Good day, I'm running RR and the stock weather always works until a few days ago. I couldn't figure out the problem so I did a fresh install today only to find out it still does not work. It finds my location but does not show the weather. Other weather apps from the market works fine. Does any one know how to fix this?

My Launcher Pro calendar has stopped updating. By this I mean that the day is no longer updated. Today it will show as 1/6 and tomorrow it will still be stuck on 1/6, etc. until I manually refresh it. What should I do?
(I have considered using other widgets like Pure Calendar etc. but I don't really like them and I would rather have Launcher Pro widget work.)
Try installing another launcher, then force closing Launcher pro. Then restarting it again.
Or maybe check Market to see if there is an update.
I have the latest version of LP. I also tried force closing it but it still gives the same problem. Also, I noticed that the calendar updates the events as I update them on Google calendar (just the day isn't updated).
I have a weird problem with the HTC clock/weather widget on my home screen. It never updates my current weather for my present location. The other weather cities update, but not my current location. It was OK until recently. But the problem has persisted for several days now.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there is fix?

Sometimes the widget acts funny but I've noticed that if I would allow a GPS lock to my current location and then refresh the widget, it would then update properly.
This was also true for a Desire. I'm thinking the HTC "weather server" goes down at times.
I had this at the weekend, except it was the location on the widget that was wrong... came back from Glasgow and more than a day later it still didn't update to Aberdeen. I fixed it by clearing Weather Data in Manage Applications and Location Data from browser. Seems ok now.
accuweather.com has been a bit dodgy recently, ive had the same problems with my weather clock

I turned on my A500 (rooted) this morning and my location and weather widgets were gone. I had to reinstall them and had the weather widget kept crashing. It finally worked the third time. Anyone else having similar problems? Thanks !

I think it's normal to lose all your widgets when rooting. It happened to me too.

are you using any type of launcher or widget locker?
Thanks for the replies. I rooted my A500 a couple of days ago... I have turned off a few times in between. (Adding media to SD card, etc). I am not using any launcher or widget locker. I rebooted a few times just now and everything seems to be back to normal.
about a week ago just as i switched to CM7 on my HD2 and Nexus One, i noticed that Google weather widget stopped working. I have to press refresh multiple times in order for it to lock the locstion. anyone else experience this? I mean it works but, but most of the time I see "no weather information"
i had the same problem with some other roms(sense 3.4, miui or cyanogenmod)
i decided to use another app like lg weather or fancy widget

everything worked fine on Miui. I remember a long tIME ago its weather channel that had problems with providing info for widget to work. I am thinking maybe they screwed up something again
Hello.
I'm having several issues with the default android weather widget.
I'm using CM7 weekly 4# (Dec 10th) and wiping doesn't solve it, neither does deleting its data folder in /sdcard/android/data/ (which has the words "news-content-cache" in it and I don't use the news feature).
First problem is that even though it's set to auto update, it only updates when I tap the widget to open it. sometimes it doesn't do that either.
Second problem is that when I tell it to update manually it does nothing at all, I have to press the "i" button at the top right to show the daily forecast and only then it starts to update.
Third problem is that it fails to update 9 out of 10 times, even if I set the location manually and not "use my location".
On both WiFi and cell connection.

I'm not using any task killers and pretty much "stock" cm7 weekly 4#.
This is weird for me because my former Motorola Milestone with cm7 didn't have any of those issues.
So the question is, what am I doing wrong?
Get "Weather & Toggle Widget " from market see if it works better .

"Weather & toggle widget" is not a free app so I rather not spend money on testing, instead I installed "Weather widget" by the same developer.
It works fine, Oddly enough the stock weather widget stopped giving me update errors for now.
I rather not use third party applications for something that is available by default.
Plus the default widget is simple and clean, the ones in the market are too "pretty"
Edit:
Uninstalling the weather widget from the market makes the stop widget give update errors as I wrote in the first post, installing the weather widget from the market make the stock widget update normally.
Any one has any idea why that is?
