Hello.
I guess I am done with my S4(i9500). Too many strange problems since past one week.
So, I was on Halycon ROM and one fine morning, phone restarted and all apps started optimizing again. Ok no issues.
But now I noticed, whenever I restarted, 2-3 apps optimized everytime.
So did a clean flash and installed Cri5.
Now restored some apps and then 1 app optimizes on boot now. Is there a way to log which app is causing the problem?
There's one issue. Another issue is phone restarts randomly when gets up too hot and gets stuck on S4 boot screen. Have to remove battery and restart to boot it up..
Another issue is that the phone isn't being recognized by my PC. Tried Kies. Tried everything. I don't get the MTP menu when I connect the power cable.
Oh, and another issue, I guess my SD card is infected with a virus. Any recommended free antivirus for android?
Thanks if you could help me with one of the aforementioned problems.
Regards
Sounds like you need to flash back to stock in order to rid yourself of the software issues. If the issues are present on a stock ROM, it could be a hardware problem.

Hello,
I have a problem with my i9505. The phone had been rooted with stock ROM. I've installed Avast Antivirus and decided to install Anti Theft feature. Installing it requires reboot. After confirming rebooting the phone beeped twice and rebooted. And this is where my problem begins.
After reboot the screen is black. It shows nothing. The phone boots, LED shows charging, connecting and disconnecting charger makes phone beep, but with few seconds delay. Connecting to PC shows content of phone memory.
I have managed to get to recovery. Odin had seen the phone so I've flashed official Samsung ROM. It didn't help.
Surprisingly after few hours with battery removed the phone started to work normally... until the next reboot.
And now it works until the reboot. After reboot the screen is black. After about 30 minutes without battery it works again.
The phone never got dropped or damaged in any way.
Before I get my phone to the service (hoping that they'll fix it under warranty) I'd like to ask you, if somebody had similar problem and knows how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
Same problem on same phone
Hi,
I too had this problem, and fixing it wasn't difficult, however I used the TWRP recovery which @ingvarr_zaag probably doesn't have installed (seeing as they had stock firmware). Nevertheless I can confirm this identical problem on my own i9505.
I was using a CM10.1 nightly build for my i9505 and attempted to install the AVAST Anti-Theft feature using the root install method. On the first attempt at installation there was a free-space error, in which the amount of free space shown in the /system partition had overflowed and showed negative free space. To work around that error I filled up my /system partition until there was only 100mb free and then the install worked. All went well until I did a reboot; the phone hung at the i9505 screen.
I tried rebooting the phone and removing the battery for a short while, but nothing worked - the phone still hung at the i9505 screen. However, all other functions worked, so I just reflashed CM10.1 after wiping /cache, /data (but not /data/media), /system, and the Dalvik-cache (though that is in /cache AFAIK so pretty redundant). All was fine after that reflash, other than the annoyance of having to set everything up again (didn't make a backup recently).
Obviously the Anti-Theft wasn't very secure if it could be removed by a simple reflash. But to be fair, I highly doubt any software can protect itself from a format!
Anyway, just letting people know that I can confirm this this problem exists, and how I fixed it on my phone.

I had Clockwork Recovery installed but I couldn't use it, because after reboot the screen was black. I managed to get to android recovery and flashed stock Samsung ROM by Odin. It didn't help.
After 2 weeks in service it's possible that today I get my phone back. Finally, because two weeks with Samsung Galaxy Advance were miserable.
Actual status on service's page says, that they replaced main board in my phone.
BTW: no Avast Anti Theft ever again.
Hello All
My Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) keeps on freezing then rebooting in an unusual way.
The problem is intermittent, it would constantly happen in certain periods and happen less frequently in other periods. At the moment, i can beerly use my phone for 1 minute before it does it again and again. And in this minute apps are just crashing. I get the pop-up messages of applications crashing. I tap ok only for the same message to instantly reappear.
Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped
Unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
The issue would happen when the phone is in sleep mode (screen turned off), while im using it, in safe mode or even when its rebooting or on the splash screen.
I am using the original battery and charger that came with the phone and never flashed or rooted my phone. I have however had to flash it couple of months ago after it bricked all by itself. I used one of the firmwares from www.samsung-updates.com
See this video to understand exactly what is happening

Please give me ideas/suggestions of what to do

1. It seems you recovered one image of one backup with the recovery.
2. SOLUTION: Reflash the firmware through ODIN. The latest for your phone is this one: HERE.

