Can you do video and audio out... at the same time? The 4-in-1 plug has component outputs; does this include the audio out? In other words, can I output a movie clip to TV or projector?

You should be able to by using the headphone jack that's located below the USB port right? I'm thinking you can get a component cable adapter for it or just use a long audio cable to connect it to your TV or whatever you want to connect it to. I wonder also if the proprietary VGA port has audio and video output.

My "quallified" guess would be: No. Video only.
Why need that audio out put from VGA port, it have it's own audio jact, very easy just plug it...
Exactly. It works just as it should work.
Since our nexus 4 doesn't support USB line out (what a shame for google device), and it's 3.5mm audio out is kinda muddy (compare to my 4 years old creative USB sound card + Westone 4R), does anyone tried the following combo?
Nexus 4 --> slimport adaptor --> HDMI to RCA / Toslink Optical --> Optical to DAC --> Fiio E17 --> headphone
i know this is very chunky ( and i might be better off and go get a cowon j3) and not practical for mobile usage but could this be a way to output digital audio from nexus.
It sounds possible but as you stated impractical. I stream Spotify from an old laptop with optical out to a HD CD player that has two separate DAC's. It gives the sound such a lift that I really don't bother with CD's any mo
did you ever attempt this?
hello there, i've ordered a MK809III and a Rii i25 mini keyboard, i'm planning to plug it to a video projector (this one have hdmi/VGA/Svideo/YPbPr inputs)
how to "extract" the sound from the hdmi to plug it to my Hi-FI (stereo) ?
if i order a FEMALE to FEMALE adapter (http://www.dx.com/p/hdmi-female-to-hdmi-female-adapter-converter-black-162701) + a HDMI to VGA+2RCA AUDO (http://www.dx.com/p/1080p-hdmi-to-vga-3rca-adapter-cable-black-180cm-175614#.U5MqbKDgG9I) then it should work ?
or maybe that one : http://www.dx.com/p/gold-plated-hdm...udio-5-rca-cable-3m-length-80275#.U5MtVaDgG9I (+ the hdmi female to female adapter) ?
or http://www.dx.com/p/e-129-hdmi-fema...adapter-w-3-5mm-port-pink-240329#.U5MylaDgG9I + a jack cable to RCA audio ?
thanks you much for your help
EDIT, i've ordered that one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-HDMI-...=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item58a6d3749e it should be ok

What video project do you have ? I am pretty sure most of the projectors already have audio out feature..
converting HDMI to VGA or RCA to split the audio out will degrade the quality and experience and it counter-intuitive to the whole HDMI specification.

thanks for reply, unfortunately the projector (HD ready one - 720p) do not have audio output. i know converting hdmi to vga will degrade the quality, but it's not for me, and the guy who use it is watching SD divx movies using the Yellow video RCA, so it can be only an improvement from what he use. i think i have no alternative (as i've already ordered the MK809III).

ok..well you can use the USB to take the audio out. In the device MK802 the sound settings there is an option to select which port the output should go to and when you plug a USB speaker you can select the option to output sound from USB instead of HDMI...give it a try
hope it helps...

or you mean a usb soundcard ?
thanks
Edit thanks, i've ordered that one : https://dx.com/p/virtual-5-1-surround-usb-2-0-external-sound-card-22475

could you let me know if this worked and whether you had to any extra steps to make it work...
Hi guys,
I would like to connect an external DSP via the HDMI output and I want that any audio source from the HDMI go into the DSP.
So in your opinion, from the HDMI output on my Dasaita MAX 6 comes out any form of audio? For example, do you think that an Mp3 audio track (from USB stick) comes out from the HDMI output?
Thank you!
I'll explain:
Is it possible to play the audio mp3 track present on a USB stick and make them come out from the HDMI output?
Hello i want to listen to my phone audio on my headphones that is connected to the PC. i used to do this with a 3.5 mm jack from the phone to the PC's line-In socket and then in sounds setting on the PC set the line in to listen to this device. is there anyway to do this with the USBC since i have a note 20 ultra now. i have used the app sound wire it has too much latency. u can also transmit the phone audio to the pc when dex is active but even that has too much latency.
maybe i need to buy a converter or something but even that has its down side that u cant charge and listen to the phone as the same time.
idk what to do.
OMG TY this is great. just tried it and i cant see any delay. i had a Bluetooth USB adapter lying around too.
btw i have also bought the 2 in 1 wire to charge and listen but its not working at all. i had bought a simple one for 6 Euros but i think you need one that comes with a DAC or something and it cost around 25 euros.
anyway TY again.
I use the Moshi usb dac. It'll charge the phone and output audio via 3.5mm port. https://www.moshi.com/en/product/usb-c-to-digital-audio-adapter-with-charging-adapter-ipad-pro/silver
nvm found 2in1 converter i wonder will it really charge at the same time.
If you're on Windows 10 version 2004 and have Bluetooth you can use the Bluetooth Audio Receiver app to play audio to Windows over Bluetooth https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/bluetooth-audio-receiver/9n9wclwdqs5j?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
I use this often and it works great, no noticeable latency during my use
