Audio/video out - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo General

Can you do video and audio out... at the same time? The 4-in-1 plug has component outputs; does this include the audio out? In other words, can I output a movie clip to TV or projector?

You should be able to by using the headphone jack that's located below the USB port right? I'm thinking you can get a component cable adapter for it or just use a long audio cable to connect it to your TV or whatever you want to connect it to. I wonder also if the proprietary VGA port has audio and video output.

My "quallified" guess would be: No. Video only.

Why need that audio out put from VGA port, it have it's own audio jact, very easy just plug it...

Exactly. It works just as it should work.

Does the Galaxy S have HDMI output at all?
I've read in some places that it does, but haven't found a definitive answer.
It does not have HDMI.
You can however use DLNA to wirelessly transfer HD video from the SGS to your TV, which also must be DLNA compatible.
you can also use component cables and connect it to the 3.5 jack. That works also, theres a video on youtube of someone doing it.
I have a Samsung 58 inch Plasma with DLNA support and cant wait to try it out.
@Kleany: is not possible. trough 3,5 jack it can transfer only sound !!!
In this video they used DLNA technology to transfer video from galaxy to LCD screen.
Have you seen HDMI cable? there are many pins and cables is not possible use only 3-4 pins to transfer digital video signal.

here it said the u8800+ Support TV-OUT,can our u8800 support TV-OUT,stockwell or dzo ,You will enable our u8800 to support TV-OUT?
I remember seeing some tv-out stuff in the kernel. So this is achieved using a cable connected to the audio jack?

yes,can you have a try?
Where is that rom you are developing?
Is this really possible? It would be seriously cool to get a rgb out to tv.
I wish stockwell will take a look and see if he can do something..

And how should the video signal be transferred? The Ideos X5 doesn't have HDMI out or anything, just an audio jack and a micro USB port.

Through the audio jack. It will give audio R L and video. I remember my old Nokia 5800 had this type for video output.

My Galaxy S has the exact same feature. It's much better plugging the phone into a TV to show pics and vids, rather than have 10 people peeking over my shoulder to get a glimpse.
I have a feeling the Galaxy S audio jack has an extra pin that allows this feature though, I'm not sure the X5 has it.
This is all you need http://m.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ECC1TX1BBEGSTA
Picked mine up from Ebay along with all sorts of goodies in a pack that cost less than AU$20

Well, the X5 has support for 4 pin headsets (stereo + mic + ground). It will be interesting if the "mic" pin can also put out video then...
In order to support it, the motherboard has to be designed to enable the mic pin for the composite video (and the software to be enabled).
It would be cool but nowadays most TVs have USB / uPNP so it´s easier to connect the USB cable to the TV than to carry a composite (arrgghhh composite...) cable. Also through USB pics are processed as they are, no losses. Through a composite TV-out the signal is converted to a very bad quality analog 576i/480i
I don't think that you can show phone's screen thru USB. But you can with the composite video out
Actually you can. The tv takes your phone as a memory stick

Yes, it's possible to view pictures/video when plugging to TV using USB connection. But my task sometimes need to show some demo. Now, I can only do it with PC, not a LCD TV.

Hi,
Was anybody able to get the tv-out working? I have the 4 pin jack to 3 rca cable but it doesn't work. I searched google but I didn't find the answer. In one chinese site I have read (using google translate) that u8800 pro has the mini usb to hdmi tv-out but an adapter is required. Can anybody confirm this?
3,5mm jack you can use only with audio equipment. micro usb to hdmi sounds possible.

Many camcorders have 3,5mm plug for audio and video. So it could be possible.

HDMI out and audio out separate?

So I want to hook up my tablet to my older tv for some gaming or videos every once in a while, but this thing is old and only has DVI, no HDMI. I already have a converter so video comes through fine.
I was hoping I could still have audio come out of the tablet speakers somehow but it doesn't seem possible?
What about through the headphone jack? Can audio come out of there and hdmi at the same time? That would solve the issue. (Should have tried this, but didn't think of it at the time and now i'm at work)

Boy was that tough looking four posts below yours, I didn't even have to use the search function. How do you operate a tablet blind, or does someone do it for you?

Since it seems that this is just too much for you to grasp, I'll spell it out for you, now pay attention closely OK?
HDMI out of your tab to a splitter. One side of splitter use your existing HDMI to DVI to the TV. Other side of the splitter goes into the box mentioned in the thread I linked to. Out of that box, two RCA to your TV. Got it?
Just tested on my unit. Audio is normally on HDMI, when you plug-in headphones, the audio stops on the HDMI and is heard on the headphones.
A splitter will work as described or get the cable to convert the headphone jack to RCA audio.

Thanks. I was looking for a way to get the sound out through my speakers when using HDMI on a computer monitor without audio capability!
if you connect a dvi inpout on your tv, you must set the tv on EXT dvi, and if you connect the rca audio, you must set the tv on an other incoming !
No ?

[Q] How do I still use tablet speakers with HDMI out?

So got myself a micro hdmi mhl cable, connected to my monitor and get mirroring perfectly nice.
However, by default I know it will want to use the audio via the hdmi -- but my monitor has no speakers. Is there a setting where I can tell it to use my tablet speakers still?

Set of external speakers? I don't know of a way the use the n10's speakers with HDMI, but I did get some computer speakers (that I use for my raspberry pi) to work on the n10 with HDMI... The n10 worked well as a temporary replacement for my Raspberry Pi media centre while I modified the Pi's lego case

Yeah that's what I'm looking like I'm going to have to do. Need to get a USB OTG cable that doesn't block the headphone jack first though.
Was hoping maybe there was an app someone knew of, or a feature in a ROM that might allow you to select default sound output when there's multiple options.

Android stick to video projector ?

hello there, i've ordered a MK809III and a Rii i25 mini keyboard, i'm planning to plug it to a video projector (this one have hdmi/VGA/Svideo/YPbPr inputs)
how to "extract" the sound from the hdmi to plug it to my Hi-FI (stereo) ?
if i order a FEMALE to FEMALE adapter (http://www.dx.com/p/hdmi-female-to-hdmi-female-adapter-converter-black-162701) + a HDMI to VGA+2RCA AUDO (http://www.dx.com/p/1080p-hdmi-to-vga-3rca-adapter-cable-black-180cm-175614#.U5MqbKDgG9I) then it should work ?
or maybe that one : http://www.dx.com/p/gold-plated-hdm...udio-5-rca-cable-3m-length-80275#.U5MtVaDgG9I (+ the hdmi female to female adapter) ?
or http://www.dx.com/p/e-129-hdmi-fema...adapter-w-3-5mm-port-pink-240329#.U5MylaDgG9I + a jack cable to RCA audio ?
thanks you much for your help

What video project do you have ? I am pretty sure most of the projectors already have audio out feature..
converting HDMI to VGA or RCA to split the audio out will degrade the quality and experience and it counter-intuitive to the whole HDMI specification.

thanks for reply, unfortunately the projector (HD ready one - 720p) do not have audio output. i know converting hdmi to vga will degrade the quality, but it's not for me, and the guy who use it is watching SD divx movies using the Yellow video RCA, so it can be only an improvement from what he use. i think i have no alternative (as i've already ordered the MK809III).

ok..well you can use the USB to take the audio out. In the device MK802 the sound settings there is an option to select which port the output should go to and when you plug a USB speaker you can select the option to output sound from USB instead of HDMI...give it a try
hope it helps...