Try to flash firmware package with the latest version of ODIN and Sammy drivers, also use the original cable that came with the phone. Often, cables that aren't Samsung genuine fail to flash firmware.
If this doesn't solve your problem, then you might try a firmware reflash with PIT file. If nothing works, your processor (or motherboard) it's likely fried. Take it to a service centre

Hello,
I am having issues finding what the problem is on my phone. The problem all started when I rooted and installed a custom rom on my galaxsy s5. It worked perfectly for a couple of months. Then I started noticing this weird issue whenever I plugged in any headphones the phone would automatically restart. I didn't really look into the problem like that and just kept it the way it was, since I used bluetooth alot.
The problem progressed to the point that when it restarted itself it would go into a boot loop. I would have to take out the battery wait a few seconds then plug it back in. At this point I decided to restore back to stock firmware. But this made the problem worse. Now its a 15% chance the phone boots up normally, and 85% chance it boots to a black screen. By black screen I mean it boots up normally but I cannot see anything on the screen. I hear the sounds, and touch still works.
If I am lucky and it boots up normally it works perfectly for a few hours. Then at randomly when I put the phone to sleep it restarts itself. There is no reason I can think is causing this problem.
Phone Info:
Model: G900T 16GB
Firmware: Stock 5.0
Flashed With: Odin 10.x.x
Please help me diagnose my problem so I can fix it.
Possible Hardware Issue:
Digitilizer/LCD : Black screen explains this. But also if I do not put the phone to sleep it will work for days. Boot screen, Download Mode, Recovery all work without problem.
Internal Memory - Could be, that means I have to throw the phone away. But wouldn't nothing also work...

Possible Software Issue:
Corrupt Rom/Cache: Flashed several different kinds of stock rom, all with same result. Used recovery to delete cache.
Virus: Yeah leaning towards this.. Maybe somehow hooked itself to the core aspects of the phone.
Recovery/Download Mode Corrupt: This part of the phone is corrupt. 15% chance of booting to recovery. And Download Mode doesn't delete all user data.

Flash the correct PIT file along with (Same time) as a stock ROM, if the problem persists, hardware is the issue

um.. maybe you are right. Motherboard most likely huh.
You had really serious problem, do you try Initializing via kies3 already?

I will try as a last resort, since 5.1.1 is unrootable. You know whats weird I am not having any issues now. I will let it stay like this until it gives me a problem. As a computer science major this is pissing me the fck off. Not being 100% sure that it is a hardware problem.
Hey folks,
I did not find anything on this issue, seems to be rather unique. Let me describe the problem.
This is my father's Axon 7 and he wanted me to get him a different ROM on there, which I did, and it worked smoothly until today. It kept crashing, freezing and was literally unusable for unknown reasons.
So since he was going to be gone for the next few days, I had no choice but to remove the ROM and data and reflash it. HOWEVER I did not delete the internal storage since I did not think it would be necessary. Sitting in the setup, I had issues getting through it, it will not pop up the keyboard to let me type the wifi password neither does it let me pass through if I wanted to use mobile data. It simply gets stuck. Sometimes random android processes tend to crash and put me at the start of the setup and I can't get to the settings which does prevent me from enabling USB-debugging or OEM unlock.
If I try to get into the recovery (which is still on there) it will simply get stuck on the screen that says ZTE, did not work through fastboot either, same issue.
(I do personally think that some app data is corrupted and causes the issue, since I wiped everything except internal storage and I still have major issues)
So here am I, stuck. I hope someone can enlighten me, or tell me how stupid I am and point me at something completely obvious. Thanks

well, you can use EDL maybe?
The fastest way out is downloading the A2017G_FULL_EDL file from our Russian friends and use MiFlash while in EDL mode to flash the cluster**ck of a phone that you have.
The closest thing I've seen was a friend's Galaxy Grand 2 (like 5 years old) that maybe had a part of the system corrupted or a slightly dead eMMC. a bunch of stuff just crashed for no apparent reason. I reflashed the system and it got fixed for some time, then it started doing some weird sh!t again (after booting, you have an 80% chance that it will just freeze forever, hard reboot needed). But let's hope for the best and see if you can recover it by reflashing stock totally. If it still doesn't work you might be able to relock the BL and claim the warranty

Hey,
After a long day I managed to fix it, I was able to use the adb in fastboot and could reinstall the recovery and managed to run it, deleted internal storage and reinstalled everything. Seems to have done the trick. I hope it will keep working now.

Can anyone tell me if the tablet's battery might be responsible for it restarting itself? For example I was using it with a custom rom, and until the moment everything was working normal, and suddenly it started to restart, just by opening an application it crashes and reboots, I already tried to install the stock rom and it got worse, I could not even leave the samsung logo. I was able to install TWRP, but every time I try to reinstall the stock rom before it even starts it hangs and restarts, it has reached a point that it hangs and shuts itself. (Backup from twrp).
My tablet is the model SM -T560, I was using LineageSo 14.1 from T561. If anyone knows anything I appreciate it. The reason for the doubt is because I already took another tablet to repair and according to the technician, that could be the reason, the system was crashing, but from what I researched it was a chronic defect so I did not perform the battery replacement. Now i don't have any money to bay a new battery, and the device became an expensive paperweight.
Help please.
Hello everyone, for those who are in a similar situation, in which the tablet can not open an application without it restarting, reinstalling the stock rom and it keeps crashing and restarting, tried everything via software and did nothing for nothing. The battery arrived today and I'm testing to see if the problem solved and so far everything seems okay, I hope I can help with something.

Uhm Yeah you can help with something, Sorry I wasn't a member when this was posted. Do you by any chance have the CM12.1 Custom ROM for the SM-T561? it's okay If you only have one for the SM-T560
