About 20 min north of Minneapolis. To be fair I did take it early in the morning and I knew where the tower was. That said even with a clear shot to the tower, it's still very impressive. Test was taken on Band 41 X2 CA as you can imagine. Will see how high it can go once X3 CA is lit up. This phone doesn't have CA X2 on the upload side however the HTC A9 has it which I find odd. It's not live anyway so I guess it doesn't matter right now.
While this kind of speed is great for bragging, it's under optimal circumstances. Band 41 building penetration is horrible and even outdoors it is very touchy. A lot of times I can have the tower in site and Band 41 will clunk out. I really thought once Sprint lit up Band 26 this would help solve a lot of signal strength issues but it hasn't. Even on Band 26 sometimes it will struggle to pull 2-3 down meanwhile Verizon can pull 20+ no problem and no signal issues. I don't see how Sprint could switch to VoLTE with signal being so weak in so many areas. This of course is dependent on your particular area but I would much rather have more consistent data coverage 10-20+ in more places than some crazy speeds in Band 41 areas. Too bad they are skipping the FCC auction for 600mhz, that could really boost Sprint up.

mines not even close to those speeds.
Not bad here in DFW, depending on what part of the Metroplex you're in. I was driving 70MPH on the Dallas North Tollway when I ran this test yesterday:

Nice, I figured Evansville would be one of the last places to get it. What parts of town does it work in?
Where are you in evansville, im on the far west side and don't have it yet.

I am right on the north side. The map on the clearwire app is pretty acurate.

Tried it out today and 3g was faster. My 4g speeds sucked, poor signal at Deaconess Hospital area. .45 and .76 mbs down .05 and .57 mbs up. 3g is 1 down and .75 up. Whats up with that?
OK talked to our sprint rep, they are only testing right now. Coverage will go in and out with speeds changing all the time. He didn't know how long before fully operational. They are just testing a few towers right now. What a tease.

Ok I think I'm missing something. Clear shows 4g in Fort Wayne, IN but Sprints coverage show nothing there. I turned it on to see if it would connect, but it just say on scanning...My phone has connected to 4G in Chicago before so I know it works...
They are testing towers all over. Part of sprints 5 billion dollar tower upgrade. Can't wait for finished project.

What kind of speeds are yall getting with 4g? Include how many bars of 4g, speed, and location!
4g bars: 3/4
Speed: 1382.8kB/s down
115.1kB/s up

If I can pick up 4G where I'm at, I usually hit about 2.5-3mbps.
I go a bit north (next big city up) and I can hit 7.8mbps on 2 bars of 4G.
I got as high as 10.8 and as low as .04 (yes on 4g)
why do people make stupid threads like this??? Just shows that most of you people don't know what you're talking about. lol. the download speeds are going to change depending on where you live and what bandwidth the tower even has to begin with. and so on and more factors.
I think you are the one that is being stupid, I think this thread was made what do they get where they live of course there going to have different speeds., signal strength ..etc

Pleasant Hill/Concord area. It's spread out here. I hang out a lot in Pleasant Hill and Concord and it works really well. Full bars. I live in a town just a mile or two away and nothing (I barely get reception where I live so I had to get an airave box, but in all fairness, I live up in the hills, no joke).
4g bars: 3/4
Speed: 5,768kB/s down
~840kB/s up

4 bars:
7.5 mbps up
.98 mbps down
Its to bad i don't live there hah.

In Iowa City, IA, I've been able to get over 5 on a couple attempts since the HSUPA update, but typically average around 4. Definitely an improvement, especially with boosted upload speeds, but still not even close to this phone's capability.
New Port Richey on top (normally 1-1.5 up) and the poor ones were today at lunch in Oldsmar. Always poor there during the day, but can usually get at least 1. I don't think they can handle the traffic.
Mine actually went down when going to 1.8.3, thinking about flashing back to 5.7 and doing the radio mod thingy (so technical) and going back to the average of 4.5mbps. Now I get luckly if I reach 2mbps
While I was tethered last night I recorded speeds of 7.21 D/L and 1.58 U/L. This was in North Jersey.
I get the same speeds as my gf's iphone (1 - 3meg down / 1,2meg up)
So I don't think hspa+ is working yet..

Heh,
I was at my Dad's office scanning and faxing a document for a client through myfax and man I was stuck at 300kb/sec and the total size was about 16MB. Needless to say, it took a while
Two days later I get the Gingerblur'd version of the newest update and I'm hitting 1Mb/sec up and those PDF files weren't too much of a problem.
It really does make a difference.
I am in Harrisburg, PA and I can get speeds up to 6500kbps dl and 2100kbps ul. Very Nice!

Coming off VZ and the thunderbolt...this is just right...14mb is cool but you can only use it a few hours cause your battery is lunch meat. Perfect balance between speed and battery life...

Don't feel bad. Mine isn't always much better. I am normally on wifi when I need to do web surfing or anything major. I see you are in Dallas which I guess I could understand the speeds because of major usage. I live in a small city and still get somewhat pathetic times, usually just a little bit faster than dialup.

Ouch. I have WiFi too, but it's also an unreliable POS because it drops out every ten minutes. I'm thinking of switching, but the only other carrier that has a decent signal is Verizon, but 5GBs of data is a killer. I often pass 6GBs on my EVO.

Is the wifi a hotspot problem or a phone problem? If it is a hotspot problem then I would flash an updated firmware for it. I had a linksys with that problem and the firmware fixed it. You could also try changing the wireless channel in the routers configuration.
It's a Sprint problem.

I had never been concerned with data speeds on the Moto G, it always just worked and I never had speed issues so I didn't worry about it for the most part. But after doing some testing I'm pretty impressed with the throughput on this device.

I"ll have to do a screenshot later but I know I don't approach your best speed. The best I"ve seen is about 45Mbps down and 8 to 10 up. I have AT&T in Greenville, SC and I get my best speeds testing to a Comcast server in Atlanta, GA about 110 miles away. My pings run 89-90 ms. Of course there's so many people here with cell phones and it's just you and that other person in ND isn't it. JK
