlock it you have to ask the code to Motorola again (IDK if fastbot oem unlock is enought or not)).

Is Asus collecting Serial Numbers when ulocking bootloader with their tool?

As above. I want to send my unit for warranty fix. It has problems with hardware. 3.5 mm jack is cutting audio from right channel. I want to relock bootloader and flash stock firmware.
No I think because I unlocked my bootloader with their tool too. Then I relocked it, flash the stock firmware and I asked customer service about my warranty and they said I still have it.

Well thats shame. I have problems with hardware not software. Maybe they will accept it :/
It's a hardware issue they won't be checking boot loader details officially just take a receipt of your asus with service center.

Yes you loose warranty. If you unroot it, you will have your warranty back.
To unroot, you must reflash the original software.
Unlocking bootloader won't affect warranty.

In my country, if you unlock your bootloader, it won't affect warranty...because the people at the service unlock your bootloader so they can fix the stuff that you encounter.

Which country do you live
when i asked for bootloader code, there was some mesaage with, "unlocking will void warant" .. and jeah, they can see, if you are requested bootloader code.. and jeah, waranty are lost if you change software as it wasnt intend. but flashing stock room will lock bootloader and will unroot phone, so warranty need to be back, but thats only theory. better dont try things with phone, if dont know what you are doing!

If you unlock the bootloader, you can easily root your phone. Did they install TWRP/CWM or any other custom recovery? Can you check it?

Can a Max Pro M1 have a bootloader that can't be unlocked?

I'm thinking of buying an Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 (ZB602KL, 4 GB), but want to install my own ROM of choice. So just to make sure, I asked the seller if the bootloader can be unlocked. (Even if that weren't my goal, I don't want to limit my future choices). To my surprise, he said that they asked their supplier and the bootloader can't be unlocked in this model.
This guy hadn't really earned my trust before. How possible is it that this is true?
This xda forum wouldn't have been possible if bootloader on max pro m1 was locked
You can unlock bootloader in 5 minutes...

I have owned phones before (although not Asus) where the bootloader was locked on a hardware-level and it was impossible to unlock in any way. I definitely want to avoid that this time, thus my question.

I know you said, bro. But that wasn't my question.
My question was this: How probable is it that this supplier's Zenfone Max Pro M1s have unlockable bootloaders as they say?
The real asus max pro m1's bl can be unlocked and if the your supplier has made some changes to the bl then you've already lost warrenty on that device since its not all stock... Don't buy from him...(Although no one on xda has made a modified version of our stock bl..so chances are maybe that guy doesnt even know about it at all)...
