You cannot calibrate your battery. All information about calibrating is outdated and doesn't apply to new phones.
Maybe your battery cant keep a charge anymore.I had this problem with my old nexus 4. Reseting battery stats is total bull because android does this automatically when you charge your phone above 90%. Best way to recalibrate is to let you battery discharge till 0% and let is shutdown automatically. After this charge it to 100% in one run and your battery is calibrated again. Dont do this to often because its bad for your battery lifetime.

Hi guys,
I'd gladly post this on the CM7 RC's thread over at the dev forum but I have yet to accumulate 10 posts.
Lately I've been experiencing weird battery % issues in CM7RC2 and now CM7RC4, that the charging would be stuck at a certain percentage even if I charged it overnight. It never goes to full, until I pulled the battery and rebooted.
Is something wrong with my battery?
Thanks in advanced!
Are you using an official battery or a third-party battery?
I'm using the official one
I'd try charging the battery to full then wiping battery stats from within Clockwork Recovery.

I would definitely try this.. I had the same problem and it worked for me.. after you reset the stats, drain the battery again till the phone dies, fully charge again, and wipe again

First, doing the battery drain is effective in calibrating the battery meter but is still probably a bad idea because by doing it you are decreasing how much charge the battery can hold (i.e., a full charge will not last as long). It might not be super noticeable, and doing it once in a blue moon is likely not a big deal, but don't do it often or you'll just end up having to replace your battery. Deleting battery stats should be enough to correct the OP's problem, and allowing your phone to recalibrate under normal use is fine but takes longer.
That said, I do the battery drain anyway, but I would definitely suggest not doing it more than once every 6+ months. Wiping battery stats often is not necessary at all, unless of course you are actually having a problem like the OP is.
Second, you definitely should not clear battery stats AFTER performing a battery drain and recharge. The whole point of doing the battery drain is to let the phone gather new information about the battery since you just wiped the battery stats. If you wipe them again after doing that, the battery drain was useless.
Hello,
I have extended battery in my Atrix and I see it going from 100% to 50% in like 4 hours. Then I shutdown Atrix, boot it up and battery shows 88%. What can be causing it? Is it battery or OS?
G
Probably just compatibility issues. I do suggest running a battery calibration app or clearing battery stats in CWM.

Yes, you are right, just installed GB couple of days ago. So I don't need to do anything specific to make it work eventually right? I cleared Battery Stat in CWM.
but my battery is still 80% to 0% suddenly and die when my battery is still healthy bloated
thank you who have answered
Must have been miscalibrated. Better go to recovery. Go to advanced and reset battery stat. Or download battery fix on the play store.

Hi Friends
i have a galaxy s4 GT-I9505 and my issue is battery calibration.
if i use my mobile battery drain quickly and percentage goes to down and when i put it on standby then battery some battery percentage increase. pic shown the graph when battery percentage up
plz help me out my battery status attached with it
Charge to 100% while your phone is on, pull the battery, put it back in, charge again until 100% while its off.
That's all you need to do to calibrate.
Why are we still discussing battery calibration as if its a real thing?
There is no need to calibrate a battery. Its not a thing. This has been thoroughly debunked at the highest levels, including coders from Google.

Buy a new battery. Try a different rom. Do a factory reset to see if that clears any wakelocks.
Those are all options to try. Calibrating the battery is not. You would have just as much luck with a witch doctor putting a curse on battery draining apps.
Do you guys think its necessary to calibrate your battery after a clean install of a ROM. And if so which app do you recommend?
It shouldn't normally be necessary. Some people believe that the early shutdown issue where the phone shuts off at 20% is related to battery calibration but if you don't notice any problems I wouldn't worry about calibrating the battery.

No you can't actually calibrate the battery. All you do is find out the upper limit of charge, monitor discharge rate to tell when 100 and 0 are.

One of Google's official fixes for the early shutdown issue is to put the phone in safe mode and let the battery completely drain. That apparently worked for some people and recalibrates the battery so the system actually knows when the battery is depleted.
