How can I use knox on s5 G900h - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello ?
I hope help me
How I can use knox on s5 G900h lollipop

What do you want to use knox for?
It only has one (alleged) advantage....In that it allows devices to connect to secure business enterprise servers.....
In all other respects, it's a pain in the backside.....

[Q] Hi, I just changed my phone to note3, and I want to root my phone.

Hi. As I said in the title, I've just changed my phone to samsung galaxy note3, but I'm not sure how to root this phone cuz I used to use a galaxy s2 before I changed my phone. ps. I live in South Korea and I'm using a Korean galaxy note3 ( sm-n900s)
The things I want to ask you guys are these
1. How do I root this?
2. Is there any custom roms that can be installed on the note3 jellybean 4.3?
3. When I root this device, does something happens to the knox warranty thing? When I searched a Korean developer forum, they said if I root this device, the knox warranty will be broken so you'll not be able to get free a/s.
4. Is the way of installing roms on note3 same as the way of galaxy s2?
5. Is it ok to install non-korean roms on my note3?
Thanks.

Of course - you'll trip KNOX 0x0 -> 0x1 and void your warranty

One piece of advice I will give you. Read until your eyes burn and you know everything that goes wrong/can go wrong and how to fix it if it does go wrong.

Go to Note 3 Android Development session, there's plenty of custom ROMs option there... Enjoy your root!

have you tried to call up Samsung for help or have you even doing a factory reset, as that should remove anything the only problem is that anything you have on that phone will go unless you have it storage on the memory card or else where, if i get any more advise i would update this

Reactivation was ON when u flash another ROM so its asking for password, I think better u visit samsung service to reset your phone.
I had the same issue
Its very sample
Just install coustom recovery
Then flash the note 3 cleaner mod (u can find it on development forum) this mod will delete alot of useless apps
Then deactivate the reactivation lock ...after that reflash the stock 4.4.2
Ohhh I don't know this, if this is true your post is good for real needy people at the same time learning method for thieves also better u could have pm him.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Free mobile app

[Q] Knox / Root Questions

Hello all,
New Note 3 user but have rooted Droid1 and Nexus in the past. I am a little confused with the Note3 because I have read about tripping "knox" and do not want to void the warranty. Is knox tripped on the phone itself or do the results get sent somewhere else? Also, what is the best thread/guide to start for someone who wants to root the device for superuser only, not interested in customization. On version 4.4.2 - Verizon
Thanks!
Take a look in mi theard

Can you root the 928I ?

Is it worth keeping knox intact ? and if its not so important, is it possible to root the Samsung S6 Edge+ 928I ?
It is possible to root the G928i but not without tripping Knox. If you care about Samsung Pay or Android Pay don't root it. Otherwise I think Knox is pretty useless beyond maintaining a software warranty.

Those things i'm not worried about and i've never used. Is there likely to be an engineering bootloader for the G928I do you know ?

Consequences of tripping knox

I just bought a T580 and seeing all the available roms for that devices (especially those enabling the 64bit part of the CPU) I am wondering what exactly are the consequences of tripping the knox counter.
For my Galaxy S8 I know that some Samsung apps will cry about the fuse being burnt but in a Galaxy Tab?
I have never used secure folder or something.
Is there anything other to look after while flashing these devices (apart from warranty issues)?
Regards,
Martin

For some odd reason I didn't even trip Knox on my tablet, at least it isn't *****ing about it. Last time I did was on my S4 a few years ago and I'd see it every time the damn thing booted (I think?).
Someone told me these tablets don't even have working Knox? No idea, but I haven't seen any indication of it having been tripped, despite having TWRP installed and being rooted on a custom rom.
I don't use any Samsung apps either though and custom roms don't tend to care about anything Knox
So unless you HAVE to use Samsung apps I think you'll be fine :good:
