Seeing that there are at least 4 to 5 times as many apps that utilize the edge on the S7 than the S6 (just looking at the Samsung Galaxy App Store), I would love to see others develop apps to utilize this as well. Samsung will make a fortune off of people who are willing to pay so much for their Edge apps.

Which galaxy tab has the least amount of bloatware?
You can remove all the bloatware you want by rooting and using root explorer, just be careful
Well I preferably want to know about the use versions of the tab but if the European versions are than please let me know or is it just better to root the tab thanks

didn't get any with mine. The wares it did come with, like the thinkfree app and nova game were welcomed by me!
I have the sprint tab, came with sprint hotspot and some kind of sprint account manager so nothing too bad like I've seen on other devices

I'm pretty sure the Verizon Tab has the most bloatware

None came on mine that arrived today. It was sim free and just had the default samsung stuff I assume.
Does rooting void my warrantee?

Yes rooting will void your warranty.

And can it be put back to a factory default without them knowing?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Yes it can. Use z4root from the market to root and it has an option to unroot.

I am trying to decide on what has a greater app support and is a better buy. I can not decide on either the Gear 2 Neo or an android wear smartwatch. It really is about app support for me. Has anyone had experience with the two platforms? I have the Galaxy S5, so compatibility between the watches is not a problem.

That's not a difficult question. One is supported by the mighty google and all the Android developers in an open way. The other only works with Samsung phones and has a limited audience.

Yeah, I'm now trying to decide if the "Okay Google" is worth it, and what has more features.

Hey guys..
I just got an ad on my note 4 in the pull-down tray that says if I install knox I can be eligible to win a note 4? Only thing is I'm running firekat v4, so there is no knox to be found...
...is anybody else experiencing Samsung advertisements on their devices? Please don't tell me they're going to start using the notification pull-down tray as a platform to start advertising Samsung products..
Negative man. Has to be a bogus push ad from an app you installed.
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
I received it as well.
My bet is you got some spam on your phone. No way Samsung would push that out the phone comes with Knox installed.

Lol... You should stop downloading sketchy apps because they will NEVER push messages like that.
a third party dodgy app wouldn't make much sense. the ad was way too targeted to be a third party app. it knew i had a note 4 and i didnt have knox installed. what 3rd party ad app would be that specific? Plus I have adblock on the phone since day 1.
I'm 99% sure the ad (or "promo" or whatever) came from samsung. I'm assuming its from their galaxy store. It looked too professional to be a third party ad. The ad was a big, bright image of the note 4 and note edge, and the link took you directly to samsungs website without a referral number at the end.
@ShrekOpher knox isnt installed by default, the installer apk is baked into touchwiz. Knox creates a virtual partition in your sd card to store secure apps. If you don't want that (like 90% of people) you would be losing space on the sd card for no reason. You have to run knox for it to go through setup.
I'm running fire kat too, I'm pretty sure it's due to Samsung push services still being present in this ROM.

I got the same... Just don't install it..

im on fkv4 as well. No knox adds though and i stillhave samsung push service installed. I did do debloating on side though.
I got the same ad yesterday but I believe it was pushed by T-Mobile.
Well i aint running yalls rom, and i didn't receive it lol.
frankly even if it was samsung, it make no sense. why make such an advertisement on a phone the user already have
I have received this, a coworker on an S4 has as well.

can someone screen capture it it ? im curious
It is probably the Samsung app store, I'll try to take a screen shot if it comes up again, then freeze or remove it and see if is the culprit.

My wife got it too on her s5 she's unrooted
I recieved it yesterday, its from samsung push .. debloat that trasha waway
If you long press on the ad and click on "App Info" it should tell you exactly which app is sending you those notifications. If it's an app you actually use you can just hit disable notifications from there and you won't be bothered any more.
The app is an app that separates your phone from your work phone of you use your phone from work the app is on the play store
The question here is not what Knox is, but where the advertisement for it is coming from.

Im not a developer , but if there are some mates out there that can port the samsung camera app for the nexus 6p...I would be over the moon...thanks in advance...
Samsung apps are rarely ported to other devices as they are typically heavily tied into framework
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Free mobile app
Impossible to port.
Improssible
Thank you gents...appreciate the quick reply...cheers!
Does anyone know how to remove the app drawer? I remember watching the revealing of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge event back in February They said that the S7 and Edge would be able out of the box and haven't been able to find the settings for it. I did find a link for it but don't see Galaxy Labs?

Click to collapse
From everthying I've been able to find the US carriers had the Galaxy Labs section of settings removed. Your options at this point would be, go with a third party launcher that either doesn't have an app drawer, or that allows you to disable it, or get enough people to ***** at Sprint until they replace the Galaxy Labs section of the settings menu.
Good Luck.
