My g900t with 5.1.1 is rooted. I'm looking for roms with better battery life. Do I need one that works with lollipop or can I use one based on kitkat? I don't understand why it matters since I will be flashing it.
If anyone can recommend any custom roms that would work for me, and that are for good battery life, let me know. As rooted, I've debloated, and Im using nova launcher, and I'm getting about 6hrs screen on time. I'd like more. The phone seems to drain fast in standby too.
Is there any stable a300fu custom rom that can be used daily? Thanks
CM12.1 with Wake Lock works incredibly well, although because of Wake Lock, the battery doesn't last a whole lot.
There's also CM12 Resurrection Remix, which I've been told is better and doesn't need Wake Lock (as such, the battery lasts much longer), but I had some troubles with it, and it wasn't good enough for me to use daily because of those troubles - it might've been something wrong with just my device, though... not quite sure on that - might test it again in a few days.
Other than that, A300FU users are waiting for CM13 which mygalaxya is working on, but... I don't expect it to be finished anytime soon.
Hey guys. I don't mean to be rude because I know I can do the research myself. But I was wondering if any of you have tested the s8 ROM ports, there are a lot lately and I was wandering Wich one do you think is the more stable and has good battery? And thoughts?
Well I am on project dream, that is first s8 Rom i installed and it work awesome, same battery life as on s7 edge rooms, with my usage around 5-6h sot. I want to try project Alice but I don't have any good reason to replace this rom...

I also wanted to install now a S8 Rom port but I can not decide. It seems that none of the currently available is stable and that there are many bugs on all of them based on the comments....
I downloaded the project alice but I am not sure if I should flash it, because it is beta, or use a finished one?
khongloi v2 is the best, good battery life, and almost everything is working. he managed to fix things like the smart view private mode and all those things that aint working on other roms. and it is the first s8 port rom to be made. try it
I could tell you that's it's sac23 port but it's pointless... What I found in that rom maybe isn't what you're looking for... Try yourself is the best option
I use project alise. Disable fast charging first. I have today 3 hours sot and 55% left fast stable. Sac rom drain batery.
I'm using sac23 rom with superstock kernel 2.5.2v as my daily driver

@efkka23 did you face any bugs on project alice, if yes, what kind of? Does BT works as it should? How is the procedure with installing updates of the rom?

Little info. I use sac23 with moro kernel 1.6.2. Battery is very durable. I reached 18h and can 6h sot, and still leaves 40% with mediun usage

Whasapp, bbm, xda, Fbooklite, browsing with opera. And video test (on airplane mode). This device is great for playing video rather than browsing always looking for network. I've compared, without playing video (just social media and browsing), I reach 6hr 30 mins sot but battery stay 30%
i used s8 port by ambasadii and it worked very good, didn't find any bug in the 2-3 day i used it, i'm now testing others but keep ambasadii as the best for now, good battery life.
I am using Batman rom 1.3 ..
No bugs found,

Just went through the motions of going from superman rom to the batman rom. Really enjoying it at the moment so that's another +1 from me port. :good:
Without getting off topic, my bixby home (the far-most left screen on your homescreen) does stop working a few times on my flash, but i've disabled it and works fine, kind of annoying as i used to use it mainly for news feed screen on the s7 roms. Whats a good alternative? Used to by one of my main reasons for sticking with Touchwiz, with that not an option for me I've started experimenting with Nova Launcher.
Hi everyone, I m currently on oxygen os 3.5.9 and my battery drains like crazy. Can you guys please recommend me a rom that gives good screen on time. I am even willing to downgrade to lollipop because battery life is really crucial for me. Thanks!!
I'm in the same case, looking for the best choice with the maximum stability and good battery life
I tried so but returned to LineAge even if the battery life is not really good but the ROM is the most stable ever now
Tonight will try Carbon to test, but if someone found the best compromise in one ROM That it notifies us
Try AOSCP. It's really good.
Moyses I tried lineage and yes the same issue battery is not that great. Hopefully we will find a good battery friendly rom. Let me know how the carbon rom works for you.
Ny_3 thanks I will check it out. What's the average screen on time that you get with this rom?
I would either recommend AospExtended/AEX or Resurrection Remix if you like customizability. I am using AEX and don't have any problems with battery life.

Well I've got 3 and a half hours of SOT but it's really the best I've got on a custom rom (guess my battery is bad). I actually bought a new battery 2 days ago so I will have to check how it is after that. But thats basicaly what I get most of the time using FB messenger Spotify and YouTube. Keep in mind its not full of features. It's kinda like Paranoid 6 : Smooth, not full of features, and really stable.
Hello!
After four years with the same ROM in my note 3, (X-ROM 21.0), due to the phone is a bit slow and so on, I would like to change it.
Could you tell me which room are you using and why?
Thanks!

After trying almost every single rom i am daily driving Darklord reborn v4.1 s7 edge marshmallow rom port by nx team with darklord ux v2.0 kernel.
No bugs so far very fast ui launcher no lag very stable.
Always on display, blue light filter, outdoor mode, ultra power saving mode, theme store game launcher, beats audio,viper4android,dolby atmos, dual speaker sound mod and almost everything working without bugs.
Getting 5 hours of Screen on time on wifi.
Definitely recommend it.
I am not saying other roms are not good it's just my own personal opinion.
Just a quick tip
If you wish to try this rom you must update your bootloader and modem to latest version of lollipop.

You mention always on display, does it actually work on that ROM without excessive battery drain?

Always on display consumes about 2% to 3% battery per hour on this rom.
any other suggestions from other modders? i just got a note 3 and i was wondering which rom is the best up to now. (gaming and moderate battery life)
if you are using a customized kernel, please do mention it maybe i can get an idea from your setup. thank you xda!
Very few active updated roms for Note 3 /likewise many rom downloads long gone .
Start by looking in development for active roms .
