This is odd. Maybe on your phone they installed a "wrong" led color. Any other gold platinum owners that have yellow soft touch keys?

Again, the date is not relevant, neither is the country. Maybe is only an assembly anomaly in your phone, nothing to worry about but i'm curious to know if others golden platinum phones has yellow soft touch keys.

My basis are that a saw a lot of phones and I talked to a lot of people with different phones, different production date, different manufacture country. But, we can use this topic to come to a conclusion. My thought is that the yellow soft touch keys on gold platinum phones are designed in this way, so no anomaly here.

Those are personal tastes. If you're glad to have a color which not belong to your phone's color and you don't like yellow keys good for you.. It's a win win [emoji6] But it is interesting to understand if others people has yellow keys.

What's your point? If you see the comments only one user says that he has a similar white buttons. On gold platinum the keys are intended to be yellow.

I just do not understand how quickly you came to the conclusion despite your original post a day ago asking whether your yellow button is normal. I see many posts people complaining about their yellow button as opposed to the bright white. Sure. It may be the case that yellow is indeed the color meant for the gold platinum version but I do not see anyone with regular s7 saying his or her phone has yellow button. Did you see one in person? So far I have only seen poeple with edge saying their buttons are yellow -- and the yellow is not even consistent.

In fact I was talking about the edge, this is the edge section. The consistent can depends on different thing, like intensity of the light or a different kind of light which has a different tone of yellow. The point is that the color is yellow on S7 Edge Gold Platinum.

Seeing as there is a different exclusive color depends on S6 or edge, figured its fair to make an edge thread. Frankly, I hate the white s6 and edge, they remind me of the white s3 from the front and a weird xperia iPhone cross in the back, but the other colors look gorgeous. The colors for edge as we know them are white, gold, black, and dark green. Green seems to be the most striking and unusual, gold looks excellent but may be too feminine for me, and black is the standard reserved option if all else fails.
Now Tmobile (my carrier) released a small video showcasing the green edge and it looks AMAZING! And considering its an official tmo video, I'm assuming that color will be available for them. I've tweeted @askdes to see if he confirms this and other details regarding the colors on T-Mobile.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on the colors, and do you know what colors will be available with what carrier?
G1/S1 (Epic 4G)/S2 (Epic 4G Touch)/S3/S4.....then I got sick of TouchWiz once and for all and went Nexus 5 (LOVED IT) and now I'm on the Nexus 6 - The S6 Edge just might bring me back home though.
32GB Edge in Gold, Green, or Black (in that order) will tide me over till Nexus Season.

I saw that Tmo video also, and I think green will be the best color, then gold after that.
I agree since TMO showed the green version they should be getting it.
Let us know if DES replies to you.
Will do! Anyone else have any thoughts on it?
The green one really interested me as well. But the fact it's glass on the front AND back, the amount of fingerprints will make the phone look messy. Though I'm sure 99.9% of phones will be covered with a case. But then again that kind of defeats the purpose of getting a uniquely colored phone :silly:.
AndroidAuthority made a video on the colors of the Edge:
http://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-color-comparison-592706/
---------- Post added at 09:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:45 PM ----------
By the way, why are the mods being so aggressive in removing certain threads (like mine where I was sharing new videos showcasing new features and/or information), but choose to leave clearly off-topic posts like this one (which concerns the Edge, for which there is a separate forum)? Makes no sense.
---------- Post added at 09:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:32 PM ----------
I have no other thread to share this in, since the mods inexplicably locked my post sharing new videos and content that this community would want to see all of which relate to or pertain to the Galaxy S6. In any event, feast your eyes on this:

If Verizon offers green, I'll get that. If not, then black.
If I decide to get the regular S6, then blue or black.

No. The only exclusives are as follows: Green for S6 Edge, and Blue for S6.
Besides those exclusives, both phones come in black, white, and gold/platinum. If the carriers, like Verizon, decide to omit colors, I'm gonna be so pissed.

Here, this should help (remember that the colors change in tone based on the viewing angle). The blue and green actually look really similar in this lighting condition. And, the black looks like navy blue.

lol you are talking about Verizon here.. bloat galore and their name logo plastered all over the phone. i bet they beg samsung so they can even get their own "exclusive" red color s6.
i can almost guarantee they will not carry all the colors. highly doubt they will have 10+ versions of the same phone (32gb, 64gb, 128gb) and all colors for them. my guess they will have the 32 and 64gb and the more common colors, black and white.
I would kill for the blue or green version edge,
but my vendor O2 seem to be only stocking , White/Black/Gold WTF ?

unfortunately the blue only is for the S6. green only for the edge. i think it's a dumb decision samsung made.. they're basically the same phone, why not have them available in the same colors so people can get the color they want.
as i said before, most carriers will only get the common colors which would be a dumb decision as well. im sure the colored versions will sell faster than the boring typical white iphone color. personally i cant stand white phones just because that color reminds me of isheeps.

