[A6000][Stock ROM 5.0.2][ROOTED] Device Performance Issues - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Hello XDA
I am using A6000 rooted using Kingroot. My device is lagging very much. I need tips to improve its performance utilizing the advantage of root access.
Also I want to know the best custom ROM around available.
I am liking the CM 12.1. Suggestions please?
Thank you

Use cm 11 with MoStock kernel.....!

yeah, use cm11 @ cm12 for more performance.

1. If you want a rom with All In One S5 N3 S4 N2 apps and various tweaks then Tamirda's PhoeniX V18.5/18.8 is best option...you will not maiss anything there
2. If you want Stock N3+N2 then Dr Ketans rom is best
3. If you want N2+S5 only then MrLuong' s rom is best and themed (it has great battery life because of lite ver. and black theme)
4. If you want other than this then try DN3 or Phantom
I am CURRENTLY using PhoeniX and its greatest!

I am using Omega v27 since it was released and it has been rock solid, buttery smooth and battery friendly so far.I have no complains of it.
phantom Rom is The best for battery life and performance......:good:
i am a new custom rom user. my first rom is cyanogen mod 11 snapshot version for n7100. it seems stable and dont have so many bugs. if you want to experience pure android like nexus try it.

Cyanogen Mod is definitely not pure android. There are many many additional features not present in AOSP. Also it has a custom kernel which sets it apart even more. Nice try
Dr.Ketan ROM V7 is my 3rd rom.. a bit buggy but still a best rom from all rom i have tried.. now downloading the Dr.Ketan Custom control ROM V7.1..
Dr Ketan got V7.1 now

As someone metioned here. All depends on whta you want in your phone. All ROMs here are great and I have tested few of them. For me I look for the lightest RAM consuming ROM with Aircommand . I can say Phantom and X-Tream are the best for what I want.
Phantom rom have note 3 apps like snote etc? How about stability?

Settings not opening in miui v8 6.6.23

After flashing miui v8 I flashed gods kernel simultaneously. Everything seems to work fine but settings does not opens. After clicking it just closes....it does not even shows up in recents.....plz help
do the clean install
in twrp wipe data, system, dalvik, cache - then reboot again in twrp after this wipe
then do zip install
Probably because of gods kernel,it overclocks the cpu and changes the frequency, usually in settings it says quadcore 1.2 ghz and now it just forcecloses because of the different frequency.
Had a similar problem with the vibe ui 2.9 rom.

If you dont care about the android version,go with cm11 or carbon kitkat.
Anyway, with phantom kernel the battery life is the same on cm12.1 and xosp 6.0.1 .Cm12.1 is bugless right now, when on the xosp there are minimal bugs.MIUI 8 is also really good. You can try Resurrection remix M 5.7.0,too.

Look at the section for roms and kernels, they are easy to find. For all lollipop/marshmallow roms use phantom,if you choose miui better stay on stock kernel or go with telo. For cm11 and carbon kitkat,I believe there was a kitkat version of phantom, google it,its somewhere in xda.

Rom doesnt matter, but just a clue, kernels dont work well with miui and other non-aosp/cyanogenmod based roms.

Custom ROMS recommendation

So i have the official 5.1 android and for 2 years i haven't changed from the official builds so i'm not familiar with custom Roms on nexus 7. Because the 5.1 is soooooo slow and the battery is very poor i want to ask you guys what custom rom should i install on my device and also what can i do about my battery. I don't want the newest OS, i want stability and performance (not for gaming, just usual stuff), and with a good battery life that would be great.
P.S: if you know a good ROM please send me a link .

My choice is Pure Nexus plus Parrot mod and fstrim. It has made my Nexus 7 into my daily driver again.

Pure Nexus had trouble viewing internal storage through some apps, so I ditched it.
CyanogenMod 11 + Nexus Security Fixes [2016-08-05] with Parrotmod is great, definitely bought my device back to life. It's KitKat but marginally faster than Marshmallow in Pure Nexus.
Yeah ParrotMod changed everything for this aging device and brought it back to life.
before jumping on custom rom, if you havent done that yet OP, i would recommend to try one more thing, that worked for me.
i got LP tablet, and wanted improve speed and all that,so I rooted, installed TWRP, so I could install Franco kernel and Parrot mod.
i followed most of recommendations from Nexus7tuningGuide, that you can find on Xda, and now it works fantastic!!!!
comparing to recommended cm11 (that i use on different tablet) it beats hands down! (tests run on Antutu benchmark)

Stock sammy ROM gives the best battery life and performance in games. However, stock ROM may experience slowdowns over time which may be resolved with a clean flash. If you want AOSP, Resurrection Remix is a good choice, but you will have to sacrifice some in-game performance and camera quality.
As for which kernel, it is generally best to stay on the included kernel unless you absolutely need features like fast USB charge and sound modifications.

Other than nolimits, the ROMs you've mentioned are quite dated. For official stock ROM, download the unbranded firmware from sammobile or from updato. Samsung has stopped updating their firmware so it is highly likely that ROMs based on stock will be discontinued as well.
Flash using ODIN.

Pretty much all of the ROMs I've mentioned previously are the best in my experience. With the AOSP ROMs, ensure you have the latest bootloader and baseband otherwise fingerprint sensor will be disabled.
Try CrDroid best aosp rom that i have used in a while.
LineageOS 14.1 (android 7.1.2) best stable, performance, battery use for me.
Alliance Rom, From Kitkat and above
[ROM601]SUPERLite MM*330mb*G900F/T/W8/P/V/M/I/root,5wboot,2fast,nolag,multilang,&more

If you are not concern with your battery life, you can try DOT OS or HAVOC and also, you can try flashing a custom kernels like Darkonah, PHB or Azure, both have overclocked feature for squeezing more power. but for me, better stick with stock rom for better battery and decent performance. :good::good:
Thanks for the advice bro. Im currently using MIUI and this iscthe first time i use custom rom on X00TD and i actually amazed by the battery life and performance of this rom. Im just wondering how other roms performs

Ok, man. The rom which has best gaming performance, least memory usage in this forum is LineageOS but it doesn't have many customization. Look for a Balanced ROM? Try DotOS.

Havoc is a heavy customized ROM and will not give good performance. I tried it and don't have good game performance.

HAVOC is no good imho (bad gps lock and random phone shutdowns)
i tried a LOT of roms over the last year and i just reverted back to latest stockrom since each and every rom seems to have its drawbacks
what works in one rom doesnt work in the other and vice versa
what i would like is a fully debloated stock rom with a battery saving kernel but i have been able to find a rom that has that
I just want to update this thread. Its been almost 5months since i made this thread. Now i have the samw question. Who among you guys know the best rom for gaming? Thanks kn sdvanced.
