yes, me too having same problem here
I tried both root methods some apps are working some are not working
for eg:
1) none of the icmp tunneling android app works
2) some functions on titanium backup pro works and some are not
3) romtoolbox bro is not working
but all these apps are asking root permission, some apps not even asking it directly displays a info no root detected
quite a few apps shows this error msg "attempt to invoke virtual method 'int java.lang.String.indexOf(java.lang.String)' on a null object reference"
anyone please solve this problem soon.....

AdAway & Titanium Backup both work perfectly.
Root using CF-autoroot, no TWRP, stock ROM

[Q] Unrooted phone fails to reroot but want to reset flash counter to return phone

So I rooted my phone and installed CM rom which was unstable for my model and it failed for some reason and stopped working so I installed the stock firmware through Odin. Superuser app was left but root was gone so I rooted it again to get the root, now superuser disappeared and the phone was still unrooted. I repeated the root process but nothing happens and I tried rooting with motochopper as well but nothing happens. I just need to find a way to reset the flash counter so that I can return the phone.
Try installing Koush's Superuser app from Play Store.
It's obvious that you have to download superuser or supersu from play store.

Obvious? How does superuser help on an unrooted phone? I checked with root checker basic to see if I rooted my phone and it didn't. I passed on ODIN but it´s still not rooted..
Indulge us and install a superuser app, then check with root checker.

SuperSU error messages and not working?

Hi,
Lately the supersu so from chainfire is not working well. If I open an app that requires root e.g mobile Odin it loads for ever without opining. Then the message that mobile Odin has root permission comes every 10 second til I reboot. I thing this happened after I updated supersu app. But after uinstall it is still the same. The app needs to be updated when I open it but installation fails even if I reboot and try again.
Rooted with cf auto root and on stock with cwm.
Any idea what's wrong?
Thanks

Lollipop 🍭 Survival Mode alternative Solution!

We always used to update via OTA and maintain root access with SuperSU Survival Mode in previous Android versions.
But now in Lollipop, the Survival Mode option is missing and we can't update via OTA with SU installed because the OTA verification process scans the entire system partition rather than every single item in it, even the presence of an su app in system will cause it to fail. Which it didn't before, as long as you had stock kernel and recovery.
But today I found out a simple method to update via OTA even when SuperSU is installed and maintain root access
Instructions :
1- Remove Custome Recovery via XZRecovery app (IF EXISTED)
2- Enter SuperSU and uncheck the enable superuser option
3- Update via OTA
4- Enter SuperSU and check enable superuser
5- Enter XZRecovery app and install Recovery (OPTIONAL)
It should works flawless

same for me. I installed a fresh version of 5.0.2 without anything else, but I also get the message unable to verify
Seems like this method does not work?
Hi, I'd like to install this mod, but I'm curious if this would affect the DRM of my Z2 which I've restored following androplus kernel's guide.
Thanks in advance
My phone was rooted by kingroot
Does this way work?

TWRP Freezes when attempting to install Supersu

Hi guys I just unlocked my A7 and Im not able to flash the latest Supersu zip. When I begin flashing it freezes on "Extracting Files" then the phone reboots and stays off. Anyone had this issue before?

Try this version 2.65 I think this is the only working one, after flashing it you can update the su bin through the app.
I flashed this version via twrp but after a brief boot to zte screen it goes back to black, it's been sitting over 5 minutes and hasn't rebooted... Anybody have any ideas? On b20 currently
On unlocked b27 and I'm wondering if it will work flashing supers 2.65 to get root

Thank you very much, I'll try it after I make a twrp backup.

Unfortunately it's not "true" root. Xposed works (latest version), but trying to debloat the ROM via Titanium backup doesn't work. So editing system apps isn't doable yet. And updating busybox doesn't seem to work either.

That seems a little disappointing at the moment. I'm just glad I can run Ubuntu and other distributions now.

If you mean SuperSU 2.65, yes it is a true root. /system is write-protected even if you unlock your bootloader and root. Once you disable write protection, you can do TiBu fine, AdAway fine, etc. Just a one-liner: http://forum.xda-developers.com/axo...to-persist-t3440276/post68206618#post68206618

That's because of ZTE's write protection. You have to do 'adb shell reboot disemmcwp' to disable it. I had the same problem but after I did this everything worked flawlessly
