Hi,
Lately the supersu so from chainfire is not working well. If I open an app that requires root e.g mobile Odin it loads for ever without opining. Then the message that mobile Odin has root permission comes every 10 second til I reboot. I thing this happened after I updated supersu app. But after uinstall it is still the same. The app needs to be updated when I open it but installation fails even if I reboot and try again.
Rooted with cf auto root and on stock with cwm.
Any idea what's wrong?
Thanks

So I rooted my phone and installed CM rom which was unstable for my model and it failed for some reason and stopped working so I installed the stock firmware through Odin. Superuser app was left but root was gone so I rooted it again to get the root, now superuser disappeared and the phone was still unrooted. I repeated the root process but nothing happens and I tried rooting with motochopper as well but nothing happens. I just need to find a way to reset the flash counter so that I can return the phone.
Try installing Koush's Superuser app from Play Store.
It's obvious that you have to download superuser or supersu from play store.

Obvious? How does superuser help on an unrooted phone? I checked with root checker basic to see if I rooted my phone and it didn't. I passed on ODIN but it´s still not rooted..
Indulge us and install a superuser app, then check with root checker.
HELP!!! i posted earlier about my rooting problem, still same thing.. when root is accessed it say you have been granted superuser permission for an interactive shell but that process doesnt work.. in my PA the superuser section it doesnt have the superus on it, it says currently no superuser app policies.. me and my friend virtually have the same software on our nexus 4, except only difference is that in his SU on PA has one policy and thats allowing the SU app to work or idk but ill show you the difference.. im thinking i might have to reflash my rom ?
PA already has SuperUser by Koush so I would recommend uninstalling SuperSU or you are going to have root issues.
What is meant by SuperUser app policies is root applications so it is saying that there is no root applications which has requested yet so there is nothing wrong with root.

Okk well i went through the SU app to completely unistall the root but then i had no root.. and the PA root wasnt popping up, so i reflashed the one i had previous, do you think ill have to reflash PA if i uninstall again and still doesnt work? and before i reboot my phone i got to recovery and as i reboot it prompts to intsall root before i reboot so i did it and there was an error when i rebooted
Yep just reflash. Turn off phone, go into the boot loader and go to recovery through there.

Hey guys, I m new in xda. Well I'm in a bit of trouble. think u guys can help me.
I wanted to replace my superuser app with superSU v1.45. I installed superSU and then uninstalled the superuser app from the onscreen option of superSU. And after that everytime I try to open superSU ,it says it needs to update the binary, then I need to choose a option between normal and cwm method. When I choose normal it keeps saying "Installation aborted." My superuser app is uninstalled and I lost my root.
So If there is any process of recovering my root again without flashing the stock rom again by odin, please suggest me.
***I m in stock rom now.

***Karnel: White karnel 1.3.3 build#62
There are two ways - if your phone is already rooted but you just have a problem with the app then the best superuser app for our phone is
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noshufou.android.su
once installed swipe to the right and then press update binary
if it says the binary is not detected you have to root your phone again
the best way to do this is as follows (note this will prob only work on stock based roms and not cm7 due to build prop)
download attachment
go into cwm
mount system
flash zip
select superuser by chainsdd
restart
once restarted use link2sd (playstore) to uninstall the superuser app
download the latest version of the app from the link at start of this post and update the binary as iv already said
thank you markassmith . I will try & tell you if it works.... (t:thumbup:humbup)

For those that tried to upgrade on Stock MGL using Kingo Root using the guide from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701062
This is for those who used Kingo Root with the NC2 update.zip and were stuck with the SuperSU.apk in the system folder and could not get it removed...until now
1) Use the new root method by Geohot on your Note 3 ( Pretty obvious where to find it )
2) Install the Superuser.apk attached below, this was pulled from the http://download.chainfire.eu/448/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r5.zip update and has not been modified, just extracted for your convenience
3) Update the su binary when prompted then reboot
4) After phone restarts, from within the SuperSU app settings choose FULL UNROOT
5)Phone will reboot, all root traces deleted, ISIS works and STOCK RESTORED
6) Knox still shows 0x0
7) To reroot, use geohots root method then upgrade the SuperSU with the attached APK, marketplace version is outdated and will fail on attempts to update the su binary
To sum it up, it removes the crap so you can enjoy the stock nc2 experience
And as always READ READ READ! XDA has done a hell of a job with the search feature since the last website update. Dont take shortcuts!
Update : Factory data reset done just to be sure, still Stock NC2.

Update 2: Google playstore now has an updated supersu app. Attachment in original post no longer necessary but still works.

We always used to update via OTA and maintain root access with SuperSU Survival Mode in previous Android versions.
But now in Lollipop, the Survival Mode option is missing and we can't update via OTA with SU installed because the OTA verification process scans the entire system partition rather than every single item in it, even the presence of an su app in system will cause it to fail. Which it didn't before, as long as you had stock kernel and recovery.
But today I found out a simple method to update via OTA even when SuperSU is installed and maintain root access
Instructions :
1- Remove Custome Recovery via XZRecovery app (IF EXISTED)
2- Enter SuperSU and uncheck the enable superuser option
3- Update via OTA
4- Enter SuperSU and check enable superuser
5- Enter XZRecovery app and install Recovery (OPTIONAL)
It should works flawless

same for me. I installed a fresh version of 5.0.2 without anything else, but I also get the message unable to verify
Seems like this method does not work?
Hi, I'd like to install this mod, but I'm curious if this would affect the DRM of my Z2 which I've restored following androplus kernel's guide.
Thanks in advance
My phone was rooted by kingroot
Does this way work?
