expert please help - IDEs, Libraries, & Programming Tools

My phone is huwaei p8 lite. I rooted my phone by king root. Then replace it by super su. Now I want to install viper4Android but I can't do. I tried to install busy box but it's saying it may installed but not in my selected location.

Do you have SE Linux set to permissive? I don't have the phone myself but the general help I could give is try installing busybox to both "xbin" and "bin". Doing these three should help! If not, let us know.

hello there.
I have an htc tattoo.

"busybox works, but "su" doesnt work properply:"whoami" tells "whoami:unknown uid 10048". instead of Root/uid 0.I think that your "superuser whitelist"Sytem-App doesnt work.please check it"
i alredy installes superuser form the market, but it doesnt help.what should i do?
i would be very grateful if somebody helps me out
thx´s alot.have a good day
ask this question in a relevant thread or the Q & A thread
this thread is CLOSED

for Su install universal androot

Franco.Kernel. 'Root Issue'

Hello.
Apologies in advance is this is re-hashing old/well-covered ground.
Firstly, the Kernel is great - thanks!
The issue I have been experiencing recently, though, relates to permissions. Ever since performing an update last week, I have been unable to access the app; instead, I am faced with a message, reading: "You need root permissions to operate this application. Exit and try again."
So, I have tried this. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and tweaking some of the security settings. Nothing.
Again, apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.
Hope someone can assist. I'm a relative novice, so please be kind.
Thanks.
Perkin.

Are you using SuperUser or SuperSU?
I think there is a solution. Can you try to go to SuperUser or SuperSU on your phone and make sure Franco's app is recognized to accept root access. Also try to click on Franco's app and click 'forget', exit SuperSu or SuperUser and go to the application. It should prompt you to accept root access. Accept it and see how it goes from there. Make sure SuperSu or SuperUser is updated.
obvious question.. are you sure that you have root? you dont need root to flash and run a custom kernel, only to control root apps. also, are you using superuser or supersu? flash this in your custom recovery, it should fix your problem http://download.chainfire.eu/314/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.20.zip

[Q] so i've tried a bunch of root methods for the (au) SCL22 [SM-N900J/] for Japan...

but none of them seem to work quite right...
-i tried one from the thread that was titled something like "Everything You Need To Know About the SCL22"...
---... but when i finished my root-checker app told me that i did not have root, and busybox/terminal weren't installed correctly.
-i then tried one from different thread that required manual terminal input "using su, etc."...
---... but when i got to the point of inputting the terminal code, it told me that it could find root, and rather than having a #-symbol, i got the $-symbol...
i also tried the first two methods again , two more times, each; to make sure i wasn't fowling up someplace. meticulously followed each of the steps, with same result.
-and then, finally, i tried CF-autoroot but could not find my model number, and was getting impatient, so i tried just the standard N900 one and got a soft-brick, which i am currently trying to restore...
-i only wish to remove bloat, install a custom rom (don't care about NFC, don't care about Knox, etc.), and install custom apk's. but meh :/
does anyone actually have a real, working root that i can follow clearly? lollipop or otherwise? in my reading of these forums, it seems the SCL22/SM-N900J (au Model) has been neglected.
i read through every thread i could find on the matter, so i feel like i really tried to root it myself and fix it myself, before asking for assistance :/ any help?
DK
Old post... but I have been looking for some SCL22 solutions myself, so I thought I'd help here.
I have root on my SCL22. Busybox works. I may have done more, but as I remember it, all it needed was:
Install:
twrp-3.3.1-0-hltekdi.img.tar (Installed via Odin3 v3.12)
Booted into recovery mode with TWRP. Installed (via zip, not image)
SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742
That SuperSU copy, I've had for a while. Dunno if it can be found again, so I'll leave a copy here.
Yeah... that's it! There may be better software than SuperSU, but this works 90% for me. I wish SuperSU had the option for me to select software to give root permissions to; instead the app has to request root access, and then SuperSu will pop-op a notification to grant/deny root permissions. Sounds fine until the software you want to give root, doesn't ask for root (so then it never gets it )
But yeah... root. Enjoy.

Need guidance for Galaxy E5 (S978L)

First off, I have little knowledge about rooting, custom recoveries.. etc. I'm a noob.
My problem is that I do have my Samsung Galaxy E5 (S978L) rooted with King Root (verified with root checker).
But I am trying to get rid of King Root and replace it with SuperSU. I have the SuperSU-Me app installed, but it
doesn't get past "Processing, please wait...". The regular SuperSU app gives me an error when I try to install it,
and it says "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?" I have to select normal? Since my device is not listed
under TWRP's install menu... and the normal install fails leading me to "Installation failed! please reboot and try again"
which obviously doesn't work for me. I think I read something about unlocking bootloaders, but I am not sure where
to go from that, since samsung is harder to do that with? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also I don't think it helps that this E5
is the straight talk tracfone model.
Bottom line is I am trying to replace King Root with SuperSU, and install TWRP onto my POS phone. Any help is appreciated. Once again, I have no clue about anything really. Trying to learn this stuff
Try this SuperSu Me version, it worked like charm for me,

I started a thread about thishere.
Has some useful info for you. Supersume got rid of king root for me, version 6.7 did it I'll try to upload it later. Also as far as a custom recovery, we are still working on making a permissive kernel which I feel like I am getting closer, but not having a computer to test with if I brick I'm out the game for a little bit lol. Also in my thread at my latest post I explained how to find the proper partitions to dump with dd in terminal emulator, to make a proper nandroid. Many useful articles on this site. Good luck. Maybe you should merge this with the other thread I linked and started for our sneaky straight talk phones. Also, once we get the permissive kernel, we can get the custom recovery going probably, bootloader needs to be unlocked too. Anyways ya, be easy.
Just a little update: I finally have SuperSU installed. For some reason, supersu me wasn't working with my king root, however once I uninstalled it, and installed KINGOroot supersu me worked...
Maybe I can now assist in your process since I have a powerful computer and a decent paying job. But my days are pretty busy. But shortly I'll be trying to make a nandroid backup after doing some reading. Have to learn some of this stuff. But my next couple days are packed. Anyways thanks for pointing me in the right direction

Getting problem after rooting

Hi. First of all I would like to thank for helping me in rooting my phone. Today after my exams finished i tried to root using odin and cf auto root and thus was successfull. But now i am facing a problem :-
After rooting super su succesfully installed and on root checker my phone showed that its rooted but after sometime if I open supersu it automatically shows that i have not installed the binary and on checking in root checker it shows that its not rooted. If I restart the phone then its again shows that it is rooted. What do I need to do? Hope to get a help soon

I have the same problem, whats your model? my is E500M
I had same problem with my E500H.
When you root your phone.
Super su gets updated from play store, hence it shows that binary file are missing.
Uncheck auto update apps in play store.
Super su will be working good but it start lagging after that. I don't prefer rooting my phone.
Instead get CM13 for E500H, which has inbuilt root option in developer options.
