Hello,
I've flashwed twrp-3.0.1-0 onto my phone successfully, however, when I go into recovery, there is only folders and no files. How do I fix this?
U will need to delete data as in the twrp thread if u have just rooted and installed this.
Edge of insanity

Here I did it before and I never got a message says root access has been lost.
1. Odin it back
2. Root by using causal method
3. When phone reboot itself into recovery TWRP
4. Don't back up just reboot into welcome screen
5. It should ask you to install superuser, just install it
6. Finally, reboot into recovery and make nandroid back up.
On step four, I back up by using nandroid before superuser install. When I change rom, message always telling me I have lost root access quite often this way.

thats usually what i do, i tried 4 times. It doesnt ask me to install su, its already installed.
i might just have to update and wait for new root method.
Download a superuser/supersu zip file and flash it through your twrp/cwm recovery and reboot.when I first rooted my I337 ATT S4
It would loose just as I would enter recovery and my recovery would ask if I wanted to fix it before rebooting. After flashing the supersu zip file
I have had zero issues with root.

How to Update to 2.0.1 with stock recovery
So I just got my OP2, i want to update it to 2.0.1.
Can someone give me some instructions?
I saw on the forum but with the twrp, I dont want to use twrp. I think I should just copy the 40mb file to the phone and basically install it in recovery without any cache cleaning right?
I didnt change anything on the phone.
Thank you for your attention.

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy s4 (KitKat) with towelroot. I used CWM to backup everything as I'm supposed to do. It says I've lost the recovery file? Can someone help me. O have no access to a computer.
I need a .zip file for cwm recovery I have another phone with root access that I can use to transfer the .zip file to the cwm folder to restore the device.
It is US CELLULAR 4g lte, SCH- (I can't remember the rest of that)
I'm gonna cry. Please help me....
What exactly is the problem here? Your phone doesn't boot anymore or what?

You can always flash a custom ROM.

Sorry. I don't know when you responded. Slow network. It just won't boot past the CWM recovery/reeboot system now screen. It says my CWM folder is empty. I have an S3 I can use to transfer the .zip CWM file to the SD card of the S4, if I had the .zip file. I have no way to a computer to do anything like that, that way. The I'm Samsung Leiss? (I think) to restore it back to the factory version.
Thanks for answering. Appreciate it a lot.

If you mean that you can use a s3 backup on the s4, then no, don't do that, i believe you can flash the stock firmware using your phone by MobileOdin or Flashfire apps...i guess, but i never tried them so i wouldn't recommend, if you have CWM recovery installed, you can try flashing a stock based ROM from development thread(if you like TW ROMs), you can also flash any custom ROM available for your model in the development thread.
Hi all,
I'm trying to root my phone for the first time. I could successfully flash into the TWRP recovery mode but I don't have SuperSU on my internal memory. I have no idea how to transfer the file on the phone memory and my phone is not being detected on my PC. Any clues on what I could be doing?
Thanks
I put it on flash drive and used otg

No need to delete the thread, just explain what you did to solve it and leave the thread for future users with the same issue to learn from.
I will chime in because I have been studying up before my phone arrives. With twrp installed you have two options.
1) you can push super user to the phone's sdcard using the adb push command and then install in twrp
Or
2) put the phone in sideload via twrp and install directly from your computer using the sideload command.
YouTube is a great source to learn how to do both.
Thanks. I think I installed the supersu app on the playstore, which took care of it for me
