O2 XDA Mini won't power on

Hi All,
Got a problem with a Mini. The unit will not power on. It doesn't appear to charge either. When I remove the battery, and re-insert, I hear a "click" noise but nothing after that.
The LED does not light when power is connected.
It does not hard reset.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sonny
Update
Ok, here's an update to the above post.
When the battery is inserted and the back cover is off, the LED on the top glows red. When the back cover is put on, the LED turns off.
The unit will not work from external power with or without the battery installed.
Does this help?
SF
Must be someone out there that can help?
got the same problem...
see if you can try another battery, mine does not power on without the battery in anymore. The back cover must be on before you can power it on and the red light means that it is charging but there is not enough charge to turn on.
same prob. here...
i am surfing on the net of my XDA when it shutdown i thought it was a battery problem so i try to charged it but i've noticed that it didn't opened for a couple of hours of charging. i tried to reset but it didn't work. so i decide to hard reset my phone but again it did'nt work, and now my XDA II mini WM 6.1 is totally dead.... i also tried to flash my phone but the activesync of my phone cant detect my PC, and even rebooting my phone also did'nt work.
i've also notice that everytime i charge and unplug the charger of my phone the redlight blink on the "led?"(correct me if i'm wrong) for a seconds...
Same here. My phone is dead when I'm trying to flash it. Now it's totally dead. Is there a way to fix this?

you try a hard reset by pressing the camera button and soft reset power simultaneously

Cingular 8125 Won't turn on or off using Power Button

My Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard) was working perfectly until I noticed that amber charging indicator was not on when I plugged the charger into it.
Soon after finding this problem, I found bigger problem. It won't turn on or turn off when I press the power button.
Only ways to turn it on are to press the reset button or to pull out or push in mini SD card. Once it is on, the 8125 works fine. I set the 8125 "turn off device if not used for 1minute" in Battery Power setting for turning it off.
For some reason, amber charging indicator is now back on and the battery is charged OK and it lasts 3-4 days as it did before. But it still won't turn on or off.
I even tried Hard Reset but it didn't fix the problem.
Would it be simply a power button problem?
Has anyone had the same problem and found a cure for it?
Thanks for reading.
mine too
wierd just happened suddenly how did you get it to turn on again if you pull the battery? identicl symptoms anyone else? help!!!!
same problem..pls help
I am having the same problem on my phone. Did you guys fix the problem? Can some one please help.
1. Has it been dropped before?

Bricked Jasjar or Battery Problem?

Guys, my Jasjar just died today while I had about 1/8th of the bar left. I didn't see it die with my own eyes, I just put it in my pocket, when I brought it out next it was dead.
Now I am worried about whether it is just a battery problem or if the hardware is really shot. Whenever I try to press the reset button the orange LED lights up for a split second, then nothing. If the unit is plugged in to a PC via USB the PC will detect it momentarily, then tell me there was an error recognizing the device.
If I press both Soft Keys the Orange LED flashes momentarily and I end up getting the boot loader screen where I can press 0 to reset to factory defaults or x to cancel. Regardless of which I do the phone dies out immediately afterwards.
With these symptoms, can anyone here tell me whether it is a battery problem or a hardware problem with the phone itself (and thus needing far more drastic repairs).
I am hoping it is just a battery problem.
Please advise, thanks.
Just an update if anyone has the same problem, I was able to fix the problem by re-flashing my ROM.

can't turn on HD with power button ...

hi,
anybody got the problems that the HD turns itself off automatically. Then when you press the powerbutton it won't turn on. You have to take out the battery and put it back, then it will turn on.
The power-button work fine and you can turn it on/off with the power button, but after a while problem occure again, and you have to take out the battery to turn it on. This is the first time it happens to my HD, I have a European HD and am using it in USA, could that be the cause of the problem ?
Will see if the problems occure when I'm back home, but just wanted to know if any other have had the same problem.

Sounds like your connection between battery and phone is faulty.
When you first insert battery connection is good but after a period of time this connection becomes loose.
There has been a few other threads regarding this if you do a quick search.
My recommendation would be to take phone back and get a replacement
That's not a battery problem. I have the same problem sometimes. If u press the reset button, whitout touching in the battery, the HD turns alive.
I guess that is a software/firmware problem.
Guys, just check here, we had similar problems too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same thing happened to me 3 days after i first got it, the supplier gave me a new phone. I think it is the button itself that is faulty, it's as if it is pressed constantly. Do u also get the message that your phone will be turned off when you turn it on by reinserting the battery?
no, I don't get any message when I reinsert the battery.
I back in europe now, and have changed the phone setting to GSM and not had the problem for 2 days now.
have tried to press the power button a couple of times but can't recreat the error I had. so just going to see how it works in the coming days.

Phone powers down after attempting to take a photo

Hi Guys,
I am wondering if anyone is having this problem or has had this problem and knows how to fix it.
Basically what happens is the battery is over 70 percent and when I attempt to use the camera whether it be taking a picture or video the phone will shut right off, then when I attempt to restart it by pressing the power button, it will not power up.
The only way to get it to turn on is to remove the battery and reinstall it. I di notice that the back of the phone is very warm.
Here is what I have tried, originally I was thinking it had something to do wit ht he sd card failing, so I removed it and turned the phone on but the problem keeps happening. I also tried leaving it alone to see if letting it cool down would fix the problem but again it keeps happening.
I do not want to restore the phone but I might just have to do it.
Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried taking a picture with the phone plugged into an outlet to see if it's a faulty battery?
Bad battery mine was doing same thing, Everytime I opened snap chat or try to take a picture at 50ish percent phone would shut down. New battery solved the issue for me.
