I'm still waiting for the Glacial Silver on ATT. I prefer the texture of the Silver and Gold ones to the Gunmetal.

I'm going for the Gunmetal, mainly because I want a change from my current silver M7.
I just hope its not more prone to scratches ):

I ordered Gold this time. Had Silver first. Majority of the people I've seen had Gunmetal. When red is released I'll get that one.

Gunmetal gray for me. Gold would be nice but I think those will be in short order where I live so I´ll take the next best thing (or the best depending how its goint to look in real life).

I'll be getting the Gunmetal Grey one.
The silver M7 looked great, but only because the white plastic went great with it.
I think Gold looks gaudy on both the M7 and M8.

I had a silver m7. Gunmetal looks nice bit then again I might like the silver one. Gold is really not an option.

All my electronics are black. So black it is. Well the Note 2 was silver but you get the point.

Even though the white looks very nice (just got a hands on @ the Best Buy across the street), I like the black look of my Note 3, which is why I opted for the black one

Black one here. The White looks really good, but will only last a few months at the most before it starts to look dirty even after cleaning it.

$900 for a phone without LTE? Wow that's insane.

Preordered the black. I'm not a fan of white faced phones, the bezels stand out way too much. Look at the iPhone 6 plus, it's the most god awful gaudy looking phone with the white front/bezels. On the other hand I'm impressed with the white Note 4 and would consider the white, it's very well done and the bezels don't stand out too badly.

What options will you get with your Moto Style/Pure? How will you customize it?

Although I have a poll for this thread, I'm sure it could never capture all the various things everyone will do. But how do you plan to order your Moto X Style/Pure?

I wish moto did a velvet back texture... but then I realise that I'd just be buying a case to protect my prized possession anyway!
Probably get the violet/purple back plate, gold accent. Get my name or something written on the back too.

I know it's been advertised as an optional microSD card slot, but I understand that to mean you can add your own memory. The card slot is with the sim slot from what I've seen.

My intention is for the phone to be all black.
Also not sure if I will get Leather or the Silcon type of backing. I think I need to feel both before I buy, as I hate the feeling of silicon cases so wonderig if it will be same ... but surely it cant be because the Silicon cases feel tacky and cheap.

With a Black front panel you can only get the Dark Grey frame.
White front panel you have the option of Chamapange Gold or Silver.

Not my preference, but always props to MKB .
I'm starting to think I won't get any text on the back. That may not go over well in certain business and formal settings.
So I'll get the black leather, with probably silver accents. The front will also be black.

Not too sure about all the options but looking at a black front, dark gray sides, dark wood on the back...I think it's Ash wood?? No idea yet on any accents and as for engraving...welllllll, I tend to sell my phones so I doubt that anyone will want someone else's name engraved on their newly purchased used phone!

Yeah I was thinking this exact set up ... however not sure if I'd like the feel of the wood, this is my only issue at the minute that we cant see the options in person. Not sure where I would be able to in the UK once its released.

I was thinking the same, but I am worried about the grip, considering how big it is. Now thinking regular black back with blue metal accent. I love the charcoal ash and walnut backs, but not sure how practical they are for the long term.

While I'd prefer the bamboo or walnut backs, I think I'm going with Ebony. Engraving appears to stand out better on that back. So yes on the engraving and I'm hoping to grab the 64GB.

I hope they come out with a keyboard accessory like the note 5! :/

Did you guys go Black Sapphire or Gold and why?

I went Gold, I couldn't get my mind off of it when I first heard of the release.
The way it shines and looks so high quality is what makes it so appealing.

I went with Gold as well...undoubtedly the most beautiful phone I have ever owned. I get giddy every time I look at it ☺☺

i wanted the silver but not in stock so got gold i was a bit indecisive any way roll on 4 september 64gb to

went with Gold, in india they have not introduced other colors, just Silver and Gold, Even if other options were there, would have picked the gold hands down. So beautiful.

I have always had black color phones for the past 10+ years (iPhones, Galaxies, HTC, and on) with the last one being Note 4. I was hesitant going with gold color since I hate the iPhone 6 gold color (my wife has one).
But this one is aptly called "Platinum gold" and the way it shines/looks in various lighting conditions (daylight, CFL lights, fluorescent, inside/outside, dark, dusk and so on...) is STUNNING.
Looks different, elegant and beautiful at different places (depending on the light conditions).
Stores have it under only 1 light.. you may or may not like it... if you take the same phone under different lighting conditions, it may surprise you.
If you are debating: GO FOR IT. You won't be disappointed.

