I was updating my samsung galaxy grand prime duos (SM-G531H) with kies, not knowing my cable was broken while the updating the phone disconnected and i ended up with a screen saying "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" i changed the cable and decided to flash the update with odin... process went through and the phone booted up normal with the new update installed... now i decided to factory reset so i went into the stock recovery and did but it came up with a bunch of errors which i didn't take note of... i flashed twrp and repaired the file system, wiped system and then i flashed the the firmware together with the pit file on odin once more... the phone booted up normal and i was using it and eveything when i put it to charge and came back 10 mins later the phone was off.... when i powered it on it just stays on the "samsung galaxy grand prime" screen and doesn't boot... it doesn't go into recovery anymore it just hangs whe're it says "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" i tried flashing the firmware with odin again but every single time i tried it keeps failing at...

Remove kies. Reinstall samsung drivers.
Find and flash TWRP 3.0.0 with odin ( on recovery is not SEAndroid enforcing hold volume up and home for 5-10 seconds. Also flash the Custom Kernel by eyeless95 on the forum, its sepermissive.

What about for SM-G530H?
Do u have the link for the kernel?
After installing kernel what should I do then?
Two ways. Find stock rom in Sammobile and install via Odin (newest). Or try once again install it via Kies. You sould can restore it with Kies, but dont plug phone to computer. Write down S/N or something like that (it's under battery) and model, and Kies will download system

I have a g531h so I'm not sure. I'm below ten posts so i cant post links.
There are kernels and recoverys in the development section that work fine for your phone .

EDIT: I HAVE SOLVED THE ISSUE. I am not sure how but I got into a different download mode and the flash worked. I also used different SM-930A Files and it worked but system status is still custom.
I want to put my phone back to stock after I have installed a custom ROM. I have an AT&T S7. I get this error while flashing the firmware using Odin

On the phone it says the following
"SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 3 > Binary 1"
If you could tell me how to flash my phone back to stock without getting this error it would be very much appreciated.
I got the same error a while back. For me, it was because I was using Odin 3.11.1. Once I updated to Odin 3.12.3, the restore went smoothly. Someone correct me if that's not the way to fix this issue, but that is what worked for me.

I have resolved the issue. I have been trying for almost a month now to fix the phone and I finally did it. The device still says custom although I have flashed the official firmware on. Somehow I got into an alternative download mode that accepted the flash. I have no clue how I got it into the mode but it only said "downloading" and showed nothing in the top right corner. No white text.

I see. Glad you were able to fix it!
So a few months back I followed PSouza's guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039) to rooting the S7 Edge and everything worked perfectly. As of late, the phone has had many general performance issues and I decided today unrooting may be the best option for right now. So I cracked back open the thread and followed the instructions and low and behold, as always, something had to go wrong. For starters, Odin gives me a fail before it even really gets started (log below).

The phone itself gives a SW Rev check fail after that (in the download mode).
So I thought to myself I'd just keep it in the meantime and just restart it and use it for now, but low and behold I now can't leave download mode. If I restart regularly, I'm brought back to a software update failed screen, and if I switch to recovery mode (? vol up + home + power) I've wiped the cache partition as another forum suggested, but then going to reboot system now... That restart brings me right back into recovery. I currently have the phone off charger in hopes the battery dies and something changes then.
I'm also downloading the very very latest firmware update for the S7 Edge in hopes that maybe Odin will like it a bit better than this one (VZW_G935VVRU2APE1.zip).
Any ideas? Any solution that gets me a working phone again, I'll definitely make a donation to your PayPal! Thanks in advance for any help!
To anyone reading this having the same issue, follow the instructions in this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71133959&postcount=27) worked like a charm.

Have you tried using smart switch? It is a PC app by Samsung which will automatically choose the correct firmware for you, flash it and also unroot your phone. It is the easiest way to do it.

The issue I was having was that Smart Switch wasn't recognizing my phone off the bat, and when I went to emergency recovery, it would say my serial number was incorrect so it wasn't useable for me.
I tried to root my Sprint variant with Odin (Credo mobile is the carrier). Although Odin said it PASSED, the phone went into a boot loop. I tried the Sprint firmware to unroot it - Odin said it FAILED. If I hold Volume-up/home/power, I do not get a recovery menu, but just another loop, with "Recovery Booting" flashing in blue at the top. Held the buttons a long time, did everything over, etc. I can get to download mode, and the recovery mode loop, but nothing else. Suggestions?

Go into download mode and try flashing the firmware again. Tell us the error and I can try and help you fix your phone. By the recovery booting error, I assume you need the pit file to repartition your phone.
Here's the whole sad story, according to Odin:

If you've rooted a g950f/g955f, then you've tripped Knox permanently, even if you install stock firmware it will stay tripped. Because of this, any Samsung app that uses Knox such as s-health and s-pay, and so on will say you are rooted, only way to solve this issue is to flash custom rom

- i entered into Maintenance Boot Mode and tried 'factory mode' or any Debug mode or 'safe mode' and nothing, phone just reset and going back to bootloop.

looks very promising; phone was detected and firmware was downloaded:

but it didn't flash, it's failed, so i copied the files and tried with odin and it was the same - failed.
- i tried with older versions of odin, but they display "unsupported dev" error on the phone.
- i tried with different cable and computer, one at work and other at home - no luck.
i don't know what else to try, after trying to flash 27 firmwares maybe i missing something?
i stayed up all night for this.
any help will be welcomed.
same issue
i can get the newest firmware to flash with odin 3.14 but same issue. only description difference is it seems to freeze then reboot. i have seen it progress a little further with reboots (over time) all the way to the setup screen then freeze and reboot or freeze altogether. been at this for like a week now. driving me nuts please help!! i think im going to try the s7 edge firmware see what that does.
Same exact issue. Hope someone has a solution.
Just have to say. Know the frustration. I have done the same thing with a dozen firmwares. Not as many as you and can not find the answer. If I do i will let you know.
One thing
So I finally got this file to work and pass G930VVRS9CSB1_G930VVZW9CSB1_VZW in odin 3.13. It's still rebooting though. Argh.
