I'm running stock ROM with @sev3n1985 kernel, and there's a kernel wakelock that is keeping my phone from deep sleeping. That wakelock is "msm_otg".
I found that out when I installed BetterBatteryStatus and was just randomly brownsing all the tabs it had and I saw that[emoji14]But the reason I am writting this is... How can I fix it? Disable? Remove? Is there any fix for this? Please tell me below!

[Q] KT Kernel compability (GT-i9505)

I'm on Wanam's newest ROM [MGA 1.4] and this Adam 1.5 kernel is really draining my battery. It gives me less than 3 hours of screen on timefor a full battery. Never have I encountered this in Adam 1.4. Anyone having the same issue?
Also, regarding the title, read through the KT kernel and find it quite good but im on Wanam's MGA so I needed to know whether is there anybody who tried flashing the kernel and whether does it work.
Thank you in advance.
GT-I9505 User.
i have constant restart with foxhound rom

@sev3n1985
I have one problem with this kernel, i used it for five days, first three it ran like a charm, battery good, perfomance was awsome ect. But the past two days I've been getting battery drain from Kernel (i used GSAM Battery monitor to see) about 30% from Kernel(Android OS) is draining my battery, and after that comes Android System with 20%. Is it possible to fix this or is this normal ?

No need i guess i fixed it, now it's not draining that much just did a factory reset, now its on 15%, battery is now ok, currently I'm using Alucard, it's the best, besides it seems when i changed to alucard everything went to normal, u guess ondemand was giving me problems or i dunno

Don't use ondemand, is the default gov and is bugged, use intellidemand
What's the diffrence between first and second download link ? First link is overclocked experimental version or what ? I can see first link GT-I9301I_EUR.tar is posted 2015-07-06 but the stable (v2) is posted 2015-06-06.
I think i could just unpack one of the above packages to extract kenrel.img and just flash it via flashify app
kernel
available for S3 NEO android: 4.4.2
now the kernel is flashable from recovery?
init.d isn't running
I don't know if I am the only one having this problem. when i installed this kernel it enabled init.d support but if i put any init.d script it doesn't run on boot then i tried universal init.d enabler but it didnt work. except this problame everything is working very well. and sorry for my bad English.
Hi @sev3n1985, is it safe to use CPU at 1600 MHz? However I use intellidemand for CPU, simple_ondemand for GPU and ROW for I/O and it's super as far as I can tell. It put's phone into deep sleep, over night my phone hasn't lost a single % of battery :good::laugh:

1,6ghz is the max frequency for msm8226, I suggest to not use always at this frequency, maybe use it only when you need it (i.e. gaming).
Hello. @sev3n1985 I have a question. ..
We almost have TW5.1.1 for I9301I and I9300I - can you tell me that kernel is compatible with TW5.1.1 or can You make the kernel for TW 5.1.1 in your free time ..?
Thx for your work.
Greets
Sorry but after I flashed I can't change any frequencies any help?
Please?? Any body who has an idea?
Can I ask a question? Can someone send me a link where I can update my phone? I have s3 neo
What is the most battery friendly CPU governor? Smartmax or Alucard?
And another question: Do I need PowerNap to have my phone in deep sleep mode or the kernel does that by himsel?
Thank you, in advance

Kernel Drain

Is anyone else's kernel hogging the battery? I'm on the Official 8.1.

Interesting.
I didn't see anything in the first few days.
I switched to ElementalX after a few days.
Kernel is also the #1 app in my list. However, I have not noticed any unusual drain or general battery concerns so far. I will pay attention if the kernel stays on top of my list even when I'm using other apps more heavily.
Kernel wakelocks go through the kernel but they aren't caused by the kernel. Those are system wakelocks. They can usually be blocked if you are rooted and using a custom kernel but the kernel isn't creating those wakelocks or draining power.
Same here.
When I wifi : on and screen : off, battery gone 5%/h.
fully stock, 8.1, bootloader. no root.
