I have rooted my G2 and put TWRP on it and just backed up my stock rom. is there anything elese i should back up. i know on smasung devices you should back up you EFS folder becuase that contains files for you imei, is there any files on the g2 that should be backed up?
If you select all the items of the nandroid menu you backed up also EFS folder. Then you are ready to flash a rom

I'm on ROM and everytime I backup Boot + Data + System using TWRP, the backup size is > 2 GB and the Data itself is ~ 1.5 GB. I don't know why??
I tried,
Clean install and restoring backup from TiBu
Clean Install and setting up Data for each app
Dirty install
But for each of these the problem (or behavior) remains the same? Is this normal or more on the upside?
Me too with last twrp 2.7.0 i have backup my stock KitKat and was 4.2 GB.

I think the weight comes from your apps and theirs data. So if you're have many games, the weight increase

Ok thanks ?

Did you enable compression? Backup and Restore is going to take longer, but your backup is smaller.
I was just using my phone, and suddenly it shut off I think the OTA accidentally started.
Now it only goes to recovery mode TWRP?
What do I do?!
Download any rom. Place it in a OTG USB. Then plug in it, wipe all and install the rom.

Anyway I can save my data?
I don't know. But you can try. Do a backup ( only DATA! ). Don't backup system. Now is bricked. After you backed up your data, do a full wipe and reinstall your previous system.

Hi ,
I do not know what rom you have... try to flash rom again no wipe and gapps
I've recently done the same thing and have had a whole host of issues. Is the system really sluggish and every few minutes different processes keep crashing?
If it is, I had the exact same issue. What I did was boot back into your recovery and then wipe delvik and wipe user data. This got rid of all the apps and stuff but meant that device was behaving as normal. So I could just re download from the play store.
The only issue I've since had is some apps like snap chat or whatsapp won't allow me to view videos or download images (in whatsapp case). It's almost like there's no where for it to save the media, even though the phone has plenty of free space. Swiftkey as well can't download the language pack either.
Seem to be having some real issues since restoring my back up. But don't want to hijack this thread.

I think you've misunderstood. It's not a rom I flashed on to the phone. It's a nandroid back up that I made of the original stock rom that came with the phone with all my apps on. I made that back up before flashing any custom rom.
I since then restored that backup. But when I restored it, all the processes kept stopping. By the sounds of it that's what the original poster has done as well.

Hi ,
Yes i understood what you meant , still applies somthing went wrong during re installation of backup , if the rom is stock then you need to do a factory reset clear dalvick and cache and re install manually all you apps, if rom is custom , clear dalvick , cache , flash no wipe and re install manually
For all: CWM/TWRP recoveries don't backup /preload partition, Philz does. It's needed on stock ROM since there are some system apps inside, without them you'll have a lot of errors. In this case, if you haven't used Philz recovery (in custom backup mode including /preload) the only way to restore stock ROM is to reflash through Odin

Is that the reason some apps don't work for me? They think they don't have access to the sd card. But I don't have an sd card? Seems like a partitioning issue?

It's because you restored stock ROM from a nandroid backup not made with Philz recovery, reflash with Odin and they'll work

i have seen so many videos on the internet for so many different phones where the person shooting the video backs up and restores the stock ROM via CWM and TWRP recoveries and after restoring everything works fine without any crashes in the system apps? what is the reason for that?

Samsung devices are slighty different, and depends from device to device too. TouchWiz UX devices (Ace 2, Ace 3, S Advance, S2, S3, S3 mini, S4, S4 mini, S5, S5 mini, Note, Note 2, Note 3 etc) have this /preload partition for some system apps, and only Philz can backup and restore

Massive thanks for explaining this, will reflash stock rom in Odin.
After upgraded CyanogenMod ROM, my n10 gives me 'Google partner setup' error. I can't exit from it, it continues to repeat. I wiped cache but it appears again. How can I solve it?