god dammit i forgot about verizon bloat. is that enough to make it as laggy as past sammy phones?
and it would be foolish not to carry the 128gb galaxy, when they have the 128gb iphone.
wish there was away to buy a green one and use it on the verizon network.
I've ordered the White one.. been using the black devices all my life.. Hope i won't regret my decision
What about you and why?
i've mostly only gone with black variants till the Sprint S6e which has a blue reflection. then for the N5, I picked up a white because I didn't like the other 3 colours as much, and the true black version just wasn't anywhere. but now I'm actually loving white. now that I think of it, i've always gone with mostly black cases anyway, so covering a white phone with a black case is a nice matching contrast. I mostly avoided white because it just always reminded me of earlier iPhones and iPods. with that being said, too bad the iPhone 6s Plus won't have a white version. so space grey it is. (and no, i'll still have my N5.. and S6e.. and 5s. haha)

I agree. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I was kinda excited about the gold (since silver isn't available) when I thought that was an option. I don't understand why they would tease us with silver and not release it. My wife always gets white, so I got black again. I like the way it looks at different angles in the light. I don't like how slimy and smudged it gets. I'm getting a skin for the back because I hate cases and the front usually looks fine; the back is a different story. It basically never looks good because there is no way to keep it clean.

It'seems unusual to find scratches like those in pics. I would simply return it no point keeping it.
It seems like pressure points but to an extreme extent. I would probably just return it and get a new one if you can.

If they did not state screen burn in, in the description, return it. There are other Note 4's out there that are in great shape.
First, from the pic you posted, I can't see anything wrong with the screen. Maybe it's just not being picked up by the camera, or maybe I just can't see it (I do have my glasses on though), I don't know.
Second, it's a 3(?) year old phone at this point. If it's cosmetically in great condition, and it's still usable, and the screen issue (which again, I can't really see in the pic) isn't distracting while you're using it, then I say keep it. Especially if(?) you're just using it as a secondary/backup device.

Guys, even as a back up to my S7 edge, I have my sim in the Note 4 right now. Honestly, besides specs, the S7 edge has the fingerprint going and better camera imo. If the Note 4 had the fingerprint scanner and Better cam, I might've considered my S7 edge as a back up lol. maybe

I returned it. I bought a better one, but it has a pink tint/hue near the bottom half. Excellent conditio, though, not too much of a hindrance.

You do know the Note 4 has a fingerprint scanner, right?

We can't! We would have to see a picture of the screen taken by another device and even then the burn-in would have to be very significant in order for it to show up on a picture.

If you don't believe me try taking a picture of your device's homescreen with another device and see what happens.

Yes really! How a screenshot is supposed to show burn in issue, if there is any? It just snaps the content of the display, whatever is on it, not a hardware issue like screen burn in, cause its happening on the OLED panel!

Try to take it to samsung service center, they can replace it. Mine had terrible burn in, vertical thick yellow lines going up and down. But I was within warranty.
BUT! What you have in the First post picture looks like a replacement screen with poorly cured glue. Had one like that on LG G3 replacement China screen
Hi I bought this variant in exchanging my Galaxy S7 flat model. The phone variant is now available in India from 31 of December 2016 in all Samsung stores.
Two main reasons which made me to turn to this model:
1. Storage ( which was less in flat model)
2. The stunning complete black colour in all surfaces and more shining than the normal black onyx.
It has to be prebooked first then only it can be made to purchase.
In India it cost at 56900 rupees.

Mind posting some pictures of it, if possible?
I'm contemplating on whether or not to trade in my Black Onyx 32GB S7e, the extra storage would certainly be appreciated lol.

Dual sim bro but hybrid. Either Sd card or Sim 2. Both the slots supports 4g and VoLTE.

I am tempted by this. Have a S7 Edge which I picked up in November (was a Note 7 prebooker). Have already run out of space thanks to VR apps. How much of a price reduction can you expect if you trade in the 32GB version and buy the 128GB one?
Also, with the S8 out in a few months, wondering if it even makes sense to buy the 128GB version, especially if you already have the 32GB one. I am pretty sure S8 will be a radical departure and something that may even need you to buy a new VR headset.
Currently, a bit confused about what to do!

My S7 flat was exchanged for just 28000 INR. It was only Samsung showroom who accepted this amount whereas other sellers were highly disappointing me in the exchange value. As I said earlier I was dying out of storage since I use mobile more in both official and personal than my PC. Hence I need storage. Also dual sim support where carriers like Reliance jio are giving VoLTE services.
You can wait for S8 if you need but remember S8 mostly will not support the current VR glass and many changes and more luxury ( costlier than note 7)
