hi my friends, i hope you could help me with this, im having a strange problem,i bought a note 3 n900 second handed with this problem, it has imei null and baseband unknokn, i sended it to repair store but they solve half of the problem since now it shows the correct baseband but still imei null, is there anyway i can fix this ? (see attachments)
i must add that since i bought it had that imei null thing, so i have no efs backup, anyway i saved its EFS folder backup when i first started to mess with it, but when i try to restore that EFS the problem persist. I think maybe the efs folder was already corrupted when i bought it.
thanks any ideas would be appreciated.
they just flashed the right baseband maybe but there is a problem with the radio chip. it's just a tablet and there is no legal way to recover your imei i am afraid (other methods involve using an unlock box).
You got any solution

Thanks for response. Can i recover from memory card? When i installed custom rom, it will backup efs automatically. Which recovery is best? Dr.ketan...voilla...etc. I didn't understand. What is that?
Custom roms do not back up EFS.

Hey guys, I'm having a huge problem with my GS4,
I have flashed different roms, and now, my phone won't recognize my sim card.
I've checked my settings then, to see if my IMEI is still there, but it isn't.
I thaught okay, I have a TWRP backup of my EFS folder, so i went to restore that, but the IMEI its still unknown.
Can I somehow extract the EFS folder manually from the TWRP backup, or restore my IMEI otherhow?
My WIFI is still working with no problem at all.
Also I do not have an nv_data.bin file, but a working TWRP Backup.
Thanks in advance.
In about phone do you have a baseband. Also what happened immediately before you lost the IMEI number

Hey guys, the problem appeared again,
after flashing the Gummy Rom, and the IMEI Backup in TWRP, the phone was working fine, until today, when the IMEI disappeared again.
So I flashed the Stock Rom and the IMEI again, and it worked. But after approximately 2 Hours, the IMEI was gone again, and even the re-flash of the Stock Rom and the IMEI backup, the problem has not disappeared.
Does someone know how to fix the random IMEI disappearing or has faced a similar problem?
Hey,
last week my phone lose the mobile data connection first. After a reboot the phone dont ask for my PIN. So i look after my IMEI at there was only 000000000.
So i restore the EFS partition with TWRP and everything runs again.
Today i have the same problem! After EFS restore it works agin.
Do I have to do it every day? Or have anybody a solution for that?
Thank you in advance for your response!
I would re-flash the ROM.
Thanks, will try.
But i guess my phone is going so die

Do you have EFS backup saved?
Yes
I once had a same problem on my Galaxy Grand 2
If you have EFS backup just restore it and it should fix the problem
If you don't, take it to Samsung repair centre and replace the whole motherboard for around $150

In my country, that's how much the phone costs..
How can it be like that i already backup EFS already restore and the baseband and the imei are the wifi and Bluetooth is working well and the only problem is the sim card it's like blocking me from using it , it's because of the motherboard and how could it be (sorry i still don't understand) or its because of region lock ( random guess )
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 [SM-900] and I remember waking up and noticing that it was off. I tried to power it on, it reaches the screen in which it says the device's name and its model (Samsung galaxy note..etc). However, it shuts down after that. I tried to wipe and factory reset my data and install a fresh rom using Odin but the outcome won't change.
Is it a hardware problem or what? Please help me.
EDIT: Now I got it working but now I get the not registered on network error
Check your IMEI is correct first .
If wrong restore your backed up EFS folder .

I think it's not.. it starts with 0049 or sth. Moreover, I think I f***ed up things without backing up the EFS... I didn't see this problem coming up
Search and read multiple EFS IMEI Posts. Some fix by flashing modem others need service repair .

I am afraid your efs partition and imei is lost you should have a backup from twrp.
If you take my advice just go to any repair shop and they will write a new certificate files using a box called "dongle" it will cost you less then 10$ i guess without this box its not possible to get your imei back so dont waste your time and dont flash files you dont know because your 200$ device may end up hard brick and completely useless.

I didn't back it up and now give my phone for repair but in Pakistan there is no skilled and experienced technician.
They even don't know what had happened to the fone.
