I have Samsung S7 Edge 935X and flash with 935F original Stock Firm. But there is one problem is that finger print sensor does not work except all sensors are working fine. The same problem also with S6 Edge+ Live demo unit. Many Solutions about every topic are daily discussed here, but i really feel sad nobody discuss about this problem and did not give any solution about this problem. i have requested to all user forums and android masters Please give solution must Thanx.
Maybe get a real unit? Not demo?

The demo doesn't have a calling option, that's for sure. However, the fingerprint should work, right? Does anyone know if we can test if the hardware is there? I have the 935X, but I'm not sure how to go about it
mine is also not working... g935x

I found this website which has all the details gathered together about real and fake Galaxy S6. Hope this helps whoever needs it.

I used the ways mentioned in the video to check before I bought my current second-hand S5 .
Hehe... Check it out
One of them are damn good replicas...:cyclops:
They may seem like a good, less expensive alternative to a genuine S5, but a word of caution.....
Nothing here on the S5 XDA forum will work with these devices, and if you try to flash any of the mods or roms, or try to use the root methods etc, you WILL end up bricking your device........

Hi all,
actually i am thinking of why i should root my phone. In the past i rooted all my android devices. I also did not care about knox trigger. But as i maybe want to try out samsung pay when it reaches switzerland i did not root my s7 edge yet. The really basic thing i wanted was to have an ad free phone. And thanks to adguard and ogyoutube i don't have any ad at all (ok sometimes there is a popup comming while browsing but this i did not look into further yet.
But now i might have a new reason to root the device, but i have not seen my need. So i am not sure if its possible.
I have the keyboard cover from samsung. I love it but it has a big big problem. As soon as the keyboard is attached to the front it disables always on display. So i am wondering if anybody is working on a rooted/nonrooted solution for that. It would be perfect if the aod would be shown only in the visible part of the screen with keyboard attached to the front. Is it possible at all or would we have to wait and hope that samsung fixes this?
Thanks
Personally, I wouldn't root for a thing like that. Once you root, it'll trigger Knox, which means that Samsung Pay will never work again, and your warranty is also void, so I would really think about it before rooting. Sure, Samsung Pay isn't that big of a reason for many, including me (since I can't use it yet, like you), but it's still a brand new device, and I would personally hold off for a bit. I would certainly not root just for some accessory.
Also, regarding your question, I have no idea. I don't know if there are any root-apps that solves your problem, but I doubt it? Maybe the S6 Edge has something, so you could head over to that section and look in the "Themes and apps" forum?
Basic problem is that always on display was released with the s7/s7e so i doubt to find anything in the s6 section. Except the hope to get root on s7 also without triggering knox like it seems to exist for s6.
Waranty is no problem. I work for a cellphone provider so i have enough phones around me. And i never had any problems with rooted devices beside the own made problems playing to much with roms and so on but the problem with samsung original accessory and the always on display is a big thing. Lot of customers are complaining and i also want it to work.. so all in all it would be worth rooting for me
a couple of things here. first someone said something like they wouldn't chance rooting for for something like that... my initial response, is why would you buy a powerful device like this, and NOT root it? i mean, if you didn't want to be able to use all that power, why not buy a cheaper device? if you don't root, this device belongs more to samsung and your carrier, than it does you. and you have little control over it. next, never understood people worrying about triggering knox. what exactly does that do, that you are so afraid of. i have been rooting for years, and have sent a couple of my devices in which needed warranty repair, and they always did it, WITH knox tripped. lastly, always on is triggered by the ambient light sensor. so if that is covered, it will turn off, as in if you put your phone facedown on a surface. so you need to make sure that your case has an opening to allow light through to this sensor. hope this helps.
I've rooted my s7 edge in the first week I got it thinking I could use my ps4 controller for the gear vr,but I couldn't. Knox tripped. Installed xposed modules. Bam awesome device! I see Samsung pay as a waste of time, here in Australia, Eftpos payments are used everywhere and I don't see how using my phone to pay will be more convenient and faster than taking my card out of my wallet.
Qestion 1: I planning to buy an S7 edge right now. Just one product available in my country. SM G935FD. What will I see before buying it. Because note 7 has a major exploding issue.
I am really confused, should I buy it or not. Is it safe?
Question 2: In every box I see a word right after the model number: 3 VHM. What does it mean?
thanks a lot for answering.

Hi, I've read a gazillion write up's and many forums on all things Galaxy S7 Edge as I've flashed quite a few ROMS's before I found one that was right for me. In all my adventures with this phone I've not come across any users who have complained about their S7 Edge having their phone go up in a blaze of glory (or not) like many unfortunate Note 7 users have. Mine in an International SM-G935F model and I've been super happy with it from the first day. So to answer your first question, I think your totally safe with investing in a 935FD for sure.
I can't answer your second question though, sorry about that. I can also give you my opinion on best ROM and Kernel from test driving almost all of them.
Best ROM - Superman ROM, for all it's features.
Best Kernel - AEL Kernel, it's configuration options are second to none and it's killer in performance and battery with the right Synapse configuration :good:
Hope that helps!
Hey everyone,
I ordered a Samsung Gear S3, and currently own a stock Samsung S7 Edge, which has been annoying me quite a bit lately. After looking around, it seemed like stang5litre's ROM looks pretty good, however, I am worried that by doing this upgrade, will I lose functionality on the watch, such as Samsung Pay/MST? Does anyone currently own this watch, paired with a rooted phone? If so, can you please provide your experience with this?
Also, as a side question, is it suggested that I wait for Nougat to be released or rooting and installing ROM is the way to go?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!
So i have the gear s3 and a rooted att s7 on Echoe rom. The samsung pay actually works on the watch. when you set it up in the watch it opens up on your phone to scan cards in and doesn't complain about being rooted or such unlike normal samsung pay. I have tested it once with the watch and it did work. all other functionality works fine. If you have any questions let me know
Head over to the Samsung Gear S3 forums and you'll see all sorts of members saying how Samsung Pay works with root on the Gear. It's actually a question I asked on those forums and I think a lot of people were happy to find out pretty much any rooted phone worked.
I saw mention on Reddit of flashing a U1 ROM, but it was just a brief mention. Has anyone used their Verizon S7 or S7 Edge with Visible and do you have any feedback on how well it worked or which ROM(s) you've used with it? I tried searching this forum and if I missed a thread, I apologize.
I know that the S7 / S7 Edge isn't on the list of compatible phones, but I did see confirmation that the S8 has been used on Visible before. Just because it doesn't have official support doesn't mean that it might not work.
One thing I'm still reading about is VoIMS support. Not sure if the S7/S7 Edge supports that.
