[Q] Install ADW or LP = Black Screen of Death?

Every time I install a launcher, either ADW and launcher pro and restart, I get the Galaxy S logo, then an infinite black screen. The only way (I know of) to fix it is to do a factory reset, which obviously sucks. I have never gotten a launcher to work.
Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it?
I have a US Cellular Mesmerize, rooted, clockwork mod, and the 1124_test_novoodoo kernel.

Update: I tried again to install Launcher Pro, but this time installed Home Switcher before shutting down. I set LP as my default launcher in Home Switcher, and launched it. It worked fine. However, after restarting the phone, I again have the black screen and lit up keys.

I had this happen the other night on my rooted superdark superfast fascinate. I just pulled the bat, held down both volume keys, held power until I saw samsung and let go of the power. then I loaded a backup and all was fine...

It's working now, I recovered again, restored with Titanium Backup, and tried again with Home Switcher, and this time it worked. Not sure what was up, but problem solved.

Same problem with additional wrinkle
I'm having the same problem, except that I haven't yet successfully got CWM to work on mine (so no ROM backup yet). Do you know of any way to fix this without restoring a backup first?

All you have to do is hit search button on soft keys and find launcher pro or adw and open it and set it as default.

Hi there everyone..Im a newbie here, and this is my first post, really need help and guidance from all of you guys.
I have a very unique matter, the first problem is I have a S4 rooted, after I rooted the phone it seems work just fine for weeks, after that I decided to use a launcher, after I install Next Launcher 3D or Nova Launcher or Go Launcher the phone just go to bootloop situation, then I restored it via CMW method, after restore the phone back to normal condition, not only the launcher, if I install Beautiful Widgets or HD Widgets my phone go to bootloop situation again.
The second problem is after I rebooted my phone the language just change to default language, I mean every time, I already set it to US English in setting and Superuser Apps, but after the phone rebooted is just change to default language of the region.
Can anybody or anyone can help me with this situation cause its really bugging me, please give me a solution. Thanks before for the help.

Emmmm...try another Rom and see..

This post is perfect reference as to why I will not use a custom launcher.
Buggy crap is all I ever found when using them.

You might go into recovery and wipe the Dalvik cache. If you are using CWM it should be located under the 'advanced' tab.

Probably your device is running on buggy rom...
If you want your device just perfect, flash the stock rom and be the tension-free...

[Q] MotoActv Rooted, accidentally did factory reset, now can't access standard launch

I bought a rooted MotoActv, with 2 launchers and the stock launcher installed, and I did a factory reset and now can't get to the standard launcher and am stuck in zeam or honeycomb. . I read that I may need to re-program the keys, but can't seem to get it working - how can I get back to the standard launcher? I don't care about root, I just don't want to be stuck in this launcher anymore as I can't use the watch at all.

The Home button on my 820 dual sim doesn't work after installing Google Now Launcher

It happened after I undated Lollipop in China, it had China Sense, and after i used google now launcher, the button didn;t work anymore. i thought it would go away after reboot.
After installing xposed wrong i had to flash my phone with an Indian lollipop Rom, and after i used titanium backup to get all the backups of my apps and data, i used google now launcher, it happened again.
the button is only functional after i press the multi task button, but other times, nothing happens.
i really hope someone has a solution.

Lockscreen Wallpaper resetting after reboot on Stock LP

Hey everyone!
So, i've always had this little problem which i just can not found a fix for it.
After resetting my phone the lockscreen wallpaper resets to the default lg one, which is a hand touching a flower.
Does anyone know a way to make it stop? or to make my wallpaper be the default one?
I already tried using Gravity Box but the feature to set lockscreen wallpaper just doesnt work...
btw: I'm using stock somboons lp 5.0.2 v30f.
