Interesting.
I didn't see anything in the first few days.
I switched to ElementalX after a few days.
Kernel is also the #1 app in my list. However, I have not noticed any unusual drain or general battery concerns so far. I will pay attention if the kernel stays on top of my list even when I'm using other apps more heavily.
Kernel wakelocks go through the kernel but they aren't caused by the kernel. Those are system wakelocks. They can usually be blocked if you are rooted and using a custom kernel but the kernel isn't creating those wakelocks or draining power.

When I wifi : on and screen : off, battery gone 5%/h.
fully stock, 8.1, bootloader. no root.

Hi guys, after watching videos on franco kernel, I end up installing it to my N7. After using it for several days, I noticed nothing much changed since the last time I'm using stock kernel. Is there any way that I can install back my stock kernel? or perhaps someone can guide me to use franco kernel effectively. Since my battery life isn't affected much by franco kernel, so I decided to revert back to stock kernel. Hope to receive guide from pro's out there.
Franco kernel has later changes and commits than stock kernel does. Performance and battery life without a doubt should be higher. You can configure the kernel using his premium app called FKU on the app store, or use a third party kernel app. Best of luck.

Those AOSP ROMs will never give you as pleasing battery backup as TouchWiz based ROMs, but still first thing is, you need to mention what processes are sucking the battery life. Install BBS and mention here.

Use any TouchWiz stock ROM, or at least stock based ROM custom ROM. If you want a full featured ROM go for Arya, if you want a ROM as close to stock as possible then go with Alexender's stock ROM.
In any case, you do need to monitor what app/ processes are creating wakelock via Better Battery Stats.

After root my Edge 6+ , i decide go back to stock again.
Without touching the edge 6 + my batery is draining 10 % per hour. No sim inside.
What i have alreafy done :
1.Hard reset
2.Empty the cache
3.Put a stock firmware with odin....
I think no deep sleep is happening ...i cant use wakelock detector because is not rooted. Any aternative to wakelock detector for non rooted devices ?
What im missing here ?

Root it again and flash a great(SkyHigh) kernel Thats not so hard to do it instead of waiting such a basic advance. Bug or sth like that prevents the device to go 'deep sleep' Good luck~

Because i know that with a custom kernel will work.

Yes, with stock kernel, there is too much drainage due to not deep sleeping or/and another reason. I have shocked when i realised that(second day after owned) then immediately flashed a kernel. Now ok.

I flashed Skyhigh kernel. Deep sleep is working...
What rom you advise ?
its strange why this happen in flagship phone. If i can will send my phone back. Samsung cant put on sale a phone that drainos the batery in in 10 hours .....

That occurs for some note fives too. Weird, never faced it with other brands. This is the awkward samsung phone ever bought since galaxy s3. Customized and became kool

Not just for battery, for all. Check the various synapse options. But I prefer you to try all others(kernel,rom) if you can.
Same here flashed new kernel fixed it
This is the first time I have experienced such a high amount of battery drain from the kernel. I have attached the BBS screenshot below. Any suggestions? Running stock rooted. Thanks.