I ate my pride and pay $35 for restocking fee.. but its all worth it. Platinum is such a killer.

I bought the black sapphire, I don't really like gold or the gold color...would have liked to have the silver but they didn't have any.

Had Silver Titanium in my mind when I went to store, but Gold Platinum is just a class apart. Came back with Gold.

Guys which color would you recommend. Both color has one advantage and one disadvantage like: Black color G6 is fingerprint magnet but front is more immersive with hidden black border. Platinum color has black thin border around screen. However back is less prone to smudges.
I wanna know how is the look and feel. Is there is any difference. I didn't find any topic related to color so made one:silly:

I'm not sure you are going to get a conclusive answer here.
Personally I went for the Platinum. I don't use a case and thought the platinum/silver would hold up better over time, also all of my phones have been black so I thought I would have a change this time. I'm very happy with my decision, although I would say the black probably looks nicer when it's clean.
The only real way you are going to be able to make a decision though is by going to a store and looking at both.

The paint on the aluminum on the black one also chips so have that in mind. I've had both colors. First a platinum and now a black one. It's hard to pick a favorite but black just "always works". Though the silver front can reflect light pretty nicely at times.

The grip is just fine! Feels good in the hand. Though the back is a smudge magnet and feels greecy. Going to Dbrand mine.
The black paint on the aluminum will go off if you hit the sides of the aluminum. Making silver spots on the black paint. In a while it could get potentially ugly and look like wear and tear.

I think all manufacturer should add black front only. Other colors like white, silver or gold effect the viewing experience and looks bad. My HTC 10 topaz gold was having white front bezels with similar black borders around screen, so I added black color orzly tempered glass instead of white one to make it look black lol it works

I was not a fan of the platinum until I saw it for real. I wanted it when I saw it but it turned out I could only get black anyway. I am glad I did. The all-black front looks better to me and I like the darker coating on the aluminum edge too. Of course the platinum back looks better and there is no coating on the aluminum to wear off. To me the decider there is which part of the phone I will be looking at 99% of the time. But for others the decider will be which part of the phone OTHER people will be looking at.
Ultimately I'd say you wouldn't regret either though so I wouldn't agonize over it too much.

I wanted white, but it turns out that the white one is gold/pinkish so I took a look at the grey and the black one... The grey "looks" cheaper than the black one imo, but that might not be important to you.
I really like white phones because I have sweaty hands and I leave a lot of smudges on black phones. You can't tell on white ones.
The main reason I went with the black is because there is a black border around the screen... its very obvious on the white and grey phones but on the black one its invisible! It would have annoyed the living hell out of me...
I'd suggest you go look at all 3 variants in person and decide there... I was really close to purchasing the girly white one online, hopefully i didn't.

My wife & I each got a new G6. She went with platinum and I with black so we could easily tell whose phone was whose... And then she went out & got a "cute" (read obnoxious) case so it didn't matter anyway.

I am using titanium/silver variant, and its dam good
Hey buddy, its been a while i am using LG g6 silver, The problem u r talking about the border, i never notice it on a normal usage, I just notice when I read any article stating this issue and then my eyes intentionally focus on black border, Silver looks really classy and I recommend it.
But if u like black and the only reason it is a fingerprint magnet, then u can buy cover or dbrand cover for ur LG g6, which will look awesome on black lg g6. And anyways the drop test isn't so impressive as u must have seen on youtube. You won't keep your phone without cover anyway.

Double thought about the color here too...
I wanted to buy the platinum one at first, but the thing is that my carrier only have black one. So after a few articles and YouTube videos, it turns out black is also a good deal, in some segments maybe even better then platinum? I'll just have to take care of the back (skin or cover), right?

I saw that video also, black is a finger print magnet, wanted platinum anyway, so that's what I got. Happy with it.
One thing additionally though, the question about 'how it feels', some say 'good size' etc, I agree, except one thing, this phone is slick as snot. Slickest damn phone I've ever had. You really want to use a deliberate grip, it will surprise with how slippery it can be.
Love it though, awesome phone

I too wanted a platinum, but was not in stock. Ended up getting the blue one with the black front, best of all worlds I'd say!

Black LG G6 looks stunning... Go for black color.. you will love it

Yup, went for the black... It does look awesome!

Bought one of each, gave my wife the choice of which one she wanted. She chose the platinum. Now I'm kind of wishing I hadn't offered her the choice. The black looks like any other phone; the platinum looks rich and classy.
